Track: Good The track was presented in very good order after the Track staff had made some minor adjustments to the grooming equipment which resulted in the elimination of the grooves which were apparent at the last couple of meetings.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C0 Ht1 - C0q - 305 Heat 1	HOMEBUSH BORIS and THRILLING CHAOS collided at the start and settled back in the field. HOMEBUSH BORIS galloped on the heels of BELLA SIENNA approaching the home straight and they both lost ground and the chance of a first four placing.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 Ht2 - C0q - 305 Heat 2	HOMEBUSH SIENNA and LEOS GIRL were slow to begin losing three lengths but they made up ground to finish in 3rd and 4th places. BREAKIING MELODY started from box 8 and she raced wide throughout covering extra ground and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C0 Ht3 - C0q - 305 Heat 3	INTENSE ZOOM, THAT IS ALL and MEGA RUSH were slow to begin losing three lengths. MEGA RUSH then showed early speed to be handy on the first corner but was checked when SAND QUEEN shifted in and MEGA RUSH went back onto INTENSE ZOOM and they both lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. LISSADELL JASPER shifted out in the back straight and crowded BIG GIRL WELSHY and CAWBOURNE FLICK who both lost ground but they recovered to finish in 2nd and 4th places.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	PHANTOM FOG, HOMEBUSH JODIE and MISS FOLEY were slow to begin losing two lengths. PHANTOM FOG made up ground until he was checked on the first corner when runners drawn further out shifted in and PHANTOM FOG went back to the rear. ASK SIX drew box 8 and was also a little slow to get into stride and was forced to race wide throughout and finished in 2nd last place. YALDHURST FLYER appeared sore following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with wrist and triangle muscle pain.
Race 5	Morrie Gibbons C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH CINDY shifted in going to the first corner and checked CAWBOURNE BEAR who went back to the rear. OH EMM EYE and HOMEBUSH SARGE jostled together for several strides going to the first corner and HOMEBUSH SARGE who was one of the favourites, lost three lengths and finished in 6th place. CHASIN CROWS began to drift off the back of the field on the first corner and he finished several lengths last, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with gracilus and tricep muscle pain.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	CAWBOURNE ELLEN was slow to begin losing three lengths. ELLAVA SCRAP was galloped on by WHAT A PEANUT on the first corner and fell and WHAT A PEANUT also lost ground in the incident. JAYVILLE FLYER, CAWBOURNE ELLEN and BIT OF VISION were also severely checked in the incident losing several lengths and all chance. ELLAVA SCRAP was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a stifle injury.
Race 7	GEON Wellington C2 - C2 - 305	CAWBOURNE TINA was the slowest to begin and was then checked losing four lengths when HOMEBUSH MELL shifted in on the first corner and CAWBOURNE TINA stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 8	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	One of the favourites RUSSELL HART was a little slow to begin and then raced wide on the first bend and continued to race out wide covering extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. Another of the favourites LOTTO RASPBERRY was checked on the first corner and again on the first bend losing ground on both ocassions and finished in 5th place.
Race 9	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305	URUTI STORM began on terms with the other runners but drifted off the back of the field from the first corner and finished several lengths last and he was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with shoulder and thigh pain.
Race 10	Couper Catering C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH NELSON shifted in soon after the start and caused jostling and checks to HOMEBUSH SARINA and SPEEDY LEESHELLE who both lost ground. IN OR OUT shifted in on the first corner and checked HOMEBUSH NELSON who lost four lengths. Soon after IN OR OUT shifted out and bumped with TERROR JIM and lost two lengths.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305	The favourite VINTAGE LACE was the slowest to begin but recovered quickly to be handy on the first corner. CAWBOURNE AVA then shifted in and checked VINTAGE LACE and REQUEST FUNDING and they lost three lengths. VINTAGE LACE recovered the best of the two and she finished in 2nd place with REQUEST FUNDING finishing in 4th place.
Race 12	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305	LOTTO FUN was handy to the first corner but eased and went quickly back to last losing several lengths and she finished in last place. After viewing DVD film of the race, the Trainer elected to admit that LOTTO FUN had breached the Rules and the dog was stood down for 28 days for failing to pursue the lure and is required to complete a satisfactory trial before its next start. WAIRERE MIRACLE raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished in 2nd last place.
