Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 3. The 527 mtr starting boxes failed to open for this race and the runners were removed to allow for veterinary attention if requested / required, fault detection and repositioning of the lure. The field was then reboxed and the race hand started 5 minutes later than the scheduled time. The Club Electrician sought to ascertain the fault and was able to confirm that the failure had been caused by a faulty electrical relay switch in the control box on the starting boxes. The switch was replaced and tests conducted during the meeting resulting in the boxes functioning normally. All remaining 527 mtr races continued to be hand started as a back up and in conjunction with the auto triggering system.
