Judicial report: Weather: Showery Race 4. It was observed and reported that Foreign Diplomat (B & L Craik) did not have a Catcher at the conclusion of the race which contravened the rules of the Waikato and Districts Greyhound Racing Club Inc and the matter was therefore referred by the Club Judicial Steward to the Judicial Committee for consideration.

Race 1 WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE STAKES - C3/4 - 457 Ballibeast, Awesome Enforcer and He's Off were the slowest to begin. Ballibeast was tightened and checked on the first turn with Awesome Enforcer also slightly checked in the backwash from this incident. Pelican moved outwards on the bend and hampered Ballibeast.
Race 2 TAYLOR STREET DASH - C2/3 - 375 Charlston Flash and Certainly were the slowest to begin. All Clear.
Race 3 SIXPACK STAKES - C1 - 457 Gentle Lee and Baltasar were the slowest to begin. Rockwell Reason was checked shortly after the start. Super Deal moved outwards across the heels of Rothvale Reason on the first turn and checked itself as a result.
Race 4 DINSDALE TAVERN DASH - C2 - 375 Jimmitom, Four Square and Jumbo Flash were the slowest to begin. Candy Coated and Camcaff came together after 40 mtrs with both being checked. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in Camcaff, Four Square and Candy Coated being severely checked. Tiger Time (P.R.Udy). Jaundiced and abnormal temperature. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 14 days up to and including 01.11.05.
Race 5 HILLCREST TAVERN SPRINT - C3 - 375 There was no head-on video coverage of this race available from TAB Trackside. Thrilling Dash was tightened slightly on the first turn.
Race 6 RACEWAY SPRINT - C4/5 - 375 Hypoumunga, Winsome Guy and Final Objective were slowest to begin. A post race veterinary examination of Hostile Arch detected an injury requiring a 21 day stand down from racing. Hostile Arch (G.A.Lawrence). Injured at lure, severe bruising and small lacerations to left shoulder. Rule 329. 21 days up to and including 09.11.05. (Registration papers to be presented to Stipendiary Steward for endorsement).
Race 7 TAMAHERE STAKES - C1 - 457 Mr Horatio, Richfield Reason, Last Account and Thrilling Tear were the slowest to begin. Nearing the first turn El Paso Princess moved inwards slightly which tightened and resulted in Richfield Reason hitting the running rail heavily. Mr Horatio was hampered in this incident. A post race veterinary examination of Richfield Reason detected no injury. Sea Drifter moved outwards on the first turn, collided with Thrilling Tear and resulting in both runners being severely checked. Thrilling Tear recovered very well to win.
Race 8 T MCDONALD CUP FINAL - C2df - 747 The head-on start of this race was not available on TAB Trackside video coverage. Run To Paradise, Superstitious and Shining Comet were the slowest to begin. A post race veterinary examination of Superstitious revealed a condition requiring treatment and a 7 day stand down from racing. Superstitious (J.D.Fahey). Not drinking, eating,urinating post race. Treated with co-forta. Rule 329. 7 days up to and including 26.10.05. (Registration papers to be presented to Stipendiary Steward for endorsement).
Race 9 T A B PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C2 - 457 Under Time and Thrilling Fella were the slowest to begin. Miss Another and Prince Flex jostled for several strides after 35 mtrs. Under Time moved inwards slightly on the first turn and checked Frosty's Special. Thrilling Fella and Frosty's Special ran very wide on the home turn.
Race 10 FAREWELL NORM EVANS STAKES - C5 - 457 My Rocky was the slowest to begin. Magical Spell move outwards on the first turn and came together with Raheny Reason and Charlston State with all three runners being slightly checked. On the bend Magical Spell moved outwards slightly again and checked Charlston State. Charlston State was very wide throughout the race. Raheny Reason moved to a wide running position ion the home straight. A post race veterinary examination of Charlston State detected no injury.
