Stipendiary Stewards Report

Palmerston North Greyhound Racing Club

Manawatu Raceway ON MONDAY 01 Aug 2011

Weather: Cloudy
Track: Good The Technician responsible for maintaining the scales was required to adjust the mechanism to allow the dogs weights to settle and read quicker to improve the flow through the kennels at kenneling time and this was carried out at the end of the days racing. There has been a slight problem with the speed at which the sprint box lids opened as the lure passed by and this did result in some races being manually started at the last meeting. The Curators did make some adjustments prior to todays races and while the situation was improved, the track electrician is to renew some wiring and a switch prior to the next meeting to rectify the problem completely.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Under the minor infringement table, J.T.McInerney the Trainer of HOMEBUSH JODIE was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when the dog was 1.9 kilograms over its last start weight on 06.07.11.
