Judicial report: The Stewards were concerned with the track condition after three races and requested the Curator to revert to using the grooming machine which has been used over recent meetings. After further discussion with Club Management, this was carried out and the meeting proceeded smoothly from there to the finish.

Race 1	Anglo Upholsterers Ltd C4 - C4 - 305	LITTLE BLACKSPOT was handy enough going to the first corner but was checked losing five lengths when HOMEBUSH JAG shifted in and he never recovered and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 2	Commercial Plumbing - Auckland C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH BERRY was checked on the first corner and dropped back onto ANOTHER DRIZZLE who also lost ground.
Race 3	Bakery Stop - Silverstream C2 - C2 - 305	One of the favourites CATCH A DREAM was slow to begin losing three lengths and she then ran wide over extra ground on the bend and finished in 5th place.
Race 4	Westview Aluminium - Upper Hutt C1 - C1 - 520	NIGEL THE LEGIN went up with the box lids and lost three lengths. WALTZING FIREFLY was unable to keep up with the early pace and dropped back to be several lengths last but she did make up ground and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 5	B & P Engineering - Upper Hutt C1 - C1 - 305	TONY'S PEDRO was away well from the start to be in 2nd place on the first corner but then ran very wide on the bend and into the straight and faded to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 6	Thorntons Auctions - Penrose C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	JAYDEN'S COURAGE began well to be near the lead around the first bend but began to drift down the back straight and dropped out to finish four lengths last. It was observed that the dogs recent racing had been over sprint distances and fitness may have been the reason for the poor run.
Race 7	Charltons Bar - Silverstream C2 - C2 - 305	STIFF began a little awkwardly but quickly recovered. DOING THE TIME ran in from the start and checked PEEKABOO POPPY who went back to last. HOMEBUSH JODIE moved out from the rail running to the first corner making contact with ONE WILD THING and became unbalanced and continued to shift out causing checks to ONE WILD THING who fell and DOING THE TIME who was forced out towards the outside fence losing all chance. PEEKABOO POPPY and HOMEBUSH DIGBY were also affected and lost ground in the incident. ONE WILD THING was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with bruising.
Race 8	The Brownzy sports Bar - North Shore C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	KERRY'S DELIGHT and THRILLING CAIRO bumped together on the first bend and lost a little ground. NIP TUCK was handy going into the final bend but ran very wide losing ground and she finished in 2nd last place.
Race 9	Gold Band Finance C3 - C3 - 305	AWESOME VINTAGE and HOMEBUSH JUST jostled for a few strides on the first corner and HOMEBUSH JUST dropped back causing a check to ROTKARA LUCY with both dogs losing ground and they stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 10	Opawa Racing - "Wellington Cup" Final C5 - C5f - 520	One of the favourites OLYMPIC ACE was a little slow to begin from box 8 and was then forced to run widest of all over extra ground throughout the race and finished in last place.
Race 11	Wellington Championship Sprint Final C5 - C5f - 305	SCOTT NO FUNDING moved in racing to the first corner and caused tightening and checks to CAWBOURNE JADE, ADDIS JAY, CAWBOURNE MO, OPAWA MISSY and OPAWA MEGASTAR with this runner makinng firm contact with the rail. OPAWA MEGASTAR was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with bruising, abrasions and minor cuts.
Race 12	Glovecraft Ltd C5 - C5 - 305	One of the better supported runners GOT THE JUICE was slow to begin losing three lengths but he did make up some ground to finish in 6th place.
