Auckland Greyhound Racing Club

Long standing Club with purpose built, stand alone venue.  The first Club in New Zealand to install a sand/loam racing surface.  Hosts a number of the Code's flagship races including Auckland Cup, the time honoured Duke of Edinburgh Silver Collar and the high profile winner-takes-all New Zealand Shootout.

Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club

The largest Club in the country, the Christchurch Club's base (shared with Harness Racing) at Addington Raceway is an excellent facility for participants and enthusiasts alike and plays host of a number of the Code's glamour events such as the New Zealand Cup, the New Zealand Oaks, the Kingston Cup and the sport's new profile race, the Topgun.  It is often said that it takes a 'strong dog' to win at Addington.

Southland Greyhound Racing Club

Situated at Ascot Park, the only tri-code (all three racing codes) venue in New Zealand, the Southland Club has also recently converted its racing its racing surface from grass to loam. 

Wanganui Greyhound Racing Club

Hatrick Raceway in Wanganui has recently been the 'pulse' of greyhound racing in the Central Districts region, hosting in excess of 100 race meetings each season. A tight circuit combined with a fast racing surface contribute to all-action race viewing, both on course and via Trackside. The Clubs hosts such significant events as the New Zealand Breeders Stakes, the Wanganui Distance and the Spion Rose.

Greyhounds as Pets

Greyhounds As Pets is an independent charitable trust established by Greyhound Racing New Zealand to find caring homes for greyhounds leaving the racing industry. With over 2000 completed adoptions, the GAP team are committed to matching you with a greyhound that is perfect for your family's circumstances.

Greyhounds Australasia

Greyhounds Australasia (GA) comprises representatives from jurisdictional controlling bodies in Australian States and Territories, and New Zealand (the GA Directors).

Kiwikiwi Hounds Adoption

Here at Kiwikiwi Hounds, our mission is to help retired racing Greyhounds find loving pet homes at the end of their racing career and to actively promote Greyhounds as wonderful family pets. Working alongside other rehoming agencies, we strive to individually match each dog with a suitable family. We will offer support and guidance for however long is needed after the initial adoption.

May Hounds

May Hounds Charitable Trust is an independent non-profit trust specialising in transitioning greyhounds from race dog to family pet primarily through a foster care system. We hope to make a small difference to the many racing greyhounds who retire each year.

Nightrave Greyhound Adoption

Nightrave is a nation-wide adoption agency for greyhounds who have retired from racing. Nightrave aim to match families and individuals with a greyhound that will suit their individual needs as pet owners to ensure each greyhound finds the perfect home. Nightrave also provide further training for specific greyhounds that may need some extra attention on their journey to becoming a pet.

Racing Integrity Board

The Racing Integrity Board promotes and ensures compliance with high standards of integrity, animal welfare and professionalism by people in the racing industry.  The Racing Integrity Board’s core functions are:

  • Compliance and enforcement with racing rules and regulations
  • Prohibited substances testing for animals and people
  • Raceday veterinary services and monitoring racing code animal welfare policies and initiatives
  • Adjudicative services


Many of these functions were previously provided by the Racing Integrity Unit and the Judicial Control Authority for Racing which were disestablished on 30 June 2021.
