Race 1	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390	BAZINGA KIMBA and ZULU MERCEDES were slow to jump. From the jump HOMEBUSH ZANE ran inwards checking SMASH STYLE. On the turn ZULU MERCEDES ran wide and lost all chance.
Race 2	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C0 - 390	ZULU CHANEL was a late scratching at kennelling after being found to be suffering an abcess on its hind right toe with a 2 day stand down imposed. DA LAST CHOOK and MISTY AS bumped racing into the bend.
Race 3	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C1 - 390	GLENN IS GOODESY was slow to jump. YALDHURST EDWARD was forced wider on the track by CAWBOURNE CRUZE which was dictated outwards by NO BRO. NO BRO ran wide on the bend. CAWBOURNE CRUZE raced in restricted room prior to the home straight then was checked and fell when GLENN IS GOODESY shifted ground outwards. CAWBOURNE CRUZE was inspected by the veterinarian and no abnormalities were detected.
Race 4	ADDED ENERGY SPRINT - C1 - 390	BOTANY RICHARD shifted inwards sharply at the start bumping CAWBOURNE CHIEF which in turn made contact with CAWBOURNE BUTTSY. THRILLING HENRY shifted inwards over the early stages checking MILLIE'S BOY on its inside. THRILLING HENRY compounded over the final stages. The Stewards requested a veterinary examination of THRILLING HENRY which revealed THRILLING HENRY was dehydrated with resulting cramp. THRILLING HENRY was subsequently stood down for 7 days.
Race 5	ORETI BEACH SPRINT - C3/4 - 390	OPAWA IDOL began awkwardly and was slow away as a result. MY MATE SPARROW and JOHN DORY bumped on several occasions rounding the bend. IN the home straight JOHN DORY struck the hind quarters of ISABELLE DOMAIN with both these runners losing their momentum.
Race 6	ASCOT PARK HOTEL SPRINT - C3 - 390	From the jump HOMEBUSH HAVEN ran inwards checking GENIA HAKA. Into the turn LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE shifted ground outwards making contact with WHITEY'S GONE and tightening the trailing BOTANY PETE.
Race 7	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C0 - 457	Into the turn HOMEBUSH BOUNCE checked outwards off the heels of LOTS OF BEERSIES with the trailing SUSAN JEWEL being pushed wide on the track.
Race 8	WELCOME TO SPRING - C1/2 - 390	TURBO TUNDRA was slow to jump. STARBURST BENNY was tightened on the inside of SMASH AMY approaching the bend.
Race 9	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1/2 - 457	CAWBOURNE STEVE and OPAWA STYLE both made contact at the jump with CAWBOURNE STEVE becoming unbalanced. CHLOE'S PRODIGY and OPAWA SHAIDEN bumped over the early stages. BOTANY BLAKE ran wide rounding the bend after shifting off the heels of CHLOE'S PRODIGY. OPAWA LACHLAN shifted outwards on the bend with OPAWA OPAL checking off its heels.
Race 10	RACING AGAIN 30th SEPTEMBER - C3/4 - 457	Into the turn CAWBOURNE WITCH shifted ground inwards and checked GRUNT RODGERS. On the turn THRILLING BERT and THUMB PRINT TONY bumped with both dogs losing momentum. Under Rule 80.7 the trainer of OPAWA TOM, J Fahey, made application for the cancellation of the endorsement under Rule 80 after the dog had successfully competed in ten races without further offence. Stewards approved the application. Following the race THRILLING BERT was subject to a veterinary check which revealed the dog to have a laceration on his left front foot with a four day stand down recommended.
Race 11	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C5 - 457	At the jump OPAWA CASPER and ANDRE bumped with both dogs losing momentum. In the run to the turn OPAWA CASPER shifted ground downwards and checked CULVIE MAGIC. On the turn CRACKING CHAIN and FINN MCMISSILE made heavy contact with both dogs becoming unbalanced. As a result FINN MCMISSILE collided with ANDREA with that dog stumbling. A post race veterinary examination of FINN MCMISSILE revealed the dog had suffered soft tissue swelling to the left tricep and pain in both triceps with a 14 day stand down recommended.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C5 - 390	Racing into the first bend LITTLE MIDNIGHT shifted inwards crowding STING ME on its inner. OPAWA COLIN ran wide rounding the bend. Authorisation of all placings was with held until the Stewards had reviewed the start and confirmed that STING ME had not been denied a fair start. Following the race the Stewards requested a veterinary examination of STING ME which revealed some swelling and a minor abrasion above the right eye with no stand down recommended.
