Judicial report: Trainers S Clark and M Smith both received first and final warnings in regards to the late kennelling of their later dogs.

| Race 1 | Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C3 - 375 | ART DECO was last to jump. VIBURNUM was forced wide around the bend losing ground. The favourite ENOUGH IS ENOUGH got on heels on the bend and lost momentum but ran on well in the straight for a close fourth. Trainer Scott Payne was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner ROTOVEGAS GIRL. He stated that a recent downgrade helped the dogs chances and that she preferred the Cambridge track. |
| Race 2 | Presland Tocker Insurance Maiden Distance Series - C0d - 650 | ELEPHUNK was checked as she attempted to run outwards into the first bend and lost ground. BINGO STARR ran wide throughout covering extra ground and wilting in the home straight. Following the race ZITA GRACE was found to have a strained right hip support muscle with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |
| Race 3 | 0800 4Down Cow Stakes - C1 - 457 | BUTTONY BOY was last to jump. He made ground well for second. The favourite JUSTIFY A SITE received a slight check in the back straight as he attempted to get to the outside and was held up for a few strides in the run home. He made ground late for fifth. Handler Brendan Cole stated that he was reasonably happy with the run given that the dog didn't begin as well as usual. He also thought that the dog would benefit from its first look at this track. |
| Race 4 | Clubhouse Sports Bar Sprint - C1 - 375 | The favourite CAPTAIN COUTTS proved hard to box and the handler was unable to get his tail completely into the box. The starter gave permission for her to hold the lid slightly ajar in order for the dog's tail not to be jammed. CAPTAIN COUTTS only began fairly when the start was effected. Starter D Henwood was reminded that Rule 72.9.b states that the doors of the boxes be securely fastened and advised that in future he must ensure that all of the dog's body including the tail must be inside the box prior to the all clear being signalled to the lure driver. CAPTAIN COUTTS will be boxed first in the near future as a result of this incident. MISS FOLEY and DELICHON URBCA came together for a stride into the bend while MORE PORK received a slight check on the bend while attempting to get to the outside. MORE PORK was found to have a broken/torn nail after the race with a ten day stand down recommended. |
| Race 5 | John Lamont Bobcat Hire Services Sprint - C2 - 375 | DOLLY SCRAMBLE was the last to jump. After a good beginning BACK AT YA ran very wide around the bend and lost ground. The winner OLLIE FONZ also took a wide course around the home bend but when balanced ran away to win. There was no head on view of this race. |
| Race 6 | Arch Lawrence Distance - C1d - 650 | SIPPIN TEQUILA and THRILLING SIREN were tightened into the first bend and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 7 | Mitre10 Mega Cambridge Sprint - C4 - 375 | CAWBOURNE STARS was last to jump. The favourite RYDENBROOK FLICK and CAWBOURNE STARS came together soon after the jump settling well back. CAWBOURNE STARS ran outwards on the home turn checking WINSOME ACHIEVER and RYDENBROOK FLICK who both lost ground. |

| Race 9 | Waikato Cup - INV - 457 | HAVE A YAP and NONNA'S GIRL came together in the back straight. NONNA'S GIRL ran outwards on the home turn and made firm contact with an improving LITTLE MOTHER with both runners losing ground. The stewards ascertained from the replay that marring had not occurred with a post race veterinary check of NONNA'S GIRL revealing pain and bruising on left hind toes. It was reported that a toe band had come off NONNA'S GIRL during the race which may have accounted for the injury and may also have contributed to the outwards running of this bitch. |
| Race 10 | Group 1 NZ Derby Final - R/Af - 457 | OUR BEOWULF was last to jump. PRETTY GOOD ran outwards in the back straight checking THRILLING BRAT who dropped to the rear. THRILLING BRAT then was forced very wide on the home turn. Following the race THRILLING SIGHT was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed no injury. |
| Race 11 | T McDonald Cup Group 2 Final - C2df - 747 | The favourite SWIFT FANTASY dropped to the rear and was still last at the end of the back straight. She was pushed wide when improving on the home turn and ran on well for third. Trainer Steve Clark stated that he was satisfied with the run. THRILLING APRIL was checked on the home turn as SWIFT FANTASY crossed her on the home turn. |
| Race 12 | Greene Bros Stakes - C2/3 - 457 | BROTHER RABBIT ran inwards soon after the jump checking FANCY MILLY and favourite THREE INCH NAIL. Shortly after this ICHI NI ran inwards checking BROTHER RABBIT while THREE INCH NAIL ran outwards. THREE INCH NAIL was held up approaching the home turn but when clear made up ground well for a closing fourth. |
