MABLE JEWEL (7) - hampered entering the bend losing momentum. SIX PACK NUGGET (8) - turned outwards and lost momentum entering the bend when awkwardly placed to the outside of runners.
Race 2	Springston Hotel Canterbury Futurity Sprint Heat 2 - R/Aq - 295 Heat 2	GOLDSTAR ODETTE (1) - slow early. Crowded and had to check entering the bend. ADOBE DERULO (4) - contacted from the outside by OHOKA TOREY early stages causing GOLDSTAR SHAGGY to race in restricted room. GOLDSTAR SHAGGY (5) - placed in restricted room early stages. Crowded the racing room of GOLDSTAR ODETTE entering the bend losing balance for a stride. OHOKA TOREY (6) - collided with ADOBE DELURO early stages causing GOLDSTAR SHAGGY to race in restricted room.

GOLDSTAR CHARM (2) - crowded and obligated to check entering the bend losing ground. OPAWA PIP (3) - crowded and obligated to check off heels early stages. Checked and lost ground entering the bend. EPIC ROOSTER (5) - shifted down the track early stages crowding OPAWA PIP before shouldering with ANNA JEM. GOLDSTAR TOOKIE (6) - slow early. GOLDSTAR RIO (10/4) - shifted off heels exiting the bend.
Race 4	Springston Hotel Canterbury Futurity Sprint Heat 4 - R/Aq - 295 Heat 4	GOLDSTAR JUSTICE (1) - shouldered with DOUBLE THUNDER approaching the bend. Shifted off heels rounding the bend. GOLDSTAR GIGI (3) - raced in restricted room early stages. LUCAS JEWEL (4) - shouldered with DOUBLE THUNDER early stages placing GOLDSTAR GOLDSTAR GIGI in restricted room. Contacted from the outside by ROWDY'S MESSAGE shortly afterwards becoming unbalanced and making contact with DOUBLE THUNDER. ROWDY'S MESSAGE (5) - contacted LUCAS JEWEL early stages. Crowded DOUBLE THUNDER approaching the bend. Lost ground when awkwardly placed to the outside of GOLDSTAR JUSTICE entering the bend. Raced on the hindquarters of DOUBLE THUNDER exiting the bend. IT'S BETTER (8) - slow early. DOUBLE THUNDER (9/2) - shouldered with LUCAS JEWEL early stages placing GOLDSTAR GOLDSTAR GIGI in restricted room. Contacted from the outside by LUCAS JEWEL in the run to the bend. Placed in restricted room approaching the bend. Hindquarters raced on exiting the bend.
Race 5	Springston Hotel Canterbury Futurity Sprint Heat 5 - R/Aq - 295 Heat 5	SPOT LU (3) - checked outwards off heels entering the bend causing an inconvenience to NIGHTHAWK SWIFT. GOLDSTAR WARRIOR (5) - collided with HELSINKI on jumping. Forced up the track entering the bend. Faltered and fell to the track in the run to the finish. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a fractured right femur. Was subsequently transported to local Veterinary clinic where it underwent immediate surgery. Issued with a 90 day incapacitation. Must trial prior to resuming. HELSINKI (6) - collided with GOLDSTAR WARRIOR on jumping. Shifted off heels rounding the bend. NIGHTHAWK SWIFT (7) - inconvenienced entering the bend shifting up the track and forcing GOLDSTAR WARRIOR wide. GOLDSTAR VARGAS (8) - slow early.
Race 6	Springston Hotel Canterbury Futurity Sprint Heat 6 - R/Aq - 295 Heat 6	Stewards inspected the part of the track prior to this race where GOLDSTAR WARRIOR fracture its and deemed the track to be in a satisfactory condition to continue racing. GOLDSTAR YOGI (2) - hampered on jumping losing ground. MITCHAM IVAN (3) - shifted inwards on jumping bumping with GOLDSTAR YOGI. Hampered entering the bend. SINHA MAN (4) - hampered entering the bend. PEGGY LU (5) - contacted from the outside by GOLDSTAR CHEWY early stages. Checked rounding the bend losing ground. GOLDSTAR CHEWY (6) - contacted PEGGY LU early stages. Forced to race wide rounding the bend.
Race 7	Rose & Thistle South Island Champs Heat 1 - C5q - 520 Heat 1	OBERON BALE (7) - came inwards and had to clear the heels of MELVILLE BALE early stages.
Race 8	Rose & Thistle South Island Champs Heat 2 - C5q - 520 Heat 2	DALISHA BALE (2) - briefly raced on the hindquarters of EPIC CRUZE in the run to the bend. Raced wide exiting the first bend and again exiting the final bend. EPIC CRUZE (5) - shouldered briefly with BEST BALL early stages. Shifted down the track in the run to the first bend forcing DALISHA BALE to contact its hindquarters. BEST BALL (7) - shouldered briefly with EPIC CRUZE early stages.
Race 9	Suck It Up Canterbury Futurity Heat 1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	DOUBLE MAJOR (2) - placed in restricted room entering the first bend. OPAWA DUCHESS (3) - shifted off heels first bend. OPAWA GINA (4) - raced in restricted room exiting the final bend. GOLDSTAR NOLAN (6) - crowded OPAWA GINA exiting the final bend. GO JOHNNY GO (7) - made contact with CHARLOTTE LU entering the first bend. CHARLOTTE LU (8) - contacted from the inside by GO JOHNNY GO entering the first bend.
Race 10	Suck It Up Canterbury Futurity Heat 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2	CARLOS JEWEL (2) - checked off heels entering the first bend being terminally checked by NOT SO SIMPLE. Lost ground with the field thereafter. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. OPAWA ANITA (6) - contacted from the outside by CALCULATED RISK on several occasions early stages. NOT SO SIMPLE (7) - awkwardly placed on heels early stages. Checked CARLOS JEWEL entering the first bend losing ground. CALCULATED RISK (8) - collided with OPAWA ANITA on several occasions early stages. Significantly checked entering the first bend.
