Judicial report: Following race 8 it was reported to the Stewards that the lure wire rope had frayed at the join and was a matter of concern. On inspection it was clear that due to the damage to the wire, there was a major risk in continueing the meeting with the rope in that condition and the Stewards requested that a replacement wire be installed.. As a result the meeting was put back three races while the changeover was made and the meeting then proceeded without further problems.

Race 1	Awapuni Stakes C0 - C0 - 457	HARRY HALL, CHEMICALLY FREE and PRINCE PARADE were all slow to begin. JUST ANYTHING was checked on the first corner losing three lengths. HARRY HALL, PRINCE PARADE and REGAL STEP collided on the bend and lost ground and they finished in the last three places.
Race 2	GEON Wellington C0 - C0 - 375	BELLA SIENNA shifted in from the start and inconvenienced LISSADELL JASPER and BREAKING MELODY who both lost a little ground. BELFAST KING made contact with the hind quarters of BELLA SIENNA for several strides going into the bend and BELLA SIENNA was checked and dropped back to eventually finish in last place and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with a spike wound. When clear BELFAST KING made up ground to finish in 2nd place.
Race 3	Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375	DIRECT RESPONSE shifted in from the start and checked HOMEBUSH JODIE who lost ground and settled at the rear but she recovered well to finishj in 2nd place. RHYME IN MELODY led to the first corner but shifted out causing checks to DIRECT RESPONSE and JOLOKIA who suffered the most and she finished in last place. DIRECT RESPONSE was checked again a few strides later and lost two lengths but finished quite well for 4th place. LISSADELL REBEL was checked on the bend losing two lengths. DIRECT RESPONSE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with toe injuries which required suturing.
Race 4	Peter Sinclair Photos C1 - C1 - 375	LISSADELL TOBY was slow to begin and he then collided with HOMEBUSH BERNIE on the first corner and both lost a little ground. BILLY HAKA shifted in and bumped BELFAST NODDIE at the start and BELFAST NODDIE lost a little ground but quickly recovered to go on and win the race. NUTS FOR SURE shifted out on the first corner and was contacted from behind by HAPPY CLAPPY with both dogs losing ground.
Race 5	Shannon Stakes C1 - C1 - 457	The favourite COOKED THE BOOK was inconvenienced soon after the start when CONOR MACHALL shifted out and COOKED THE BOOK then galloped on the heels of KUROHARA going to the first corner losinng further ground but recovered to finish very well for 2nd place. KUROHARA lost ground in the incident and went back causing a check to HOMEBUSH MELL with both dogs losing ground and they finished in the last two places.
Race 6	SPARKY'S BAR AND RESTAURANT C2 - C2 - 375	WHERE'S WALLY shifted out from the start and pushed SLATERS MATE and HOMEBUSH TAYLOR out wide. WHERES WALLY continued to shift out and again checked HOMEBUSH TAYLOR who lost several lengths but she did make up ground to finish in 5th place.
Race 7	MARTON DASH C3 - C3 - 375	THRILLING JOSH was slow to begin losing several lengths and he stayed back throughout to finish in last place. PLANKING and CAWBOURNE MO brushed together for several strides on the bend and then collided on the home turn and they finished in the rear group.
Race 8	FIELDING STAKES C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	I'M READY shifted out from the start and bumped CAUGHT THE EYE. RYBENBROOK FLASH shifted in going to the first corner and crowded SANTA SLOY, CAUGHT THE EYE, I'M READY and BANDANNA PETE who all lost ground with I'M READY being the most affected and he lost four lengths. RYBENBROOK FLASH suffered from abrasions to a hind leg and was stood down for 4 days. Following this race, it was reported to the Stewards that the lure rope was damaged and on inspection, it was clear that a replacement rope needed to be installed and this resulted in the meeting being put back three races. Race 9	FOXTON DASH C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	MINDARIVA was slow to begin losing three lengths but finished the race very strongly to win. CAWBOURNE DUDE was handy going into the bend but was checked and he went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 10	WWW.RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ C4 - C4 - 375	KERRYS DELIGHT shifted in from the start and checked TWENTY SIXTY who lost ground and went back to the rear and he finished in 2nd last place.
Race 11	HOKOWHITU DASH C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	LOOKS DECIEVING and FLAG WAVER were checked on the first corner and dropped back onto NIP TUCK, THRILLING GRIZZ and THRILLING ALI and they all lost ground. NIP TUCK recovered the best of those affected and she finished very well for 3rd placing with the other runners finishing in the last four places.
Race 12	PAHIATUA STAKES C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	KILMAINHAM CHILL and NIGEL THE LEGIN were slow to begin losing three lengths. OKAY'S DE BRITTO and MUSTARD KEEN were midfield on the first corner but were checked going back to the rear. SHODSIE and KILMAINHAN CHILL collided on the home turn and KILMAINHAM CHILL was pushed wide and lost ground.
