Judicial report: Weather: Overcast / showery Trainer, S.P.Clark was reminded under Rule 88.1(q) in relation to presenting registration papers for endorsement at today's meeting for the greyhounds Bailed Out and Andwyn which were scratched from the Waikato GRC meeting on 29.12.06.

Following Race 2 authorized Handler, J.McInerney Jnr expressed concern to Stewards regarding the track surface and what he considered to be a minor problem with the back door metal frames on the 527 mtr boxes which had caused Kobble Up's toe to become caught momentarily when being boxed for Race 2. His concerns about the track surface were that it was causing pad injuries.
Mr McInerney was invited to convey his concerns / suggestions directly to the Track Maintenance Manager and a meeting was arranged for after Race 3 and included the Stewards.
The Track Maintenance Manager has undertaken to convey the suggestions made, to the AGRC management.

Race 1	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD DASH - C4 - 318	Mr Miargi and Rock It Hound were the slowest to begin. Time Over Boots and Gunna Flex came together at the start with both being checked slightly. After 45 mtrs Charlston Chill ran outwards sharply into the path of and causing tightening and severe checks to Mood Swinger, Time Over Boots, Gunna Flex and Cheap. Charlston Chill was then galloped on from behind by these runners fell heavily and took no further part in the race. Mr Miargi and Rock It Hound were inconvenienced in this incident. A post race veterinary examination of Charlston Chill detected minor injuries requiring a 5 day stand down from racing. Charlston Chill (D.D.Schofield). Minor spike wounds and pain on shoulder extension. Rule 82.1. 5 days to and including 04.01.07.
Race 2	CAROL'S TABS' STAKES FINAL - C1f - 527	Dream On Cyrus, Loud and Proud and Sweet Teddy were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Lazer and Kobble Up came together for a stride after 20 mtrs. Nearing the first turn Cockny Code and Kobble Up came together for a stride with both being checked slightly. This reoccurred with these runners on entering the first turn but on this occasion Kobble Up and Thrilling Lazer were severely checked as the result. Entering the first turn Whisky's Lad moved to the rail causing severe checks to Elite Paradise, Dream On Cyrus and Sweet Teddy. Nearing the back straight Elite Paradise changed ground outwards and lost a length. Porchia Bale (J.T.McInerney). Left hip pain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 06.01.07.
Race 3	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS DASH - C5 - 318	Ash's Assassin was the slowest to begin. Stooge and Loaded Gun came together for several strides after the start. Entering the first turn Stooge and Bronx Appeal came together with Bronx Appeal then moving outwards slightly and severely checking Don Paulie which rebounded outwards and severely inconvenienced Ash's Assassin. On the first turn End Zone and Coruba Rush came together for a stride with Coruba Rush then moving outwards and inconveniencing Flash Shooter. Coruba Rush moved outwards after straightening for the run to the finish and inconvenienced Flash Shooter. Sir Kretion (L.J.Ahern). Rule 82.1 ex Wanganui 29.12.06. Don Paulie (N.P.Green). Examination at Trainers request following Race 10. Injuries to left shoulder - possible fracture. Euthanased.
Race 4	PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS STAKES - C1/2 - 527	Razzey, Homebush Falcon and Romano Reason were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Hola A Hypo moved inwards causing tightening to Tempest Lass and Baxter's General. Hola A Hypo then moved outwards causing Romano Reason to take evasive action by running very wide. On the first turn general tightening caused checks to Tempest Lass, Hoksilato, Baxter's General, Homebush Falcon and Hola A Hypo. Kobble Up (J.T.McInerney). Gained start in Race 2. This Time Boots (J.R.Udy). Right front split webbing requiring suturing. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 14 days to and including 13.01.07.
Race 5	MEADOWSET GREAPHICS SPRINT FINAL - C2f - 318	Got Hope and Suissa were the slowest to begin. Nearing the first turn Suissa moved inwards to the rail and carted Got Hope with it which then made brief contact with the running rail and again 5 mtrs later. Entering the first turn Best Place had it's heels clipped by Jacki Flex and then moved outwards carting Mrs Goodley and Jacki Flex with it. Best Place moved outwards slightly on the final bend when running 6th and inconvenienced Jacki Flex for several strides. A post race veterinary examination of Got Hope detected no injury. Homebush Duncan (J.T.McInerney). Scratched prior to box draw for Final. Bruised gracilis and bruising / swelling to left hind leg. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 15 days to and including 10.01.07. (Registration papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsement). Andwyn (S.P.Clark). Scratched prior to box draw for Final. ex Waikato GRC 29.12.06.
Race 6	WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ STAKES - C3/4 - 527	What Appeal, Killer Touch, Secret Teddy and Hopplar were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to all runners except Limited Impact and Sea Drifter which finished 1st and 2nd respectively. Thrilling Affair (R.P.O'Regan). Left hind main pad graze. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 5 days to and including 03.01.07.
Race 7	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD SPRINT FINAL - C5f - 318	On the first turn Dreamaqueen was tightened between runners when handy, lost several lengths and never recovered thereafter finishing last. Who Nose and Comical Ali took evasive action by running very wide. Who Nose was denied clear racing room behind Whisky Lee Girl on the final bend and turn when near the rear.
Race 8	OXYSHOT NEW ZEALAND STAKES FEATURE - C5 - 527	Dynamic Keroma and Charlston Ghost were the slowest to begin. Nearing the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Homebush Bradley, Cawbourne Baron, Ridley Reason and Whisky Boy. Dynamic Keroma and Homebush Bradley came together for several strides around the first turn with Homebush Bradley being checked.
Race 9	WATERLOO CUP FINAL - C5f - 527	Winsome Daisy was the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Hello Awesome moved outwards and inconvenienced Micki and Another Whisky. Micki then made contact with the hind quarters of Hello Awesome and stumbled severely checking itself, Winsome Daisy and Another Whisky. Winsome Secret changed ground outwards on the first bend and checked itself and Winsome Daisy. High Ace moved outwards on the first bend and checked Another Whisky. Near the end of the back straight Winsome Secret changed ground outwards again and lost momentum. On the final turn Another Whisky moved outwards and severely checked Winsome Secret and Winsome Daisy.
Race 10	'HAPPY NEW YEAR' DASH - C2/3 - 318	Friendly Virus, Baxter Sue and Ray Reeb were the slowest to begin. Music Lesson moved outwards after 20 mtrs and checked Movie Man which in turn moved outwards and checked Nitro Lad. Nearing the first turn Music Lesson moved inwards to the rail and severely checked itself and Friendly Virus. Entering the first turn Nitro Lad moved inwards and caused tightening and severe checks to itself, Movie Man, Friendly Virus and Music Lesson with Movie Man and Ray Reeb running wide as a result of this incident. Joebees Jet (B & L Craik). Pain in both wrists. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 5 days to and including 04.01.07.
