Handler John Cleaver was given a first and final warning under Rule 71.2 when he was late in retrieving TEMPEST LASS for Race 3. This was his first offence under this Rule.
Handlers Mrs B. Craik and Mrs M Knight were each fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 71.2 when they were late retrieving THRILLING DANE and ANDREW THE BRAVE for Race 6. These dogs were retrieved when the other dogs were already in the parade area.
All trainers and handlers are reminded of their obligations under Rule 71.2. that it is their responsibility to be on time for presentation. Non compliance with this Rule can lead to possible withdrawal of the dog from the race.

Race 2 | JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS - C1 - 318 | CORUBA CREEK ran outwards into the bend tangling with HOMEBUSH MAC which lost ground. HOMEBUSH MAC also came in contact with THAT BLOKE shortly after and dropped away to finish last. |
Race 3 | NZ COMMUNITY TRUST STAKES - C2 - 527 | THRILLING ROCCO was checked as FANCY CHARM attempted to improve around it on the first bend. Both dogs finished midfield. THRILLING RIDDLE (K Walsh) was a late scratching at 9.25am on the morning of the races with diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 19 July 2007. |
Race 4 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) STAKES - C4/5 - 527 | DRILLING DAM was slow to jump settling last before running on for fourth. CLASS MATE was handy until the first bend when he dropped away to finish some way from the field. A post race veterinary check revealed a hip support muscle tear with a fourteen day stand down recommended. JUST WINSOME was also handy until the back straight when he too dropped away to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn gracilus with a thirty day stand down recommended. JOHNNY (BDF Craik) spike wound left hind webb. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 19 July 2007. JUST WINSOME (DD Schofield) torn left gracilus muscle. Rule 82.1. 30 days up to and including 13 August 2007. CLASS MATE (D Van Meeuwen) hip support muscle tear. Race 5 | $40,000 PICK 6 SPRINT - C1/2 - 318 | MISS MACSTEELE attempted to run outwards into the bend checking GHOST NUGGET and FLAT WHITE. All of these dogs finished midfield. |
Race 6 | COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DISTANCE - C0d - 603 | PAUL BAXTER was slow to jump and tightened for a few strides settling last. He made up some ground to pass a runner in the run home. |
Race 7 | RODEWALD HART & BROWN SPRINT - C5 - 318 | All clear. EXPRESS SOLDIER (SP Clark) scratched at Waikato and Districts GRC on 12 July 2007. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 18 July 2007. Race 8 | NEW ZEALAND SIRES PRODUCE STAKES FINAL - R/Af - 527 | KAIMAI BELLE was tightened into the first bend and fell with THAT GIRL being severely checked. Both dogs lost their chances with a post race veterinary check on KAIMAI BELLE revealing no injury. |
Race 9 | MEADOWSET GRAPHICS SPRINT - C3 - 318 | LILY LONGLEGS ran out on the bend checking the favourite BROTHER BADGER which lost its momentum wide on the track. They filled the last two placings. RICHFIELD REASON (BDF Craik) was a late scratching at kennelling with right fore sprained joints. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 24 July 2007. |
Race 10 | THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6 PAK STAKES - C1 - 527 | SATSUMA and THRILLING HELEN were both slow away running on for third and fourth respectively. TIGGER FOOT was tightened and checked into the first bend dropping out and remaining last from then on. |
