Weather: FineTrack: Good Prior to the meeting a checked was made of the starting mechanism on the 310m boxes following the abandoned race at the previous meeting. The mechanism which held the lid in place had been replaced and the box operated correctly.
Scales: Correct at 30kg.

Judicial report: Cawbourne Lorna (JT McInerney) successfully completed a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with Rule 80.5.

Race 2 | Paws Inn Boarding Kennel Sprint - C1 - 310 | In the run to the turn GIMME A THRILL crossed over and forced MULBERRY KING into the path of MUNGO with both dogs losing ground. GIMME A THRILL also lost momentum and tailed off to finish at the rear. |

On the first turn BARBER'S GIRL faltered and pulled up. BARBER'S GIRL was subject to a veterinary check which revealed an injury to the right front triceps muscle with a 14 day stand down recommended. |

Race 6 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C2 - 310 | CAWBOURNE WILKO was slow to jump and never recovered to finish at the rear. |
Race 7 | NZ Masters Games Stakes - C2 - 545 | LOU BALE was slow to jump and never recovered to finish well back. Into the first turn CAWBOURNE BULLET came into contact with GENISTA SUMMER with a resultant check to GENISTA DIAMOND who went backwards and lost all chances. |
Race 8 | John & Carollyn Mills Sprint - C3 - 310 | In the run to the turn BONUS BOND ran inwards and struck the running rail, losing all chances to finish well back in the field. BONUS BOND was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. |
Race 9 | Brocklebank Dry Cleaners Sprint - C4 - 310 | Into the turn ROTKARA LUCY, CAWBOURNE CART, WILD ST.TEDDY and LITTLE MARVEL came together with a resultant check to BOTANY ANN who ran outwards and forced MISSYS DAUGHTER and KNOW DESIRE very wide on the turn. Into the back straight WILD ST.TEDDY collided with BOTANY ANN with both dogs losing all chances to finish well back. |
Race 10 | A.F. Johnston Electrical Far South Challenge Final - Group 2 - C5f - 545 | In the run to the first turn SMASH KINGDOM, DELUSIONIST and ROCKABYE LAD came together. Then into the back straight DELUSIONIST andROCKABYE LAD collided with both dogs tailing off to finish towards the rear. |
Race 11 | Power Farming Otago Sprint - C5 - 310 | Into the turn LES BAXTER crossed over and tightened SUNSET BOMBER who stumbled and went back on top of a trailing ANOTHER BAXTER and NITRO PEGGY. SUNSET BOMBER finished a long last and was subject to a veterinary check which showed nothing amiss. |
Race 12 | Southern Sports Bar & Grill Stakes - C2/3 - 545 | MOA HUNTER and SELF INFLICTED were slow to jump. Shortly after the jump MOA HUNTER shortened stride, stumbled and fell finishing a distant last and taking no competitive part in the race. Into the first turn GENISTA BELLE was tightened and severely checked, falling and losing all chances to finish just in front of MOA HUNTER. As GENISTA BELLE fell she checked the running of KNOCK 'EM DOWN and SELF INFLICTED. Both MOA HUNTER and GENISTA BELLE were subject to veterinary checks which revealed no immediate injury. |
Race 13 | Dunedin Festival Stakes - C4/5 - 545 | KNOW QUESTION ran very wide in the run to the first turn, then when leading into the home straight again ran out wide losing ground to finish 2nd. FIFTH EDITION also ran out on the first turn and lost ground to finish towards the rear. |
Race 14 | Otago Daily Times Sprint - C4 - 310 | From the jump VALKYRIE ran outwards and struck the rear of ROCKA HULA before becoming disoriented and tailing off at the rear. A post race veterinary check showed the dog had a sore right hip with a seven day stand down recommended. |
Race 15 | Racing Again 4th March Dash - C5 - 310 | From the jump WATUSI ASSASSIN ran outrwards and checked the running of HOMEBUSH REECE and MISS BRUGGE. |
