Judicial report: Weather: Fine / warm Race 1. Trainer, G.A.Cleeve admitted a breach of Rule 69.11 and was fined $100.00 (Second Offence) for presenting the greyhound 'To Casual' 1.5kg underweight from it's previous race start on 19.12.06.

Race 4. In Defence (D.D.Schofield) was observed shortly after entering the home straight to run inwards and make intentional contact with the head of Arrogant Shiraz. Subsequent to video replays of the incident and verbal submissions by Trainer D.D.Schofield, a charge of breaching Rule 80.1(a) was laid against In Defence and admitted by D.D. Schofield. The charge was upheld by the Adjudicating Steward. As this was this greyhound's second offence a mandatory penalty under Rule 80.1(a)(ii) was imposed which requires a 3 month suspension to and including 05.04.07 and a Satisfactory Trial to be completed under Rule 81 prior to nomination.

Race 4. Arrogant Shiraz (J & D Fahey) was observed approximately 50 mtrs from the finish to ease stride, hesitate, lose momentum and turn it's head outwards towards In Defence. Subsequent to video replays of the incident and verbal submissions by Trainer D.Fahey, a charge of breaching Rule 80.1(b) was laid against Arrogant Shiraz and admitted by D. Fahey. The charge was upheld by the Adjudicating Steward. As this was this greyhound's second offence a mandatory penalty under Rule 80.1(b) (ii) was imposed which requires a 3 month suspension to and including 05.04.07 and a Satisfactory Trial to be completed under Rule 81 prior to nomination.

Race 1	CAMBRIDGE GRAIN STAKES - C1 - 457	Romano Reason was slightly slow to begin. Selkcahs Legend moved outwards after 40 mtrs and severely checked itself, Thrilling Milly and Romano Reason. To Casual and Selkcahs came together for a stride in the home straight with both being checked slightly.
Race 2	ROSS TODD MOTORS SPRINT - C3/4 - 375	There was no side-on coverage of this race available from TAB Trackside. Thrilling Kelly, Thrilling Power, Miss MacSteele, Mr Miargi and Papamoa Lass came together momentarily after the start with all being inconvenienced slightly. Entering the first turn Thrilling Kelly, Mr Miargi and Miss MacSteele were checked. On the first turn Thrilling Power galloped on the heels of and severely checked Thrilling Kelly then moved outwards and severely checked Miss MacSteele.
Race 3	FAIRVIEW MOTORS LTD STAKES - C1/2 - 457	Cockny Code was the slowest to begin then made up ground strongly along the rail to win well. Thrilling Zoe ran inwards at the start and checked itself and Spring Bundy. Entering the first turn Remo Blaster moved off the rail slightly and inconvenienced Spring Bundy.
Race 4	0800 4DOWNCOW LTD - C3/4 - 457	There was no 'head on' of the start of this race available from TAB Trackside. On the first turn Augusta Allen was tightened and checked slightly. Shortly after entering the home straight In Defence ran inwards and made intentional contact with the head of Arrogant Shiraz. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury (refer Judicial) Approximately 50 mtrs from the finish Arrogant Shiraz , eased in stride, lost momentum, hesitated and turned it's head outwards towards In Defence. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury (refer Judicial). In Defence (D.D.Schofield). Suspended Rule 80.1(a)(ii) 3 months to and including 05.04.07 plus Satisfactory Trial prior to nomination. Arrogant Shiraz (J & D Fahey). Suspended Rule 80.1(b)(ii) 3 months to and including 05.04.07 plus Satisfactory Trial prior to nomination.
Race 5	SMART BARNS STAKES - C3 - 457	Hot Dickadee and Criteria were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn San Shin moved outwards and checked itself and Hot Dickadee.
Race 6	TE AWAMUTU SELF STORAGE MAIDEN - C0f - 457	Thrilling Sunny and Marty Hall were the slowest to begin. General tightening after 20 mtrs resulted in severe checks to all runners except Fancy Trick (winner) and Tee Shirt (2nd). Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Cupla Schillings, Thrilling Sunny, Thrilling Daisy and Chile Maid.
Race 7	INNOVATIVE HOMES LTD WAIKATO CLASSIC FINAL - R/Af - 457	Big Tease and Winsome Blitz were standing upright as boxes lid opened and were slow to begin. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Leshita, Big Tease, Winsome Blitz and Dream On Cyrus. Winsome Daisy changed ground outwards on the bend and lost 2 lengths in the process.
Race 8	FOND FOODS DASH - C5 - 375	There was no side-on coverage of this race available from TAB Trackside. Gentle Lee, Thrilling Ollie and Rothvale Reason came together at the start with all being checked to varying degrees. Gentle Lee and Thrilling Ollie raced wide around the bend and on the home turn.
Race 9	LIQUORLAND CAMBRIDGE STAKES - C5 - 457	Thrilling Match was the slowest to begin. Kakama and Dynamic Keroma came together at the start with both being checked slightly. Entering the first turn Mo Mistress endeavoured to move off the rail and caused tightening and severe checks to itself, Cheeky Bonnie, Kakama and Dynamic Keroma.
Race 10	EASTSIDE TAVERN & TAB STAKES - C5 - 457	Thrilling Buzz, Thrilling Hugo and Scotexcited were the slowest to begin. Nearing the first turn Thrilling Hugo and Scotexcited came together for a stride with both being checked. Nearing the first turn Thrilling Buzz and Bronx Appeal jostled for several strides with both being severely checked. Victory Chant raced wide around the home turn and in the home straight.
