Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305	GROOVY SHANE, REQUEST FUNDING and INIGO JONES were slow to begin losing two lengths. INIGO JONES made up some ground to finish in 5th place with the other two staying back to finish at the rear after coming together going into the bend. JOLOKIA appeared to be walking short following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with acute pain in a pectoral muscle.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	NIGEL THE LEGIN, THRILLING HALO and OKAYS DE BRITTO were slow to begin losing three lengths. OKAYS DE BRITTO drifted off the back of the field and finished the race several lengths last and while her recent form had been poor, she was examined by the Vet as a precaution and stood down for 14 days with acute pain in a calf muscle.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 305	LANSVALE SPARK was slow to begin losing three lengths but he then secured a clear rails run on the bend and finished well for 4th place. TALEEDY TROOPER shifted on the first corner and checked AMBLE UP who lost four lengths. Soon after, HOMEBUSH ALEX shifted out and checked the favourite TALEEDY TROOPER who lost ground and all chance of a first four placing.
Race 4	Morrie Gibbons Signs C2 - C2 - 520	PRETTY SECRET and HOMEBUSH WARRIOR were chec ked and lost ground on the first corner. PRETTY SECRET went off stride soon after and dropped out to finish a long last. HOMEBUSH WARRIOR began to drift going to the back straight and he finished several lengths behind the 3rd last runner and both dogs were ordered to undergo Vet examinations and HOMEBUSH WARRIOR was stood down for 14 days with a pectoral muscle injury and a spike wound. PRETTY SECRET was found to have suffered a long head triceps muscle injury with a 21 day stand down recommended
Race 5	Mickey's Super Liquor C3 - C3 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LEE , MISTER WHISKER and DONT KNOW were a little slow to begin. SEDGEBROOK LEE made up ground well to finish in 2nd place while the favourite DONT KNOW was making up ground but ran very wide into the straight over extra ground and then finished well for 4th place. RENNERS GIFT galloped on the heels of MISTER WHISKER on the first corner and they both lost ground and finished in the rear group.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305	MISS GIGI had a front foot through the bars on the box when the start was made and as a result she began awkwardly losing three lengths. The box lids were checked and found to be in normal order and the only conclusion reached was that MISS GIGI has very narrow paws which enabled her to get one through the bars on an angle. MISS GIGI made contact with the hind quarters of THRILLING JOSH on the first corner causing a check to that runner and he lost two lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. KELBY HAKA pulled up to the lure in a distressed state and was taken to the Vet and was found to have suffered a fractured distal metacarpal 2nd left front leg with a 42 day stand down recommended
Race 7	Couper Catering C4 - C4 - 305	BOMBER MAN was slow to begin losing three lengths and he then checked off the heels of BOTANY BARB on the bend losing further ground. UPAHUT CRYSTAL shifted out approaching the straight entrance and pushed SOUTHERN EIGHTY over extra ground.
Race 8	Media Works C2 Final - C2f - 520	HOMEBUSH DIP shifted in from the start and checked JOE BANNER and BOTANY ADAM who both lost ground. RAMESSEE shifted in going into the first corner and checked HOMEBUSH DIP and MY BAD JONNY with HOMEBUSH DIP suffering the most and he lost three lengths.
Race 9	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd R/A - R/A - 305	The favourite PLANKING jumped well enough from the boxes but was checked back to last soon after when HOMEBUSH JEM shifted in and forced PLANKING onto CHELSEAS BEAUTY and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	SNOW TRAIL shifted in from the start and checked SEPTEMBER BLUE, REGAL DANCER and THREE INCH NAIL with REGAL DANCER and SEPTEMBER BLUE suffering the most and they went back to near the rear.
Race 11	Broad Roofing Services C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	CAWBOURNE JOSE led to the first corner and then shifted in checking the favourite BOUND BY PRIDE who lost three lengths but he recovered well to make up ground and win the race.
Race 12	Wanganui Security C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	ROYAL PARDON shifted out from the start and collided with SEDGEBROOK ELITE who lost ground. DONNA BAXTER checked off the heels of SCOTT NO FUNDING on the first corner and dropped back causing checks to ROYAL PARDON and SEDGEBROOK ELITE who both lost ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
