| Race 1 | STEWART & CAVALIER DASH - C4 - 375 | Bailed Out and Osbourne were slightly slow to begin. Thrilling Mike (fav and last), Velvot Revolver and Origin Teddy came together at the start with all be severely checked. Entering the first turn Origin Teddy moved inwards and checked itself, Thrilling Mike and Origin Teddy. A post race veterinary examination detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. Thrilling Mike (K.Walsh). Right fore carpus grazed and bruised caudally. Minor limp at walk / trot. Rule 82.1. 10 days stand down to and including 15.04.06. |
| Race 2 | BOBCAT HIRE SERVICES STAKES - C2 - 457 | Suitability, Foreign Diplomat and Under Time were the slowest to begin. Under Time remained very wide until the first turn. Sea Drifter (winner) galloped on the heels of and severely checked Gentle Lee on the first turn. Indefinite moved outwards on the first turn and had it's heels clipped by Massachusetts. |
| Race 3 | WAYNES HAMILTON EAST TAB DISTANCE - FINAL - C2df - 747 | Oizdon Spice, Rialto Reason and Thrilling Larisa were the slowest to begin. Shining Comet changed ground outwards on the first bend and lost a length. Rubble (J.T.McInerney). Scratched Rule 64.12 ex Christchurch GRC 29.03.06. and therefore withdrawn from Final of this race prior to box draw. No further penalty applies. |
| Race 4 | ALPHA HOTEL KIHIKIHI DASH - C4/5 - 375 | Rogan Reason and Comical Ali came together for a stride at the start with both being checked slightly. Fancy Bonnie was denied racing room and checked slightly on the first turn. |
| Race 5 | LOWE SCHOLLUM & JONES RACEWAY SPRINT - C5 - 375 | Charlston Kid (fav and winner) was slow to begin. Charlston Kid moved inwards to the rail entering the first turn collided with, tightened and severely checked itself and Mo Mistress. Troubled Times was short of racing room on the first turn, galloped awkwardly as a result. Spring Storm (2nd) moved outwards on the home turn and came together with and checked Flash Shooter (3rd) twice. A post race veterinary examination of Flash Shooter detected no injury. |
| Race 6 | PATHWAYS TO NZ LTD STAKES - C1 - 457 | Hot Dickadee, Aria Allen and Criteria were the slowest to begin. Hot Dickadee and Mochaccino came together for two strides entering the first turn. |
| Race 7 | NEW WORLD TOKOROA STAKES - C4 - 457 | Thrilling Neo and Ash's Assassin were slightly slow to begin. General tightening after 30 mtrs resulted in slight checks to Coruba Rush, Hello Awesome (fav and 3rd), Thrilling Neo and He's Off. Coruba Rush moved outwards off the rail entering the first turn, lost ground and showed little improvement thereafter finishing last. |
| Race 8 | GREEN THISTLE TRUST NZ DERBY - R/Af - 457 | Thrilling Tiger and Pattys Answer came together for a stride at the start with both being checked slightly. |
| Race 9 | VEHICLE SERVICES STAKES - C3 - 457 | Thrilling Match and Stabila Boss were the slowest to begin. Winsome Guy and Virtuoso came together at the start. Nearing the first turn Jacki Flex ran inwards and severely checked itself, Thrilling Match, Virtuoso and Winsome Guy. Rowland Reason raced wide and ran on well for 2nd. |
| Race 10 | BEST BETS STAKES - C1 - 457 | Certainly was tightened and checked between runners after 60 mtrs when near the lead Nearing the first turn Auditor's Folly moved outwards and bumped Augusta Allen then became unbalanced and ran about causing checks to itself and Deniable before dropping out to finish last. |
