Judicial report: Prior to the start of Race 6, it was reported to the Steward in Charge that there was some concern expressed by Trainers waiting at the start point about some holes that had appeared on the bend in front of the 645 boxes. After the Assistant Steward, who was at the start point was consulted, it was decided to groom the track again and after the Curator had lowered the tynes on the grooming machine slightly, the holes were eliminated and the races proceeded smoothly to the conclusion of the meeting. However, due to the time required to groom the track effectively, the meeting was put back one race for the remainder of the programme.

Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR C0 - C0 - 305	LISSADELL JASPER shifted in from the start and checked CLUAIN MEALA who lost two lengths. LISSADELL JASPER ran very wide into the straight covering extra ground and finished in last place. BELLA SIENNA was knocked over at the lure and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with tricep and trapezius muscle injuries.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 520	SASSAFRAS and HOMEBUSH IRIS collided soon after the start and settled at the rear. SASSAFRAS then ran wide over extra ground on the first corner and they stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 3	GUTHRIE BOWRON C0 - C0 - 305	All clear.
Race 4	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD C0 - C0 - 305	INTENSE ZOOM was very slow to begin losing several lengths and she stayed back throughout to finish in last place. KIWI PHOENIX was also slow away and she lost three lengths. The eventual winner BELFAST NODDIE shifted out on the first corner and bumped ANOTHER LADY who lost two lengths in the incident.
Race 5	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS C1 HEAT 1 - C1q - 305 Heat 1	RENNERS GIFT shifted in from the start and checked ANOTHER BLEND, HOTWAX and ANOTHER HIT who all lost ground. HOMEBUSH SARGE shifted in on the first corner and checked ANOTHER HIT who lost five lengths and she went back to last and stayed there to the finish. HOTWAX was also slightly affected in this incident.
Race 6	PALAMOUNTAINS NUTRITION C0D - C0d - 645	The meeting was put back one race for the remainder of the meeting when the track required additional grooming due to some holes developing on the final bend. CRYSTAL BANNER was slow to begin losing three lengths. SOPHISTICATED and BIRCHGROVE BILLY bumped together going into the bend past the winning post with a circuit to run and BIRCHGROVE BILLY lost a little ground but recovered to go on and win the race. SOPHISTICATED raced handy until 200 metres to run but then tired badly and finished several lengths last.
Race 7	MICKEYS SUPERLIQUOR C1 HEAT 2 - C1q - 305 Heat 2	HOMEBUSH TAYLOR and CHASIN CROWS bumped together soon after the start and lost a little ground. WHERES WALLY shifted out soon after the start and checked WHERES SLOY who lost ground and went back to last. NELLY FLAHERTY checked off the heels of GLENADDIS on the first corner and lost two lengths.
Race 8	KEENAN CONCRETE C1 - C1 - 520	All clear
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY C1 HEAT 3 - C1q - 305 Heat 3	The favourite PADDO SCORE was the slowest to begin and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. HOMEBUSH BERNIE was checked on the first corner and went back onto LEVERAGE who lost four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 10	COUPER CATERING C1 HEAT 4 - C1q - 305 Heat 4	HOMEBUSH BATMAN checked off the heels of the leader GINA MAC on the bend and lost a length. HEZA ROCKET MAN checked over the heels of SHOWTIME ADDIS on the home turn when racing at the rear and he lost ground in the incident.
Race 11	BROAD ROOFING C1 HEAT 5 - C1q - 305 Heat 5	IN OR OUT shifted out on the bend and forced CAWBOURNE SMUDGE to race wide into the straight.
Race 12	MEDIA WORKS C1 HEAT 6 - C1q - 305 Heat 6	TODD shifted out and checked over the heels of NUTS FOR SURE on the first corner and went back onto KATIE HAKA and they both lost five lengths and finished at the rear.
