Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.1 when HOMEBUSH DUNCAN, a starter in Race 5 weighed in 1.1kgs under his last race start weight.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C3 - 295 Into the bend PAINT THE STARS moved off the rail and collided with I'M ON EDGE who moved out onto THRILLING FURY. I'M ON EDGE faded out to finished last and was subject to a post race vet examination which revealed a dislocated 1st toe of the right hind leg with a 20 day stand down recommended. I'M ON EDGE (AC Roberts) dislocated 1st toe to right hind leg. Rule 82.1. 20 days up to and including 11 March 2008.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP DASH - C4 - 295 Into the bend BLAZIN A TRAIL moved out with resultant checks to FREDERICK BAXTER, CRAFTY CARSON and CHILLI MITCH who filled the last three placings. SPARKLING WAVES and CRAFTY CARSON were subject to post race vet checks. Nothing was found amiss with SPARKLING WAVES but CRAFTY CARSON was found to have a luxated first joint of the second tow of the left hind leg with a 21 stand down reccommended. CRAFTY CARSON (GA Cleeve) luxated 2nd toe left hind leg. Rule 82.1. 21 daus up to 12 March 2008.
Race 3 SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C4 - 520 The favourite WINSOME JUNIOR was slow to leave the boxes but improved wide around the field and ran clear in the straight. At the end of the back straight SATAN'S PLOT came down on HOMEBUSH BRADLEY, both being checked, and forcing BILLY BAXTER and NASSIRAY JEWEL wide, they filled the last four placings. TOMMY LEE WHISKY (JT McInerney) bruising to inner right hind thigh. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 27 February 2008.
Race 4 BILL'S BAR AND BISTRO DISTANCE - C0d - 645 PAUL BAXTER clipped the heels of ELARA soon after the start losing ground. Into the back straight BETTYSUE BALE and PAUL BAXTER came together both losing momentum. ASAFA BALE (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 24 February 2008. CYBER QUEEN (LJ Waretini) left wrist flexor tendon tear. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 4 March 2008.
Race 5 MURRAY @ RE/MAX PH 03-371-5005 SPRINT - C5 - 295 All clear
Race 6 CELTIC ARMS TAVERN STAKES - C2 - 520 Out of the straight first time JOELSON checked off the heels of TOMAHAWK DOWN and lost ground. At the top of the home bend JOELSON got on the heels of TOMAHAWK DOWN for a second time and dropped back. Into the straight JOELSON dived down to the rail and took the line of HIGH FLYING TEDDY whoch checked wide on the track while FROSTY EQUATOR was squeezed on the fence. FROSTY EQUATOR was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a right hock sprain with a 14 day stand down recommended. RIVIERA CHIC (MM Grant) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 24 February 2008. FROSTY EQUATOR (A Joyce) right hock sprain. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 5 March 2008.
Race 7 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER STAKES - C4/5 - 520 Into the first bend SPACE HOPPER lost ground and ran wide on the track when squeezed between BEE ROCCA and ANOTHER LLOYD. Into the back straight ANOTHER LLOYD improving around the fields ran in on GROOVY AGAIN. As a result ROMAN HOME was left with nowhere to run and climbed on the back of GROOVY AGAIN with BEE ROCCA and SPACE HOPPER checked and forced wide on the track, these dogs losing all chance and filling the last four placings.
Race 8 PERRY FOUNDATION CANTERBURY FUTURITY - R/Af - 520 Soon after the jump DREAMY HAZE improved across the field causing AUSSIE OPAWA and COOL GROOVY to be checked. Soon after DREAMY HAZE came in as CRAFTY FLYNN improved on the inner causing a check to a AUSSIE OPAWA and COOL GROOVY. AUSSIE OPAWA settled last and never improved during the running.
Race 9 www.willywhatatstud.com STAKES - C2/3 - 520 Into the bend REPEAT OFFENDER checked out off HEZA LIL with checks to WHISKY'S LAD and LIMITED IMPACT who climbed on the back of REPEAT OFFENDER these dogs filling the last three placings. Into the back straight the leader HOMEBUSH BUBBLES ran wide and then angled back to the rail causing KAKAMA to check off her heels. BAXTER'S GENERAL (JT McInerney) scratched at Christchurch on 19 February 2008. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 24 February 2008.
Race 10 SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE DASH - C5 - 295 Into the bend ROSIE RETURN and KNOW SAY came together with KNOW SAY badly checked and dropping out to finish last. HOMEBUSH FITZY (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling with a temperature and diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 25 February 2008.
