Judicial report: From Waikato - 6 October. HARAJUKU GIRL was presented to the Veterinary Surgeon today and found to have deltoid muscle soreness which was not detected post race on Thursday. After discussion with Trainer Ben Craik and in view of the injury sustained it was agreed that this dog does not have to complete a satisfactory trial as ordered. The connections of the three late scratched dogs were all questioned in regards to their injuries. After hearing their explanations Stewards were satisfied that all injuries were sustained or aggravated well after the scratching time of 7.30am.

Race 1	Auckland Vending Series Heat 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1	CAWBOURNE BEAR, EXCITING GIRL and DEADLY SNIPER were all tardy at the jump. HOMEBUSH CECIL was tightened into the bend as THRILLING SIMONE angled towards the rail. CAWBOURNE BEAR checked outwards off runners on the bend and lost ground. Following the race EXCITING GIRL appeared to be lame with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. HOMEBUSH TUI was found to have a badly sprained wrist after the race with a 42 day stand down recommended.
Race 2	October Maiden Series Heat 1 - C0q - 318 Heat 1	RUBY TRON and the favourite THRILLING TERROR were slow to jump. BON VOGUE got on the back of TWIN RIVERS into the bend badly dragging that runner down with both of these dogs and the trailing THRILLING TERROR being badly checked and losing their chances. KARLA LEWINSKY and AGENT VICTOR came together in the early stages of the straight. A post race veterinary check of TWIN RIVERS revealed no injury.
Race 3	Auckland Vending Series Heat 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 2	KAYTEE DIVA was 1.6 kgs down from her last race weight in March with Trainer Gary Noakes informing Stewards that this weight reduction was planned. KAYTEE DIVA was very slow to jump with SPARTACUS and FRIZZLE FRAZZLE also being slow to leave the traps. SPARTACUS checked outwards off ONE WILD THING into the bend and pushed FRIZZLE FRAZZLE and THRILLING RAY wider with these three dogs all losing ground. Trainer Ron O'Regan was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner DUNN ROBIN YOU. He stated that the dog suffered an injury two starts ago when the lure broke down and has now regained its confidence after that mishap. A recent downgrade and a favoured draw were also factors in today's win.
Race 4	October Maiden Series Heat 2 - C0q - 318 Heat 2	JETSUN PEARL, SUNSET SPOCK and STRAPPED FORCASH were the last to find their paws. The favourite FLYIN REAPER ran outwards soon after the jump coming together with HAIR SHE IS and STAR BOUND. DEB BALE then ran inwards pushing FLYIN REAPER back down to the inside with this runner then being tightened into the bend and losing ground. A post race veterinary check of FLYIN REAPER revealed quadriceps muscle soreness with a fourteen day stand down recommended
Race 5	Magness Benrow Series Heat 1 - C1q - 527 Heat 1	PARNELL MIST was last to jump. STRIKE ONCE attempted to run outwards into the first bend and contacted FANCY TOBY who was improving around the outside. STRIKE ONCE lost ground at this stage and again in the back straight when coming together with SIPPIN TEQUILA.
Race 6	Sel's TAB Mangere Sprint - C4 - 318	KEE was the slowest from the traps. GEMZ and HOLLALICIOUS came together when racing in tight quarters into the bend with RHODA HOLMES being forced wide as a result.
Race 7	Carols TABS Stakes - C2 - 527	SEEING EXCUSES was last to jump. ELEPHUNK ducked outwards soon after the start checking LOCHINVAR LAREDO for a stride. LOCHINVAR LAREDO ran inwards soon after this checking ELEPHUNK, EXCUSABLE and INDEED UNIQUE.
Race 8	Magness Benrow Series Heat 2 - C1q - 527 Heat 2	EDWARD CULLEN was last to jump. There was no head on view available for this race.
Race 9	Auckland Vending Series Heat 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 3	ART ATTACK checked off STILL NO WIVES into the bend and dropped to the rear. On the home turn LOCKLINNE and MOODY TUNES came together for a stride.
Race 10	Trophies Plus Feature Stakes - C3 - 527	CORNELIUS was the last to jump. OSTI'S RUBY ran inwards in the early stages and this combined with ROSIE RHODE running outwards ensured that ASCENDING FORCE and HUSTLER were both badly tightened losing ground.
Race 11	Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C3 - 318	CORPORAL JONES was badly tightened into the bend losing ground. MARK'S PET checked outwards off WHAT'S SHE PAYNE soon after and pushed CORPORAL JONES and HIT DA NOS wider around that bend.
Race 12	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C2 - 318	CAPTAIN COUTTS and BEAR CUB came together into the bend losing ground with JETSUN BELLE being forced wide around these runners.
