| Race 1 | MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C1/2 - 318 | Smokin' Time was slow away and conceded ground accordingly. Bahama Bale and Tempest Reign showed early speed and competed for the lead until Tempest Reign surged away and held strongly for the win. |
| Race 2 | STREETS ICE CREAM SIX PACK - C2 - 527 | Clock Stopper and Miss Teddy Bear, the reserve from box 3, came together shoulder to shoulder after the jump. Kaiser Izmir led field into the first bend and carried the lead down the back straight until Clock Stopper took command only to be denied by Melissa Bale's strong final surge along the rail. No 5 Ballyrue Zing (BC Dann). Rule 259 - hind foot laceration. Stand down 10 days to 26.12.03. VC held. |
| Race 3 | THE MAD BUTCHER STAKES - C1 - 527 | Luminoso carried an early break from the field right to the line.Oxey moved out after the jump - buffetting Yallah Ebony into the path of Muslie Man, both dogs being disadvantaged in their early progress. Lumos Obliviate went to the rail after the jump then at first bend moved out and into contact with Oxey. The strong finish by Lumos Obliviate for second had merit. No 1 Calm Abiding (P & L Henley). Rule 259 - right hock sprain. Stand down 10 days to 26.12.03. VC held. |
| Race 4 | TOP NOSH DASH - C3 - 318 | Heza Burner flashed away at the start but was just as quickly headed by Rawhiti Lad. Heza Burner was then in shoulder to shoulder contact with Ultravox and start to drift before dipping badly on his hind legs and tailing off.This dog was found to be severely injured and was euthanised post race.Rawhiti Lad finished strongly down the track outer for third despite having flared wide at the straight entrance. No 4 Heza Burner ( M Earley). Euthanised after severe injury. |
| Race 5 | TINT-A-CAR STAKES - C3 - 527 | Race clear. No 7 Railroad Pat (MJ Flipp). Rule 259 - toe sprain, right fore leg.Stand down 14 days to 26.12.03. VC held. . |
| Race 6 | 'YOUR AWESOME' AT STUD DASH - C4 - 318 | Lightning Light impeded the path of Rinaldi Aston and Allegro Flight after the jump when he moved out from box 3 - this caused the imped dogs to come together sharply. Lightning Light held off strong late challenge from Nicholas Bale at line. |
| Race 7 | EGH INTERNET GREYHOUNDS STAKES - C3/4 - 527 | Soulstorm put an early break on the field and result not in doubt from there.Almost A Dancer fell at first bend after being squeezed for room - tumbling into the path of the reserve Kiwi Prince and putting that dog out of contention as well. No 7 Token Warrior (DD Schofield). Rule 259- injury to right side rib area. Stand down for 10 days to 26.12.03. VC held. |
| Race 8 | RADIO PACIFIC DASH - C5 - 318 | Blue Paragon started swiftly - cleared away from the field to win moving away. |
| Race 9 | THE 'THRILLING' AUCKLAND CUP - C5f - 527 | Feature race. Hot Agent jumped well and stepped clear to establish a handy early lead when Token Crimes crossed sharply from box 5 and badly impeded the forward progress of the favourite Idol Appeal - Idol Appeal then pushing Starlight Bale over towards the rail. Hot Agent maintained early momentum and won impressively, with a margin in excess of four lengths at the line. |
| Race 10 | 'HAPPY HOLIDAYS' STAKES - C5 - 527 | Winsome Molly led to first bend before Winsome Shot took control and held well to the line. Some Joe finished strongly for third, having been at rear and racing towards rear in early stages. (Late scratching). No 6 Daphne Bale (AC Roberts). Rule 259 - toe nail injury. Stand down 5 days to 24.12.03. Dog presented. VC held. |
