Race 1 | CAMBRIDGE/TE AWAMUTU HARNESS DISTANCE - C1/2d - 630 | Seven starters with late scratching of Campese Bale. Dr Kingsley sped away from field in early running and in back straight led by some six lengths - this margin was eroded by Baghdad Token closing near the line but Dr Kingsley held on well for win. Justa Toff flared wide at the first bend, racing towards rear from that point. Railroad Pat dipped in early stages after being prominent and drifted quickly to rear - not improving from there. No 4 Campese Bale (GN Pomeroy). Rule 259 - toe pad soreness. Stand down 10 days to 13.03.04. Dog presented. VC held. |

Race 3 | GENERAL ENGRAVERS 2003 LTD DASH - C2 - 375 | Osbourne, a favoured runner, challenged for lead in early stages then was checked and drifted back - entering home straight Osbourne flared wide and impeded High Pockets - both dogs then at rear and of no realistic chance to feature further. |
Race 4 | PERRY AGGREGATES LTD STAKES - C1 - 457 | Keenjackaroo was the early leader and held strongly to the line, although Yallah Ebony was closing rapidly at the finish. Light Of Smile came from a distance back along rail with late challenge - placing third. |
Race 5 | WAIKATO'S WORLD DISTANCE SERIES HEAT - C2dq - 747 Heat 1 | Madame's Pride took control early and held with a sustained run right to the line.Calm Abiding challenged late but closed only to half a length for second. Gozo Reg flared wide at the first bend, made some ground down back but did not feature in finish. . |
Race 6 | MATERIAL PROCESSING LTD STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | Flash Shooter looked likely winner when closing on pacemaker Clock Stopper but run came just too late. Winsome Rocket was slow to start, conceded ground and raced towards rear throughout. |
Race 7 | R J HIGGINS & CO LTD STAKES - C4/5 - 457 | Trent Bale and Idol Appeal disputed lead, with Idol Appeal in control entering the straight and holding from there. |
Race 8 | LION FOUNDATION NZ DERBY FINAL - R/Af - 457 | NZ Derby. Speed Twin stormed away from the jump and had the race in safe keeping from there. Thomason and Here's Freddie were slow to start and neither dog improved from the rear during race. |

Race 10 | CAMBRIDGE TAB STAKES - C2 - 457 | I'm Wishing took an early lead and held decisively to the line. Stylish Zoe was blocked for racing room after the start, drifted, and finished a distant last. |
