Judicial report: The box lids opened prior to the lure moving from its start position and the Greyhounds ran a circuit of the track and as a result, the race was abandoned. The lure had been tested by the Track staff and the Stewards and numerous Trials had been conducted from the boxes prior to the race without any sign of problems. However, it was discovered following the abandonment that the trip switch had malfunctioned and it was replaced and the meeting proceeded without further problems.
SHEESA MEESHA, JUST MAC and ELLAS ANGEL all completed satisfactory trials which were required under the provisions of Rule 81.

Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR C0 - C0 - 305	The box lids opened prior to the lure moving and the Greyhounds ran a circuit of the track which resulted in the race being abandoned. ( Refer to the Judicial Notes )
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 305	INTENSE ZOOM was slow to begin losing three lengths. She then made up ground but was wide on the bend and then collided with HOMEBUSH SUE approaching the home straight losing further ground and finished in 2nd last place. HOMEBUSH SUE shifted in from the start and checked AGENT VICTOR and MARJI MAYCEE who both lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 3	GUTHRIE BOWRON C0 - C0 - 520	REGAL STEP jumped in from the start and checked HOT POOTIE who lost ground and settled near the rear. HOMEBUSH LACEY was slow to begin and was in last place with a ciircuit to run but made up ground for 4th placing.
Race 4	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD C0 - C0 - 305	LEOS GIRL shifted in from the start and checked HOMEBUSH SIENNA who settled at the rear. CAWBOURNE MILLY and SYD PHOENIX collided soon after the start and SYD PHOENIX fell and he was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with thigh muscle pain. LEOS GIRL shifted in on the first corner and checked CAWBOURNE MILLY who lost two lengths.
Race 5	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH SARGE was observed to be limping on the way to the start and he was examined by the Vet and declared a late scratching. On being examined again later in the day, the Vet could find nothing amiss with HOMEBUSH SARGE and no stand down was ordered but the connections were requested to advise the Stewards if any abnormalities become apparent following the meeting. BELFAST NODDIE and BOND ECLIPSE were slow to begin but recovered to finish in 1st and 3rd places. TRICKY PAULA and VINTAGE LACE led to the first corner but bumped together and both lost a little ground. VINTAGE LACE and CAWBOURNE SMUDGE collided on home turn and they both lost ground.
Race 6	BROAD ROOFING C2 - C2 - 305	SLATERS MATE, IN OR OUT and HOMEBUSH TAYLOR were all slow to begin and they stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 7	MEDIA WORKS C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	All clear.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305	DIRECT RESPONSE, CAWBOURNE ELLEN and BIT OF VISION jostled together for a few strides going to the first corner and CAWBOURNE ELLEN and BIT OF VISION both lost ground. CHASIN CROWS lost ground on the first corner when racing in restricted room adjacent to the rail.
Race 9	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR C1 - C1 - 305	ELLAVA SCRAP and ANOTHER WISH bumped together soon after the start and settled at the rear. ANOTHER WISH recovered to finish in 3rd place but ELLAVA SCRAP stayed back and finished last.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C1 FINAL - C1f - 520	THRILLING HALO checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH DIP going to the first corner and soon after COOKED THE BOOK and DOUBLE TAPP also checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH DIP and lost ground. HOMEBUSH DIP dropped back when galloped on and MISS SNOW ANGEL checked to avoid that runner and ran wide into the bend covering extra ground. HOMEBUSH DIP never recovered and finshed in last place.
Race 11	COUPER CATERING C1 - C1 - 305	SHODSIE and HOMEBUSH JODIE bumped together at the start and SHODSIE suffered the most and settled at the rear. SHODSIE then made contact with the hind quarters of HOMEBUSH JODIE on the first corner turning that dog sideways and they both lost several lengths and finished at the rear.
Race 12	WANGANUI SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	LOTTO FUN was handy in 2nd position going to the first corner but shifted out slightly and was struck from behind by LISSADELL TOBY and checked and she lost several lengths and finished in last place. LISSADELL TOBY also lost three lengths and all chance of a first four placing in the incident
