Seeking a New Member-Nominated Director

The New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association, also known as Greyhound Racing New Zealand (GRNZ), is the governing body for all Greyhound Racing in New Zealand, as authorised by the Racing Act 2003. GRNZ leads a small but dynamic Code working within the Racing Industry to improve the overall commercial viability of Racing for all stakeholders. This is an interesting and challenging role in an industry that is a significant contributor to the New Zealand economy.

GRNZ now seeks an applicant for the position of Member-Nominated Director and the term of appointment is for three years.

Applicants should be skilled in one or more of the following areas:

Business and financial management
Racing in particular Greyhound Racing exposure
Governance and board exposure/experience, and 
Project management.

An interest or background in greyhound racing is desirable, an understanding of how sporting bodies or membership organisations work, and an understanding of the relationship between member clubs, other stakeholders and a governing body, such as GRNZ, would be a distinct advantage.
