Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer Mr G Harding was spoken to in respect of being advised of the wrong kenneling time for his runner in race 6 ,there was a misunderstanding with the club as to when the dogs for this race were to be kennelled The dog THRILLING SOUND was kennelled at 11.30 am He was reminded that it is up to the trainer to make sure that they are aware of the correct kennelling times in the future
The Waikato Greyhound racing club had advised Mr Harding of the correct kennelling time soon after this and were in no way responsable for the late kennelling of THRILLING SOUND

The inquiry in to the late scratching of SHIRONA at last weeks Waikato meeting has been concluded with the Trainer Mr A Bowen providing the Stewards with written confirmation of his vehicle breaking down some distance from the track
Mr Bowen has been reminded to make a better effort to contact the Stewards in the future should there be an issue arise again
The stand down for SHIRONA under Rule 68.7 has been revoked by the Stewards

There was a complaint laid after race 5 on todays card ,that Trainer Mr J Foot had taken his dog back towards and up to the lure when he was in the starters hands before the start of the race, the dog did not grab the lure
Mr Foot was spoken to by the Stewards and was very forthright about this incident and was upset that people thought he may have been trying to get an advantage as he was unaware that this could not be done
Mr Foot was made aware of Rule 88.1.x that refers to the matter , no further action was taken on this occasion the Stewards are of the opinion that Mr Foot was genuine
The Starter Mr D Henwood was reminded of his obligations in being aware of what the handlers are doing when the dogs are in the starters hands
HARAJUKU GIRL has been stood done under Rule 88.1 to complete a satisfactory trial/s in front of the stewards over a middle distance
