Track: Good The track was in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly apart from the fire in the transformer incident just prior to Race 7.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Due to an electrical fire in a transformer, Race 7 runners were taken back to the kennels while the fault was located and repaired and the meeting proceeded one race behind the scheduled start times. CHOICE LASS completed a satisfactory trial which was required under Rule 38.9. EYE FAR also completed a satisfactory trial under Rule 38.9.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1 - C1 - 305	FLYING DEWY (3) - was slow away from the start and settled back. Was crowded from outside soon after and inconvenienced. CAWBOURNE CHEZZY (5) - crowded from outside after the start and got back. Referred to the Vet at the Trainers request and stood down for 10 days with spike wound on right hind. AWESOME QUALITY (6) - crowded after the start and inconvenienced. Hampered going to first turn and lost momentum and stayed back. BIGTIME LUNA (7) - shifted in from the start and hampered inside runners. Shifted out into first turn and inconvenienced other runners briefly.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE FINAL C1 - C1f - 520	BIGTIME TANK (3) - shifted out into the first bend and crowded another runner which was briefly hampered. HERE'S HEMI (4) - was the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. Raced very wide into first bend and stayed back to finish last. BIGTIME ROCCO (5) - tightened between runners into the first bend and lost momentum. Recovered to go on and win the race.
Race 3	AON CPF C2 - C2 - 305	BIGTIME BEE (3) - shifted out going to first turn and hampered another runner. Raced wide on the bend and down the home straight over extra ground. WATCH YOUR BACK (4) - slow away from the start and stayed back throughout. SPOT ON HEARTY (6) - raced wide over extra ground and stayed back to finish last.
Race 4	PALMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1/C2 - C1/2 - 520	CAWBOURNE ZAYNE (3) - one of the slowest to begin and drifted off the back but then made up some ground over the concluding stages. GUNNAR BLUEBLOOD (5) - slow away from the start and settled back but ran on well to finish in 2nd place.
Race 5	J P PRINT C4 - C4 - 305	OPAWA LYON (3) - was slow away from the start and settled back but ran on well for 4th place. BIGTIME LUCY (4) - was checked from behind on the bend and lost momentum and drifted to finish last. Fell awkwardly at the lure and was referred to the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a fracture to the right hind foot. BIGTIME SPARK (5) - was awkwardly placed after the start and got back and stayed there.
Race 6	WANGANUI TOYOTA DISTANCE C1/C2 - C1/2d - 645	IRIS ALLEN (2) - was bumped going into the first turn and went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder. DYNA WESLYN (6) - ran a little wide into the first turn. CAWBOURNE TAYLOR (8) - also ran a little wide into first turn.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	INDY'S BOY (1) - slow to begin losing two lengths. SLY JOHN (3) - checked going into the bend and went back to the rear and stayed well back. GO SLICK (5) - crowded after the start and settled back. Bumped and lost ground on the bend. Checked and fell after the line and was referred to the Vet and HOMEBUSH FLUTEY (7) - shifted in from the start and tightened inside runners which were hampered. SCOTTA PIE (10/6) - tightened and checked after the start
Race 8	THE ROCK 92.2 FM FINAL C2 - C2f - 520	IDOL ALAN (2) - was one of the slowest to begin and settled back but ran home well for 3rd place. KAMADA PARK (5) - settled back and then raced wide into the first bend and stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 9	FIRST SECURITY C2 - C2 - 305	BIGTIME HUNTER (2) - slow away from the start and settled back. BIGTIME ON TRACK (3) - was tightened between runners after the start and got back where she stayed for the remainder. GAZZA'S GIRL (5) - bumped and unbalanced after the start and got back. Crowded into the bend and was inconvenienced losing momentum but made up ground for 3rd place. RENEGADE COMET (7) - shifted in going into the bend and crowded an inside runner for a short distance.
Race 10	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3 - C3 - 520	IDOL TOM (3) - faltered going into the back straight and drifted and finished a distance last. Was referred to the Vet and euthanised due to a fractured hock. DYNA VERNON (4) - Hampered going to the first turn and lost momentum briefly. BIGTIME TALKER (7) - inconvenienced when the start was made and settled back and raced wide on the first bend. BIGTIME MACI (8) - shifted in after the start and hampered another runner.
Race 11	LASER PLUMBING C2/C3 - C2/3 - 305	BIGTIME BRONX (4) - checked off heels into the bend. Checked over heels on the bend and shifted out into contact with another runner and was unbalanced IT'S COMPLICATED (7) - bumped when the start was made and momentarily inconvenienced. BIGTIME ROLL (8) - shifted in from te start and bumped another runner. RUNNING FREER (9/3) - very slow to begin losing three lengths. In contact and forced wide into the bend over extra ground.
Race 12	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C2/C3 - C2/3 - 305	ANOTHER FLAG (1) - was awkwardly positioned between runners approaching the home straight and was checked losing ground. BIGTIME HONEY (3) - tightened after the start and inconvenienced for a short distance. UNO AGAIN (4) - crowded after the start and got back but made up ground for 5th place. BIGTIME STEVE (5) - was crowded after the start and lost momentum and stayed back. HIP HOP RAPPER (7) - shifted in from the start and crowded inside runners. Was in tight quarters approaching the home straight and was inconvenienced losing momentum and stayed back to finished 2nd last.
