Race 4	WANGANUI SECURITY '520' - C1 - 520	RUSH HOUR was checked on the first corner, went back to last and stayed there throughout. ASTRO JIMMY who was well supported, raced wide throughout and finished well back.
Race 5	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY STAKES - C4/5 - 520	WINSOME MAREE was slow to begin and stayed well back throughout. FLAMING PRINCE was checked on the first corner and also raced well back throughout. Race 7	METEOR PRINTERS WANGANUI STAYERS CUP - C2df - 755	THRILLING SAM was away well but was checked on the first bend, went back to last and never recovered, finishing at the rear.
Race 8	EXCEED '520' - C2/3 - 520	ASTRA NOMACOOL and RUSHED AFFAIR ran in from the start and jostled with INDEFINITE for a few strides. They settled in the last three places and stayed there throughout the race.
Race 9	STEEL STRUCTURES DASH - C2 - 305	FAITHFUL MITTENS was very slow to begin, lost several lengths and finished in 2nd last place. One of the favourites WIKI FLEX was checked in the race to the first corner and this ruined any chance of a placing.
