Judicial report: Weather: Overcast / Fine Race 1. Royal Delta (D.Schofield) was charged with a breach of Rule 80.1(b) and suspended for 28 days (first offence) following a post race veterinary examination which detected no injury. In addition this greyhound is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to being nominated to race. Mr Schofield advised the Stewards that he did not wish to defend the charge.

Race 1	REASON FINANCE LTD DASH - FINAL - C1f - 318	Miss MacSteele and Royal Delta were the slowest to begin. Spyridon Louis and Stranger Danger (winner) came together for a stride at the start with Spyridon Louis being checked. Entering the first turn Stranger Danger moved inwards to the rail and severely checked Miss MacSteele which then moved outwards resulting in checks to Maxine's Beauty, Jacki Flex and Positive Force. Miss Mac Steele was tightened and checked on the bend when near the rear. Royal Delta raced up to lead on the first turn then on the bend lost focus, eased in stride and dropped back before drifting out to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary examination detected no injury (Refer Judicial). Miss MacSteele was checked on the final bend by the drifting Royal Delta. Royal Delta (D.Schofield). Charged under Rule 80.1(b). 28 days up to and including 05.04.06 and until the completion of a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 2	CAROL'S TABS' MAIDEN STAKES - FINAL - C0f - 527	Thrilling John and Thrilling Class (fav and 2nd) were slow to begin. Entering the first turn Thrilling Max moved inwards and collided with Turbo's Return with both being severely checked. Entering the first turn Mochaccino moved outwards and severely checked itself and Thrilling John. Thrilling Class moved outwards slightly on the first bend and checked Thrilling Max.
Race 3	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD AUCKLAND CUP CONSOLATION - C5 - 527	Rogan Reason was the slowest to begin. Thrilling Sam ran inwards at the start and bumped Dynamic Keroma which in turn bumped Accord. Entering the firs turn Token Ego and Thrilling Sam came together for a stride. Entering the home straight Accord moved outwards when near the rear and bumped Dynamic Keroma.
Race 4	IBLOC PRINT LTD DISTANCE - C1/2d - 603	Brilliant Hand and Rialto Reason were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Stinger Bart, Shining Comet, Thrilling May, Rialto Reason and Brilliant Hand. Rivette Reason was jostled momentarily in this incident. Stinger Bart and Thrilling May came together entering the second turn with both being checked slightly.
Race 5	RODEWALD HART BROWN LTD - RAILWAY SPRINT CONSOLATION - C5 - 318	Homebush Buzz was boxed first due to current 'hard to box' categorisation and was reported to box without difficulty. Slice Of Moon, Awesome Aston and World Bank (fav and 6th) were the slowest to begin. Homebush Buzz stumbled out of the boxes. Entering the first turn Homebush Buzz and Dyna Ropati came together with both being checked. Origin Teddy was also checked in this incident. World Bank raced wide for much of the journey.
Race 6	ROOF IMPROVEMENTS LTD STAKES - FINAL - C1f - 527	Auditor's Folly, Big Nate Banner and Hot Dickadee were the slowest to begin. Hot Dickadee and Rowland Reason jostled several times between the start and the first turn. Jostling nearing the first turn resulted in checks to Auditor's Folly and Hot Dickadee with the jostling continuing around the first turn. Thrilling Zeus (K.Walsh). Cut pad right forelimb. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 17.03.06.
Race 7	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD - AUCKLAND CUP FINAL - C5f - 527	Charlston State, Warnie and Prince Toshack were the slowest to begin. Micki moved outwards entering the first turn and checked Big Bad Stefano. Mo'em Down moved outwards on the first bend and hampered Micki for several strides. Big Sam Junior (fav and fell) ran wide on the first bend and hampered Warnie. Big Sam Junior appeared to be hampered slightly on the final bend and then kept racing in tight quarters until nearing the home turn when he became unbalanced and fell heavily. A post race veterinary examination detected injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. Big Sam Junior (D.Schofield). Concussed and bruising. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 18.03.06.
Race 8	SWISS DELI STAKES - FINAL - C2/3f - 527	Oizdon Spice, Thrilling Red and Holah A Hypo were the slowest to begin. Dyna Sandra moved outwards on the first turn and into the path of Holah A Hypo which clipped Dyna Sandra's heels and fell heavily. A post race veterinary examination of Holah A Hypo detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. Oizdon Spice changed ground outwards on the final bend when at the rear. Holah A Hypo (W.Steele). Spike wounds to rear end and skin graze behind right elbow. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 18.03.06.
Race 9	RODEWALD HART BROWN LTD - RAILWAY SPRINT FINAL - C5f - 318	Maxi The Taxi (fav and last), Cawbourne Lukey and Charlston Kid were the slowest to begin. Maxi The Taxi and Cawbourne Lukey came together for a stride at the start with both being checked slightly. Bigbad Edna and Aztec Keroma jostled continuously from the start to the first turn. Cawbourne Lukey ran inwards to the rail entering the first turn and checked Maxi The Taxi. Flash Shooter moved outwards in the home straight and checked Charlston Kid slightly.
Race 10	REASON FINANCE LTD SPRINT - C2/3 - 318	Charlston Flash and Joebees Jet were slow to begin. Danny Hand stumbled out of the boxes, lost 8 lengths and all chance. Ritzy Reason and Davron Lass came together for a stride after 20 mtrs and again entering the first turn with both being checked. Just Hasty changed ground outwards and clipped the heels of Full Of Flare (fav and 4th) on the bend with both being severely checked. Ritzy Reason ran very wide into the home straight and covered extra ground at a crucial stage of the race.
