Track: Heavy The track was presented in very wet and slushy condition after recent heavy rain but was considered to be safe for racing. Further assessments were made during the day and although grooming equipment was not able to be used, the track was always considered by the Stewards to be in safe condition for racing and the meeting proceeded relatively smoothly in very wet conditions.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C0 - C0 - 305	LISSADELL JASPER shifted in going to the first corner and checked KIWI PHOENIX who lost ground. MEGA RUSH and HOMEBUSH GAZEL collided in the back straight and they both lost ground and finished in the rear group. HOMEBUSH ANABEL appeared lame following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a cut between the toes on a fore paw.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	THAT IS ALL galloped on the heels of ANITA WIN on the first corner and ANITA WIN lost four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with pain in a trapezius and triangle muscle. HOMEBUSH LACEY then collided with THAT IS ALL and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish near the rear.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron Final C0 - C0f - 305	HOMEBUSH SIENNA checked off the heels of AGENT VICTOR on the first corner and lost a little ground. MARJI MAYCEE checked off the heels of BIG GIRL WELSHY on the first corner losing three lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	PICK A PEPPER shifted out across the heels of CAWBOURNE AVA going to the first corner and lost a little ground.
Race 5	Morrie Gibbons Signs C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH KELLY, YA GUNNA, HOMEBUSH SARINA, HOMEBUSH JODIE and CHARLI CLANG all came together going to the first corner and lost ground with YA GUNNA, HOMEBUSH SARINA and HOMEBUSH JODIE being the most affected losing several lengths and they finished in the last three places.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C2 - C2 - 305	SINGLE SCULLER who was racing well back, checked over the heels of BRUTUS FINALE on the home turn and shifted out making contact with HOMEBUSH TAYLOR and they finished in the last two places.
Race 7	Keenan Concrete Wanganui C1 - C1 - 520	One of the better supported runners WHAT A MATE was slow to begin and then ran a little wide on the first bend but made up ground to finish in 5th place. Another well supported dog LOTTO RASPBERRY was checked on the first corner and she went back to the rear and stayed back to finish last.
Race 8	GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 305	HEALING CRYSTAL was handy enough going into the bend but then drifted off the back of the field and finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a tricep muscle injury. The Trainer advised that HEALING CRYSTAL is now retired.
Race 9	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305	MISS FOLEY and IMA ROYAL raced wide over extra ground on the bend and they finished in the last two places.
Race 10	Couper Catering Feature C1 - C1 - 305	JUST TOM was slow to begin losing two lengths but made up ground to finish in 4th place. HOMEBUSH CRAIG was very handy to the lead going into the bend but was checked losing several lengths and when going back caused checks to NELLY FLAHERTY and WAIRERE MIRACLE .
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator Feature C1 - C1 - 305	The start of this event was two minutes late at the request of the TAB. BILLY HAKA clipped the heels of HAPPY CLAPPY on the bend and they both lost ground and finished at the rear.
Race 12	Wanganui Security Feature C1 - C1 - 305	KILMAINHAM CHILL and BOND ECLIPSE were slow to begin losing three lengths but they both made up ground well to finish in 3rd and 5th places.
