| Race 1 | ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C4 - 390 | WATERHOUSE was last to jump. HOMEBUSH REECE ran inwards soon after the start checking WHERES JOHN CEE who lost ground. HONKING HORNS wanted to get away from the inside in the early stages losing his place. MOST HAUNTED faltered on the bend and dropped right out with a post race veterinary check revealing a fractured hock with the dog being euthanised on humane grounds. |
| Race 2 | BRENDON BURKE @ SOUTHERNWIDE - C3 - 390 | GOSS SAGE ran inwards soon after the jump checking the favourite DAUNTING and SLIGHTLY AMAZING who both lost ground. ACHEW ACHEW checked outwards off GOSS SAGE on the turn and ran outwards checking both SLIGHTLY AMAZING and DAUNTING who both lost more ground. |
| Race 3 | 100% SELECTRIX - C2 - 390 | In a tightly compact group heading to the bend HONOUR appeared to be dragged down by another runner causing REAL SLIM SHADY and HOMEBUSH EDITH to be checked and TEDDY NOVA to lose ground. A post race veterinary check of HONOUR revealed a swollen gracilis muscle with a 21 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 4 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C1 - 390 | FOGGY STORM was checked soon after the jump and dropped to the rear. SHEZA COOL ONE crossed in front of runners soon after with NERD CORNER and BLACK OZARK being tightened and losing ground. NERD CORNER and SHEZA COOL ONE came together into the bend and lost ground. On the turn BLACK OZARK checked off the back of SECRET ICE and dropped to the rear. There was no head on view available for this event. |
| Race 5 | $25 YARD MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 390 | ICEBERG RAPPER was last to jump. RISING MERCURY was tightened along the inside into the bend and dropped to the rear where she remained. |
| Race 6 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390 | HIT THE LIP was last to leave the traps. GONE AWOL and HIT THE LIP came together into the bend while soon after MAXIMUM JEWEL ran outwards and checked both of these runners. They filled the last three placings. |
| Race 7 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457 | SECRET VENUS was last to jump. SHADOW FEET ducked outwards soon after the jump checking HOMEBUSH LACEY for a stride. SHADOW WOLF ran wide on the home turn losing ground. |
| Race 8 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C1 - 457 | OPAWA JOHNNY and OPAWA JACK were the slowest to jump. HOMEBUSH IRIS came together with KUNG FU TEDDY for a stride in the back straight and lost ground. |
| Race 9 | GO THE ALL BLACKS - C1/2 - 457 | KNOW FUN angled inwards in the back straight and lost ground when coming together with OH OTIS. |
| Race 10 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C3/4 - 457 | MORNING WATCH ran inwards badly checking HAMPDEN JACK and HOMEBUSH FRASER soon after the jump with these runners losing ground. HAMPDEN JACK was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed no injury. MORNING WATCH was found to have a small wound on her toe requiring stitches with a seven day stand down recommended. |
| Race 11 | $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C5 - 457 | DYNA FRIER wanted to get to the outside and in doing so checked kennelmate RINGOS COLT. This runner then clipped the rear of DYNA FRIER turning him sideways as he continued his outwards movement on to BADJA BALE as that runner was running inwards. DYNA FRIER dropped to the rear after this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. Handler Craig Roberts that he would have DYNA FRIER thoroughly checked before his next race start and report any findings to Stewards. |
