Judicial report: Weather: Showery Race 1. Trainer K.E.Lomas (Little Toot) was fined $100.00 (second offence) for an admitted breach of Rule 69.11 resulting from a 1.1kg underweight variance from this greyhounds previous race start on 21.05.06.

A Hearing was conducted in relation to an alleged breach of Rule 69.11 by Trainer N.P.Green. This resulted from a 1.4kg overweight variance recorded by the greyhound Positive Force in Race 9 at the Auckland GRC on 04.06.06 at which time Mr Green had chosen not to admit the breach.
Mr Green requested the presence of Mr G.Calverley at the hearing which was agreed to by the Stewards.
Following the consideration of all relevant evidence including that of Mr Green, the Weighing Official D.Green and Informant G.Bennett, the Adjudicating Steward K.Coutts upheld the charge and fined Mr Green $150.00 (third offence).

Race 1 MAJOR JOHN BLAKELEY SPRINT FEATURE - C5 - 318 There was no 'head on' coverage of this race available from TAB Trackside. Maxi The Taxi and Delta Belle were the slowest to begin. Cawbourne Lukey moved inwards to the rail on the first turn and checked Dyna Ropati slightly. Little Toot changed ground outwards then immediately back inwards on the bend. Dyna Ropati moved outwards on the home turn and checked itself, Delta Belle and inconvenienced Little Toot.
Race 2 CERTIFIED PLUMBERS STAKES FINAL - C2f - 527 Frosty's Special, Maximum and Massachusetts were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Pearl (fav and winner) ran inwards at the start and checked itself and Tent Top slightly. Miss Tonsberg and Tent Top came together for several strides after 40 mtrs. Nearing the first turn Tent Top moved outwards and checked Massachusetts slightly. Ashbourne Boss (J.Charleston). Second and fifth left hind nail beds sore and infected. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 3 day stand down to and including 09.06.06.
Race 3 NANCY COBAIN-SUTTON SPRINT FEATURE - C4 - 318 Mr Miargi was slow to begin. Wild Kentucky ran inwards and Raheny Reason outwards after 25 mtrs causing tightening and severe checks to themselves, Whata Shame, Hypoumunga (fav and 3rd) and Hostile Arch. Hostile Arch ran wide on the first turn. Mr Miargi moved outwards on the home turn and came together with Whata Shame for several strides.
Race 4 STEPHAN & MATTHEW SPRINT FINAL - C1f - 318 Dreamaqueen and Talkabout That came together for stride after 30 mtrs with both being severely checked. Talkabout That and Thrilling Taz (fav and 3rd) jostled for several strides prior to entering the first turn with Dreamaqueen being inconvenienced as result of this interference. Foul Play galloped on the heels of and severely checked Talkabout That on the first turn. Dreamaqueen and Talkabout That came together on the first turn with both being checked. Shortly after on the bend Talkabout That moved inwards to the rail and severely checked Dreamaqueen which rebounded outwards and severely checked itself, Bee Pees Boy and Hypo Lomu. Nearing the home turn Hypo Lomu ran inwards and came together with Dreamaqueen with both being severely checked and then jostling for several strides until after straightening for the run to the finish.
Race 5 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD DISTANCE FEATURE - C1d - 603 This race started 1 minute later than scheduled due to a request from TAB Trackside. Cawbourne Baron (fav and winner) and Bet She Can were the slowest to begin then came together twice for a stride on the first turn with Bet She Can being checked slightly. Thrilling Guy (K.Walsh). Dysuria and lethargy. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 17.06.06.
Race 6 CONEY STANLEY EVENTS STAKES FINAL - C3/4f - 527 Thrilling Sally, Rowland Reason and Tourist Jack were the slowest to begin. Flash Shooter and Kola's Glory (winner) came together for a stride entering the first turn. Rowland Reason raced very wide in the back straight and covered extra ground. Sea Drifter (fav and 3=) was hampered and checked slightly on the final bend by Milena Miss which drifted for several strides. Rowland Reason and Thrilling Sally came together for several strides prior to and on the home turn with both being slightly checked. Tee Tee Ninty was hampered behind runners after entering the home straight. Ash's Assassin(G.B.Darcy). Rule 64.12 ex AGRC on 04.06.06.
Race 7 O'NEILL FAMILY SPRINT FEATURE - C4 - 318 Mr Blackout and Coruba Rush were the slowest to begin. Time Over Boots (fav and 6th) cut off and checked by Origin Teddy on the first turn which came back into the path of Erickson Bale which was severely checked. Coruba Rush took evasive action from this incident by moving wide and remaining wide throughout. Mr Blackout was tightened and checked slightly in this incident and recovered well for 2nd. Tiger Strike (B & L Craik).Torn gracilis muscle. No vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.14. 28 days to and including 04.07.06. (Registration papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsement ).
Race 8 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DUKE OF EDINBURGH SILVER COLLAR - FINAL - C2df - 779 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DUKE OF EDINBURGH SILVER COLLAR. Thrilling Match and Prince Toshack were the slowest to begin. Kinda Devilish moved outwards on the first turn and into the path of Rubble which clipped the heels of Kinda Devilish, almost fell and was always at the rear thereafter. Kinda Devilish and Thrilling Match jostled for several strides prior to the first turn with both being checked. Rubble and Shining Comet ran very wide into the home straight on the first lap and covered extra ground. Rivette Reason and Prince Toshack came together for a stride leaving the home straight on the first lap. Nearing the home turn Prince Toshack moved outwards slightly to get off the rail and bumped Dinah Washington which in turn moved outwards and collided with Rivette Reason which was severely checked at a crucial stage of the race. Kinda Devilish was severely inconvenienced as a result of this incident and rallied well for 4th.
Race 9 BOX 24 STAKES FINAL - C1f - 527 Dancing Harry, Aria Allen, Night Raid and Scotexcited were the slowest to begin. Night Raid ran outwards after 40 mtrs, came together with Scotexcited for several strides with both being checked. Entering the first turn Scotexcited ran inwards sharply and severely checked itself, Night Raid and Dancing Harry with Aria Allen taking evasive action by running very wide. Smart Thomas (J & D Fahey). Left gluteal soreness. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 16.06.06.
Race 10 BATTLE OF THE SEXES SPRINT FINAL - R/Af - 318 Alassandro, Dynamic Keroma and Miss MacSteele were the slowest to begin. Kylie's Dilema jumped awkwardly. Entering the first turn Dynamic Keroma and MacMcLeod came together with both being severely checked and then continued to jostle and check each other around the first turn.
