Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer SC Mann was questioned in regards to the catching of BIGTIME RETRO at last week's meeting. He stated that the dog's muzzle had got caught in the side of his mouth and that he was keen to retreive the dog as soon as possible. His explanation was accepted on this occasion but he was reminded of his obligations at the lure.
Trainer SL Ross received a warning in regards the lack of a catcher in Race 7 after her explanation of events was received.

Race 3 | TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT - C5 - 318 | WINSOME LIGHT came together with CLASSIC BEN soon after the jump with CLASSIC BEN going down on his nose for a stride and also checking BIG PA on his inner. CLASSIC BEN dropped to the rear. On the bend BIG PA checked off the heels of STATELY CONQUEST and came back on to SWINGING ZORRO who lost ground. |
Race 4 | THERESA TAYLOR TRIBUTE - C3/4 - 318 | ROYAL ESCORT crossed to the rails from an outside box crowding runners on her inner with THRILLING POWER hitting the running rail. THRILLING POWER made ground again for third with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. Into the bend LAURETANA BOY was tightened when vying for the lead and dropped back through the field checking RIALTO MISSION in the process. LAURETANA BOY finished last with a post race veterinary check revealing an injured metatarsal with a ten day stand down recommended. LAURETANA BOY (K Sutch-Jones) injured metatarsal. Race 5 | $40,000 PICK6 - C1/2 - 318 | PARK RED was last to jump. COMICAL ALI ran outwards into the bend pushing PARK RED wider. BLACK BOOK (SC Mann) deltoid muscle injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 26 September 2008. |
Race 6 | WATERLOO CUP FINAL - C5f - 527 | WINSOME UNO was tightened into the first bend and pushed TEE SHIRT on to the running rail who in turn ran outwards taking the line of SUPREME BASH who crashed into the outside rail. SUPREME BASH regained his feet and completed the race. Post race veterinary checks of TEE SHIRT and SUPREME BASH revealed a nail injury and grazes to SUPREME BASH with a seven day stand down recommended and an accessory carpal ligament sprain to TEE SHIRT with a seven day stand down recommended. BIGTIME NEV and DREAM A WIN also came together soon after. DREAM A WIN was turned sideways in the first incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. A post race veterinary check of THRILLING TASHA revealed a cut dew claw with a ten day stand down recommended. MOHICAN HARRY (LJ Laagland) contusion to metacarpol. Dog presented.
