1) AROHANUI EARLINE ( S & C Blackburn ) was given permission to withdraw from race one due to exceptional circumstances.

General:

Selected greyhound completing training trials had samples taken for the purpose of Out of Competition testing.

Injury Trials completed.

1) GOLDEN LOGGER ( G Hodgson ).

Race 1	TAB NZ - No Deductions, No Surprises C0 - C0 - 375	OUR WEE SOLDIER (1) - began awkwardly for a stride or so ,was then jostled for some strides. BIG TIME STICKER (2) - soon after the start she was tightened and jostled between runners for some strides losing momentum and ground back towards the rear racing wide into the bend. TANIA (3) - soon after the start she was severely crowded and jostled for some strides ,being checked back to the rear and ran wide into the bend losing all chance . Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. ALPHA SHELDON (4) - soon after the start he was tightened and checked back onto heels losing momentum for a few strides. PHANTOM PIXIE (5) - angled outwards abruptly across the face of FROSTY ANNE racing off the mats. FROSTY ANNE (7) - abruptly checked racing off the mats as PHANTOM PIXIE angled outwards sharply. She recovered quickly back into stride contacting with runners breifly entering the bend. IRISH BLESSING (10/6) - soon after the start she angled across sharply causing severe tightening and checks to runners to her inner for some strides.
Race 2	$15,000 720m Distance Feature Heats Here Oct. 7th C0 - C0 - 457	BLUE COD (1) - contact with CLIFTON BOY entering the bend and lost some momentum for a couple of strides. GO NORMAN (2) - angled outwards in the run to the bend ,then moved inwards bumping with CLIFTON BOY. Improved on the outer of CLIFTON BOY on the home turn angled down onto the shoulder of CLIFTON BOY and was checked for a stride or so. BIG TIME BRINDLE (6) - began very awkwardly and was slow into stride. He appeared uncomfortable in his galloping action racing into the bend. He made some ground in the run to the line. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. CLIFTON BOY (8) - dwelt at the jump. Contact and jostled with BLUE COD entering the bend. Bumped with GO NORMAN racing onto the top bend. Fell turning into the home straight as GO NORMAN angled down onto his shoulder . He quickly recovered to his paws and was caught by its handler prior to reaching the lure. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. Has been stood down for 5 days as per GRNZ rule 56A.1 -faller policy.
Race 3	Big Barrel Palmerston North PBD C1 - C1 - 375	MILO TONIGHT (5) - bumped soon after the start. BIG TIME CHALKY (6) - tightened and jostled between runners for a couple of strides racing off the mats. CLAWS IN GAGA (7) - angled inwards racing off the mats tightening onto runners to her inner and lost momentum for a couple of strides. Settled back racing wide into the bend and to the line.
Race 4	$30,000 457m Manawatu Cup Heats Here Oct. 7th C1 - C1 - 457	THRILLING BRODIE (5) - contact with BIG TIME RYDER racing off the mats. Angled outwards to the bend jostling with BIG TIME SLAY for some strides, then checked this runner entering the bend. BIG TIME RYDER (6) - tightened between runners and checked as they came off the mats catching heels and stumbling. Settled back and checked into the bend losing momentum and ground. Referred to the veterinarian and cleared of injury. BIG TIME SLAY (7) - contact soon after the start and hampered for some strides as THRILLING BRODIE angled outwards onto her shoulder then out across her line checking her .She went back several lengths ,then angled inwards jostling with BIG TIME RYDER for some strides. XANTHONE (8) - angled across from the jump causing tightening to runners to her inner for several strides.
Race 5	Federal Morgan At Stud C1/C2 - C1/2 - 457	RHODES WORTHY (1) - away well initial stages, soon after was tightened making contact with the rail, then came back off heels losing ground entering the bend. Referred to the veterinarian and found to have pain over distal sartorius with a 10 day stand down recommended. BIG TIME TANIWHA (2) - fav- hampered when tightened inwards for some strides in the run to the bend as OSCAR'S REALITY angled inwards .She was hampered for some strides in the run to the line as BROTHER PETE angled inwards and was unlucky not to finish closer. OSCAR'S REALITY (3) - soon after the start he angled ,and was dictated across causing tightening to runners to his inner for some strides. BROTHER PETE (4) - angled wide into and around the bend. Angled inwards down onto BIG TIME TANIWHA jostling with this runner for some strides in the run towards the line. BIG TIME FAYE (7) - soon after the start she angled across dictating OSCAR'S REALITY inwards for some strides.
Race 6	Dog Speed on SENZ 12pm Sunday PBD C1 - C1 - 375	BIG TIME BRIELLE (1) - crowded into the bend losing her position. Hampered and checked becoming unbalanced in the latter stages as ALLEGRO BARREL angled across between runners losing momentum and ground. ALLEGRO BARREL (2) - settled in the midfield ,angled out nearing the home turn then angled in between runners onto BIG TIME BRIELLE in the latter stages to the line. TRUTH HURTS (3) - clipped from behind in the latter stages as ALLEGRO BARREL angled across her heels. DENUTO (4) - contact and dictated inwards racing off the mats. OPAWA TRUMP (5) - came together with DENUTO as he angled inwards from the jump. Became awkwardly placed when changing ground inwards into the bend losing momentum and ground. PAVING WAY (8) - raced wide throughout.
Race 7	TAB Racing Mega Multi Buster PBD C1 - C1 - 375	ALLEGRO TORI (4) - came together and jostled with LIBERTY TAKER for some strides in the early stages. LIBERTY TAKER (5) - came together and jostled with ALLEGRO TORI for some strides in the early stages. COMMISSAR (6) - dictated inwards early stages. Angled wide in the run around the bend into the home straight jostling with AL'S CASINO in the latter stages of the run to the line. AL'S CASINO (8) - ran outwards in the run towards the line and jostled with COMMISAR.
Race 8	$15,000 Sprint Feature Heats Here Oct. 7th C2/C3 - C2/3 - 375	SHOT OF CLASS (1) - began awkwardly angling inwards sharply as he got into stride. Checked and lost momentum enterign the bend as NAYLA BALE was dictated in across his line, he was further hampered when clearing heels of runners racing onto the top bend. ELITE BUBBLE (2) - checked at the start as she angled out across heels racing extremely wide thereafter to the line. NALAYA BALE (3) - tightened and crowded into the bend and pushed in across the face of SHOT OF CLASS. Checked and lost ground in the run onto the top bend as BIG TIME RING improved past angling in across her line. BIG TIME RING (6) - contact racing off the mats as BIG TIME ADISON angled across. Checked and went back on runners racing onto the top bend as BIG TIME ADISON ANGLED ACROSS TO THE RAIL. BIG TIME ADISON (7) - contatc with BIG TIME RING as she angled inwards from the jump .Improved past runners angling across to the rail checking runners to her inner.
