Race 1 | Forbury First4 Sprint - C2 - 310 | LILETTE BALE was slow to jump. LILETTE BALE and FLAT BATTERY then raced wide into the bend losing ground. On the home turn EMERGE lost ground when racing in tight quarters with REAL SLIM SHADY being held up in behind. |
Race 2 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C2 - 545 | MIGHTY PROPHET was last to jump. The favourite CASLEY ran outwards in the run to the first bend tightening TEDDY NOVA and REAL FIRE POWER on his outside. CASLEY continued to run outwards on the bend and checked an improving MIGHTY PROPHET who lost ground. WAVE YA HAND checked off the back of KNOW FUN into the bend losing ground while shortly after KNOW FUN and TEDDY NOVA came together along the rail. |
Race 3 | Happy Birthday Jo Hill Sprint - C2 - 310 | A combination of FULLA PRIDE running outwards and SOSAN moving inwards ensured that FIERY FLOWER and KUNG FU TEDDY were both tightened losing ground. Soon after these two runners came together when at the rear. |
Race 4 | Green Island Barber Sprint - C3 - 310 | This race was delayed by three minutes at the request of Raceday Control. AKAISHA BALE was last to jump. HOMEBUSH TIME and SPEEDY LEESHELLE were both slightly tightened as ROMBERG LASS crossed to the rail. DOGGER BANK checked itself as it ran inwards on the home bend making contact with BLUESKY WONDER who also lost a length at this stage. |
Race 5 | Keyosk Service Bar Sprint - C3 - 545 | KNOW PERIL ran outwards at the jump with SHAKEY BAKE, AKON STAR, HOMEBUSH WILD and QUETEE JEWEL all receiving tightening as a result and losing ground. |
Race 6 | Otago Trotting Owners Sprint - C4 - 310 | BIGTIME FORCE jumped inwards on to FLIP THE DICE with BIGTIME FORCE losing many lengths. Favourite FLIP THE DICE dragged down the pacemaking BONUS BOND into ther bend and lost ground. BONUS BOND dropped to the rear after this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. John McInerney the trainer of the winner CAWBOURNE JOSE was questioned in regards to the dogs improved performance. He stated that a freshen up and change of environment had improved the dog. |
Race 7 | St Kilda Vet Centre Sprint - C5 - 310 | WICHITA LINEMAN and BLACK PAN were last to jump. |
Race 8 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C4/5 - 545 | DEVOTCHKA was last to jump. The favourite FIFTH EDITION was tightened into the first bend and dropped to the rear. He did well to make ground for fourth. On the home turn an improving KATE LEIGH and KNOW TRUTH came together with KNOW TRUTH losing momentum. Following the race the winner KNOW SPUNK was found to have a cut hind foot webbing requires sutures with a seven day stand down recommended. A proposed swab on the winner KNOW SPUNK was abandoned due to the treatment of this injury. |
Race 9 | A F Johnston Electrical Sprint - C5 - 310 | JACKPOT JACKIE stumbled soon after the jump losing four lengths. CAWBOURNE LORNA checked off the back of WHERES ROBYN when racing in tight quarters into the bend and lost her chance. |
Race 10 | Roofing Solutions Sprint - C4 - 310 | WATERHOUSE was last to jump. She was then tightened and brushed the rail when attempting to improve and dropped back to the rear. On the bend OKUKU BOMBER ran outwards leaving ANOTHER LEGIN with no room inside of WHERES JOHN CEE with ANOTHER LEGIN falling as a result. ANOTHER LEGIN regained his feet and completed the race with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
Race 11 | Racing Again Next Tuesday Dash - C5 - 310 | OBSESSED was tightened from both sides in the early stages and then forced wide as CREPE MYRTLE ran outwards into the bend. OBSESSED then checked off heels on the home turn losing ground and finishing well back. |
