| Race 1 | ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C1 - 390 | FOGGY STORM, SPIRAL EBONY and COOL LUCK were all slow to jump. SHEZA COOL ONE was tightened into the bend losing some ground but finished well in the straight for second. |
| Race 2 | 20 YEARS GREYHOUND RACING AT ASCOT - C0 - 390 | ICEBERG RAPPER was last to leave the traps. FERAL FOX stumbled for a stride after fifty metres as pressure from the outside tightened inside runners. Soon after NERD CORNER ran inwards checking FERAL FOX as ICEBERG RAPPER was attempting to run outwards when improving along the rail. FERAL FOX ran wide after this check and pushed HAMPDEN PRIDE wider around the bend. HAMPDEN PRIDE was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed no injury. |
| Race 3 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390 | SENSITIVE LAND ran outwards soon after the jump and lost ground settling at the rear. At the end of the back straight TUI HOTLIPS ran inwards contacting THRILLING HALLE and BLACK JAY who both lost ground. The runner up RED TIGER was observed to be limping after the race with a post race veterinary check revealing slight cramp with no stand down deemed necessary. Richard Breen the Trainer of the winner TUI HOTLIPS was questioned in regards to the improved performance of this bitch. He informed Stewards that this was her first start for him and she had recovered from an injury for today's run. She also had a weight decrease for today's run that had been planned. BLACK JAY was found to have split webbing following the race with a 21 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 4 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C2 - 390 | MORE MODEL the favourite wanted to get to the outside soon after the jump and this together with pressure from the outside placed BOMBAY TRAM in very tight quarters with this dog falling. He regained his paws quickly with a post race veterinary check revealing some neck pain with a five day stand down recommended. Into the bend JOHNNIE GEORGE ran inwards tightening kennelmate BRASSED OFF with this runner losing a couple of lengths. SLIGHTLY AMAZING ran very wide on the home turn losing ground but once balanced finished strongly to win. |
| Race 5 | BRENDON BURKE @ SOUTHERNWIDE - C3 - 390 | LA PYTHON and REDDY BOY received some tightening and dropped to the rear as CAWBOURNE HARVEY crossed them into the bend. |
| Race 6 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C4 - 390 | WHERES JOHN CEE and BRUNO were the last to jump. GENISTA OUTLAW ran outwards and SWIP TASTIC ran inwards in the early stages with WHERES JOHN CEE and BLACK MERCEDES being tightened and losing ground as a result. Into the bend GENISTA OUTLAW got on the back of DONT FORGET JET and fell with SWIP TASTIC being badly checked in behind. Soon after WHERES JOHN CEE was tightened by BLACK MERCEDES and also fell. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on GENISTA OUTLAW, WHERES JOHN CEE and SWIP TASTIC. GENISTA OUTLAW and WHERES JOHN CEE were both found to have grazes and given five day stand downs. Following the race DONT FORGET JET was also the subject of a veterinary check which showed soreness to the deltoid muscle on extension of the shoulder with a 5 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 7 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C0 - 457 | SHADOW WOLF ran outwards soon after the jump pushing SECRET VENUS and OKUKU WEE MAN wider over the early stages. Towards the end of the back straight OLD OZARK also ran wide making contact with HAMPDEN SPIRIT and AUSSIE HAKA for a few strides. OLD OZARK and SHADOW WOLF remained wide on the track on the home turn losing ground. |

| Race 9 | 100% SELECTRIX - C1 - 457 | OPAWA JACK was last to jump. WATERVIEW LASS was tightened into the bend and lost ground. This runner also received a check on the home turn and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 10 | Graduation Final - NZRSf - 457 | This race was delayed by two minutes due to an Australian race running late. FEARSOME MCKAY and ANOTHER BREEZE came together in the run down the back straight. |
| Race 11 | $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | GENISTA LIGHTNIN and GUTTER BLACK were slowest to jump. SHAKEY BAKE ran outwards in the back straight and contacted SWEET APPEAL for a stride. Into the bend GUTTER BLACK checked off the back of BLACK SHELLEEN when at the rear. |
