Judicial report: STONES RIVER completed a satisfactory trial under the provisions of Rule 81. Handler David Waites was issued with a first and final warning in relation to the requirments of the Rules regarding the strapping of Greyhounds and the importance of complying with instructions given by the Kennel Stewards.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305	SHODSIE began awkwardly losing a little ground and settled back in the field. He then shifted out across the heels of IMA ROYAL on the first corner losing further ground and then a few strides short of the winning post, he was again checked when improving into a gap inside IMA ROYAL and this may have affected his chance of a closer placing than 4th. SHODSIE made contact with the rail in the incident and was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 520	NIGEL THE LEGIN and SHARKIES DREAM were both slow to begin and they stayed back in the field throughout to finiish in the rear group. PARRA SPARRA was also a little slow to begin and then raced wide over extra ground on the first bend, drifted back to last and stayed in that position until the finish.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LEE went up with the box lids losing five lengths but he made up ground well to finish in 5th place. SEDGEBROOK LEE and ALAMEIN FATS collided in the approach to the home straight and ALAMEIN FATS went back to last and finished in that position. IMPERATIVE appeared to be sore following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with wrist pain.
Race 4	Morrie Gibbons Signs C2 - C2 - 520	DANS CONQUEST stumbled in its initial stride out of the boxes and settled towards the rear but recovered to win well. UPAHUT CINDY was galloped on RAMESSEE on the first corner and she went back to last and stayed there to the finish .She appeared sore following the race, was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury MY BAD JONNY led on the final bend but was checked losing ground when DANS CONQUEST moved through on the inside.
Race 5	Mickey's Super Liquor C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	RENNERS GIFT, DOING THE TIME and SLATERS MATE bumped together when the start was made and SLATERS MATE lost three lengths and settled at the rear but made up ground to finish in 6th place.
Race 6	Palamountains Nitrition C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	GREYWINDS KOBY was slow to begin losing two lengths. PRETTY SECRET was checked going to the first corner and again starting on the first bend and she drifted off the back of the field and eventually finished several lengths last. She was examined by the Vet and found to be suffering from wrist pain with a 14 day stand down imposed.
Race 7	Couper Catering C3 - C3 - 305	BOMBER MAN was tiightened between runners soon after the start and went back to last but recovered to make up ground for 3rd placing. LITTLE BLACKSPOT shifted away from the rail going into the first corner and caused checks to HOMEBUSH DUSTY and GROOVY BANDIT and they went back to the rear and finished in the rear group.
Race 8	Happy 44th Birthday Darryn Hopewell C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	The favourite BIG GIFT and IMA SPICE were slow to begin losing two lengths. BIG GIFT then secured a clear rails run to finish well for 2nd place but IMA SPICE who started from box 7 was forced to race wide covering extra ground on the bend and he finished in 2nd last place.
Race 9	Media Works C3 - C3 - 305	LOW AND HIGHS and MISS GIGI collided when jumping from the boxes and both lost ground with LOW AND HIGHS being the most affected and she lost four lengths and stayed back to finish near the rear. MISS GIGI and MISTER WHISKER came together and bumped on the bend with both dogs losing ground. CAWBOURNE DARCY led from the start until the first corner but then drifted back through the field and finished in last place. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a hock injury.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	All clear.
Race 11	Broad Roofing Services C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	SEDGEBROOK ELITE and ANOTHER DRIZZLE were very slow to begin losing four lengths. CAWBOURNE JOSE shifted in on the first corner and checked BOTANY ANGELA who went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 12	Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305	SOUTHERN EIGHTY was checked back to last soon after the start but recovered well to finish in 3rd place. ERIC PHOENIX, KEACHYS MATE, PRINCESS SNOWY and FLAG WAVER were all checked on the first corner losing ground. ERIC PHOENIX recovered best of them finish in 2nd place with the other three finiishing at the rear. ERIC PHOENIX suffered a wrist injjury and was stood down for 14 days.
