Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when BOTANY ROY weighed in at 32.9 kgs which was 1.2 kgs under his last race weight on 28 February 2008.
Trainers A Hart and K Taylor were fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when NITRO MARTA weighed in at 24.7 kgs which was 1.3 kgs under her last race weight on 28 February 2008.
Trainer Mrs G Farrell was reminded of her obligations in regards to the notification of a change of Trainer of ROYAL ESCORT a nomination for tonight's meeting.

| Race 3 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL AUCKLAND CUP CONSOLATION - C5 - 527 | DREAM TRIP ran inwards soon after the jump tightening ANOTHER LLOYD, KEROMA ASSASSIN and COOL GROOVY who all lost ground. Into the first turn ROMAN CASTLE ran out of room and took a spectacular fall checking YOUR TURN and COOL GROOVY. COOL GROOVY did well to get up for fourth. A post race veterinary check of ROMAN CASTLE revealed a bruised gluteal and hip with a seven day stand down recommended. ROMAN CASTLE (JT McInerney) gluteal and hip bruising after fall. | Race 4 | FIRST SOVEREIGN TRUST RAILWAY SPRINT CONSOLATION - C5 - 318 | ANNIES BRAT checked off the heels of ZENSU into the bend and lost a couple of lengths. He ran on well for fourth. |

| Race 6 | FIRST SOVEREIGN TRUST RAILWAY SPRINT - C5f - 318 | ANOTHER LAUREL was tightened into the bend losing ground. Shortly after this MY TOY BOY checked outwards when looking for a run losing a couple of lengths. Following the race FORCE OF REVENGE was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a cut medial tibia requiring sutures with a ten day stand down recommended. The race was convincingly won by ANOTHER GALE who notched up her 47th win in the process. PIZZA GIRL (JT McInerney) left triceps tear. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 20 days up to and including 23 March 2008. FORCE OF REVENGE (BRD Cole) cut medial tibia requiring sutures. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 15 March 2008. |
| Race 7 | CATCH RESTAURANT SPRINT - C4 - 318 | RIALTO GUN and SYDENHAM GREEN both faltered in the early stages of the race dropping away. Post race veterinary checks revealed a torn triceps muscle for RIALTO GUN with a fourteen day stand down recommended. Unfortunately SYDENHAM GREEN fractured a hock and was humanely euthanased. FORWARD SOLUTION was also subject to a post race veterinary check revealing a bruised gracilis with a five day stand down recommended. FORWARD SOLUTION (DW Mathews) bruised left gracilis. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 10 March 2008. RIALTO GUN (BDF Craik) torn left triceps. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 19 March 2008. SYDENHAM GREEN (SP Clark) fractured hock. Euthanased. |
| Race 8 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL AUCKLAND CUP - C5f - 527 | RED RUSH was tighened in the early rush for positions and lost ground settling last. He did very well to run third. YOURE MY LADY was tightened into the first bend and lost ground with FANTA CLAWS being badly checked in behind her. These two dogs lost their chances as a result. TURBINE BALE and PREMIERE STAR were pushed wide in this incident. The favourite WINSOME ASHLEY avoided this melee and scorched around to the lead and smash her track record that she set in the heats. |
| Race 9 | CAROL'S TAB STAKES - C2/3 - 527 | PAUL BAXTER and KING JACK came together on the first turn losing ground. NASSIRAY JEWEL dropped away at the end of the back straight to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed an achilles tendon strain with a fourteen day stand down recommended. REWIRED was second until the home turn but weakened badly to finish seventh. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. NASSIRAY JEWEL (AC Roberts) achilles tendon sprain. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 19 March 2008. |
