Race 2 | JOHN LAMONT DASH - C3 - 375 | LAURETANA BOY was tightened into the bend and angled outwards causing checks to CYCLONE HOOLEY, STREET TALL and FIND PEDRO with FIND PEDRO falling. He completed the course with a post race veterinary check revealing a bruised shoulder with a seven day stand down recommended. CAWBOURNE CROWN (Freeman/Turnwald) right hock injury. Race 3 | VEHICLE SERVICES DASH - C4 - 375 | LEUMEAH MISS was handy early but was pushed wide into the bend and then came together REWIRED soon after. These two dogs filled the last two placings. |
Race 4 | WAIKATO SANNDBLASTING STAKES - C3/4 - 457 | WINSOME CRUISER received a check wide out on the track at the end of the back straight and dropped away. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. Into the bend CAWBOURNE WILKO ran outwards tightening SHE'S TOO COOL who fell. EDDY'S GOAL also received a check in this incident. A post race veterinary check of SHE'S TOO COOL revealed no injury. There was no head on available for this race. NIGHT ALERT (SL Ross) recovering from diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 5 | JAMES' CAMBRIDGE TAB STAKES - C2 - 457 | Favourite WATMOUGH ran outwards in the back straight when looking for racing room and tightened VALUE PACK with THRILLING ALERT getting badly checked as a result. WATMOUGH ran on well to dead heat for second. |
Race 6 | TERRESSA MCDONALD CUP - C2d - 747 | Favourite VARVATOS was hampered as GIRL LEG attempted to get to the rail in the run to the first bend with VARVATOS losing ground. He ran on for fifth late in the race. CYBER BLUE (J&D Fahey) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty. |

Race 10 | ARCH LAWRENCE WAIKATO CUP - INV - 457 | MCCRACKEN was keen to get off the rail and in doing so tightened SHIFTY DOONS and LIGHT WESTERLY who both lost ground. |
