Track: Dead The lure failed in Race 12 when caught by the entire field. The cause of the failure in a similar place as to the other recent lure failure is being investigated.

Race 1	Advance Pet Nutrition Sprint - C3 - 295	Into the bend POCKETS FULL checked off the heels of HAILSTONE HARLY. Soon after BIGTIME FORCE checked off CAWBOURNE HAPPY coming back on OHOKA DUKE and SIX PLEASE.
Race 2	Challenge Opawa All Up Dash - C4 - 295	SMALL HAND was tightened into the bend losing ground. TAIGA was checked soon after coming back on POWER SAW, HE'S SO FINE who fell and GROOVE ARMADA. HE'S SO FINE was the subject of a veterinary check which revealed no injury.
Race 3	Barron's Supplies Sprint - C3 - 295	OPAWA MEGASTAR crossed AINT THAT COOL into the bend resulting in AINT THAT COOL striking the rail and losing ground. Into the home straight CAWBOURNE SCAREY struck the hindquarters of PURA LADY, both losing ground.
Race 4	www.containersdirect.co.nz Feature - SPECA - 520	Into the first bend ALLEGRINI moved down towards the rail tightening GUNNA SMOKE, SABRE DANCE and DUDLEY RAMA. GUNNA SMOKE finished a long last with a veterinary check revealing left hip pain with a 21 day stand down recommended.
Race 5	Kolorful Kanvas Distance Feature - C0d - 645	CROSSFIRE MAX was slow to jump but improved quickly before running outwards and colliding with OPAWA SECRET and CAWBOURNE SNEAKY with OPAWA SECRET losing his footing. WAVE YA HAND was forced wide as a result. OPAWA SECRET struck the lure heavily at the pull up and fell. He was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss.
Race 6	Speight's Six Pack - C5 - 520	SPLENDID TYCOON was slow to jump. KNOW QUESTION and KNOW SPIRIT were tightened into the first bend losing ground.
Race 7	David Emerson Consultancy Feature - SPECA - 520	SEA ADMIRAL, WARRIOR WIKI and BEEJAY'S MATE came together with BEEJAY'S MATE drifting towards the rear. Soon after MIXED GRILL checked out of the heels of OPAWA PADLESS. Into the back straight BOTANY HORNET was checked when vying for the lead, checkoing outwards and coming in contact with MIXED GRILL. At the end of the back straight HAYLEY'S ACE was tightened by an improving MIXED GRILL. BEEJAY'S MATE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed fractured metacarpals and a split web to the right fore with a 28 day stand down recommended.
Race 8	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C4 - 295	Both CHLOE BEAR and SAINT DANIEL were slow to jump. PAREORA DOLL and LITTLE MARVEL came together into the home straight.
Race 9	2010 Bill's Bar & Bistro Canterbury Futurity Final - R/Af - 520	PRETTY GIRL was tightened soon after the jump. Into the first bend OPAWA COLLAR was checked when tightened by MISS IDOL as she moved down towards the rail.
Race 10	Super Pets Stakes - C3/4 - 520	CAWBOURNE BOLT jumped awkwardly from the boxes to settle last. Into the first bend FIFTH EDITION checked out of the heels of HEAR NO EVIL checked GET OUT THERE and SMASH KINGDOM with SMASH McCOY and PATTY'S GIRL being forced wide.
Race 11	Celtic Arms Tavern Dash - C5 - 295	Approaching the home straight CURVE BALL checked out of the heels of LINCOLN BRAND colliding with LIAM BALE with both losing all chance.
Race 12	Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C5 - 295	Into the bend the field caught the lure. As the dogs had run approximately 150 metres consideration was given to re running the race. AZURE OSTI, KNOW LOVE and GENISTA DREAMA fell when they caught the lure. Following veterinary examinations, most trainers were reluctant to compete in the re run, so the race was abandoned by Stewards in accordance with Rule 76.6. KATIE MAC was subject to a veterinary examination which revealed a right fore dew claw laceration with a 7 day stand down recommended. The cause of the lure failure, the second in a similar position on the track, in recent weeks is being investigated in consultation with the Club Electrician.
