| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305 | This race started two minutes late at the request of the TAB. PENIES FROM faltered and went off stride in the run to the first corner and she then drifted back to finish several lengths last. PENIES FROM was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. MISS FOLEY shifted out on the first corner forcing the favourite BIG EFFORT to race wide on the bend and as a result both dogs lost ground. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 520 | The favourite COOKED THE BOOK was a little slow to begin but made up ground to be handy on the first bend . ELLAS ANGEL shifted in approaching the back straight and checked COOKED THE BOOK who lost four lengths and all chance of a first four placing. RED RULES, GLENADDIS BOY and DOUBLE TAPP were all checked on the first corner and they went back to the rear. ELLAS ANGEL was observed to turn her head out towards PARRA SPARRA on the home turn and then proceeded to race to the line to finish in 2nd place. PARRA SPARRA was knocked off stride in the incident but did run on to finish in 3rd place. The Trainers representative for ELLES ANGEL elected to forgo a Vets examination and the dog was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b and is required to complete a satisfactory trial before racing again. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 305 | The favourite RENNERS GIFT was handy going into the bend but he and AMBLE UP were checked losing three lengths. RENNERS GIFT was checked again approaching the home turn and then clipped the heels of AMBLE UP after crossing the line and fell. RENNERS GIFT was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 4 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C2 - C2 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK LEE was very slow to begin losing four lengths and he stayed at the rear throughout. |
| Race 5 | Mickey's Super Liquor C2 - C2 - 520 | KILMAINHAM CHILL was slow to begin losing three lengths and he then ran wide covering extra ground on the first bend and stayed well back in the field and finished in last place. |
| Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305 | MISS TYRA and RED TERROR collided soon after the start and RED TERROR lost ground and settled at the rear and he stayed back throughout the race to finish in last place. CAWBOURNE DARCY shifted in from the start and crowded CAWBOURNE MO, CYNTHIA BAXTER, MISS TYRA and CRAZY BABY who all lost ground and they finished in the rear group. |
| Race 7 | Gary Ross Decorator C3 - C3 - 305 | GINA MAC and LOW AND HIGHS were crowded from the outside when the start was made due to runners drawn further out shifting in and LOW AND HIGHS was the most affected in the incident. BOMBER MAN shifted in on the first corner and checked THRILLING LYRIC who lost four lengths and she finished in last place. |
| Race 8 | Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | The three most favoured runners THREE INCH NAIL, BIRCHGROVE BILLY and I,M READY were all slow to begin and I,M READY and BIRCHGROVE BILLY then bumped together twice in the run to the first bend and settled at the rear and finished in the 2nd half of the field. THREE INCH NAIL recovered to win the race. SUMMER SPICE drifted from mid field on the final bend to finish several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a tricep muscle injury. BIRCHGROVE BILLY suffered from toe lacerations and was stood down for 10 days. |
| Race 9 | Media Works C4 - C4 - 305 | UPAHUT STAR shifted in sharply frrom the start and caused checks to PRINCESS SNOWY, ROYAL PARDON, MISS GIGI, LARA PINTER and OPAWA MISSY and they all lost ground in the incident. OPAWA MISSY and ROYAL PARDON recovered the best of those affected and they finished in 2nd and 3rd places. OPAWA MISSY suffered a metacarpal injury and was stood down for 21 days. |
| Race 10 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C5 - C5 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK ELITE was slow to begin losing three lengths.. SEMENYA and BEARLY NORMAL collided soon after the start and a few strides further on they again came together and jostled for several strides losing and went back to near the rear. SEDGEBROOK ELITE and BEARLY NORMAL collided on the first corner and lost ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear. BEARLY NORMAL suffered toe lacerations and was stood down for 10 days. |

| Race 12 | Wanganui Security C5 - C5 - 305 | FIRE HAWK shifted across quickly from the start and dictated the line of MIRAGE who then had to move out to the outside of FIRE HAWK. FLYING FLYNN galloped on the heels of STATELY BABE on the bend and both dogs lost ground and they finished at the rear. |
