YANIRA BALE (3) - crowded and checked losing ground on the first bend. SINHA MAN (4) - contacted and unbalanced early stages. EZRA BLUEBLOOD (5) - contacted and crowded losing ground early stages. Raced wide on bend and throughout the final straight. AMURI JET (6) - crowded at the start losing ground. Made contact with the hind quarters of SMASH GRENADE which became unbalanced resulting in SINHA MAN being contacted and checked on the first bend. OPAWA JAWS (8) - shifted inwards on the first bend crowding inside runners. SMASH GRENADE (9/7) - shifted inwards at the start crowding AMURI JET. Continued to shift inwards early stages contacting and crowding EZRA BLUEBLOOD and SINHA MAN which was contacted and unbalanced.
Race 2	mayhounds.org.nz Rehoming Group Stakes - C1 - 520	LUCKY LUCIANO (1) - raced wide throughout the running. GOOFY ADOBE (2) - shifted out across heels when EMPTY GARDEN shifted inwards and as a result LET'S GO YOYO was contacted and dictated wider in the early stages. INFINITY ONE (4) - slow to begin. LET'S GO YOYO (5) - contacted at the start losing ground. Contacted and dictated wider early stages. OPAWA EMMA (6) - shifted inwards at the start making contact with LET'S GO YOYO.
Race 3	Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C2 - 295	GOLDSTAR CHEWY (1) - placed in restricted room and when attempting to shift out made contact with the hind quarters of SIMPLE MISTAKE which was then dragged down with LONELY GEMMA being hampered on the bend. ELSA BLUEBLOOD (3) - raced wide final straight. SIMPLE MISTAKE (4) - slow to begin. Contacted and dragged down on the bend losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. LONELY GEMMA (6) - contacted and hampered early stages losing ground. Hampered on the bend. DILLER (8) - shifted inwards shortly after the start with LONELY GEMMA being contacted and hampered. OPA'S JOY (10/2) - raced wide final bend and throughout the final straight.
Race 4	Happy Birthday Katrina Wright Stakes - C1 - 520	ADOBE BRO (M Roberts) was a late scratching at kenneling with stopper bone soreness. HOMEBUSH SNOW (2) - Raced wide final bend and throughout the final straight. REPLICA REBEL (3) - contacted and crowded losing ground shortly after the start when HOMEBUSH SNOW shifted inwards. Shifted outwards first bend hampering PARIS BANDIT. Raced wide back straight. GOLDSTAR YOGI (5) - began awkwardly losing ground. PARIS BANDIT (6) - began awkwardly losing ground. Hampered first bend.
Race 5	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C1 - 295	LIGHTFOOT LUNA (1) - contacted and unbalanced shortly after the start. HOMEBUSH ALTENA (2) - slow to begin. Contacted and crowded losing ground and was then forced onto LIGHTFOOT LUNA which was contacted and unbalanced shortly after the start when GOLDEN KIWI shifted in GOLDEN KIWI (3) - shifted inwards shortly after the start crowding HOMEBUSH ALTENA. HOMEBUSH JEWEL (5) - crowded and checked losing ground on the bend when runners either side shifted ground. WRINKLY WAYNE (7) - raced wide on the bend and throughout the final straight. GOLDSTAR JUBILEE (8) - blundered shortly after the start losing ground.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C2/3 - 520	IT'S A BABE (2) - raced wide final bend and through out the final straight with OPAWA PICK being dictated wider on the track. CALCULATED RISK (4) - raced wide back straight. OPAWA PICK (6) - raced wide first bend. Dictated wider final bend and throughout the final straight. ZIPPING TRACKER (7) - raced wide into the first bend. Began to give ground free of interference on the final bend and as a result finished a distant last. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no injury. Stood down for 3 months (2nd offence) for Failing to Pursue the Lure and must complete Satisfactory Trial prior to resuming.
Race 7	Garrard's Horse And Hound Dash - C1 - 295	KNOW POPS (3) - crowded and checked losing ground when HOMEBUSH MAGGIE was forced inwards by GRANDE VUE ACE which shifted inwards om the first bend. HOMEBUSH MAGGIE (4) - contacted and unbalanced losing ground shortly after the start. TAIERI SNAPSHOT (5) - slow to begin. Raced wide on the bend and throughout the final straight. MORTLOCK (8) - slow to begin.
Race 8	Dyna Elwyn @ Stud Sprint - C1 - 295	OPTIONAL EXTRA (5) - raced wide on the bend and throughout the final straight. UNCLE FRANK (6) - slow to begin. Placed in restricted room when runners to either side shifted ground on the bend and as a result UNCLE FRANK had to shift out across heels losing ground. Raced wide final straight. GOLDSTAR VALE (8) - slow to begin. HOMEBUSH GEORGE (10/1) - when questioned in regards to the improved performance the connections advised that the dog is better suited to an inside draw and was able to obtain an uncontested lead today.
Race 9	Selwyn-Rakaia Vet Services Stakes Final - C1f - 520	OPAWA ELEGANT (4) - crowded losing ground when ADOBE KID shifted in forcing WILLENE BALE inwards onto OPAWA ELEGANT which then had to check off heels dictating MY CURLY and OPAWA KYLE wider on the track with both these runners losing ground. WILLENE BALE (5) - crowded losing ground on the first bend when OPAWA NEVEILLE shifted out. Raced wide final straight. MY CURLY (6) - slow to begin. Forced wider losing ground on the first bend. ADOBE KID (7) - slow to begin. Raced wide back straight. OPAWA KYLE (8) - slow to begin. Forced wider losing ground on the first bend.
Race 10	Balcairn Stockfoods & CopRice Dog Food Dash - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH BUN (2) - slow to begin losing all chance. MINE HUNTER (4) - Contacted and becoming unbalanced when AMURI RURU shifted in shortly after the start. Raced wide first bend and into the final straight. AMURI RURU (7) - shifted inwards across the heels of GOLDSTAR SMILES at the start and as a result lost ground. HOMEBUSH FANTA (9/8) - raced wide first bend.
Race 11	Racing Again 26 May @ 4.18pm Sprint - C2 - 295	LITTLE NOSEY (1) - raced wide final straight. DAISY BEE (3) - placed in restricted room having to shift out across heels losing ground when SIDELINE SALLY shifted inwards. Raced wide on the bend SIDELINE SALLY (4) - shifted inwards early stages making contact with DAISY BEE. SWANSON (6) - shifted out across heels making brief contact with the hind quarters of ANGRY PETE which had shifted in on the bend, SWANSON was then obliged to race wide on the track. ANGRY PETE (8) - briefly contacted on the bend.
Race 12	Rose & Thistle Sprint - C2 - 295	THEROUX (2) - briefly contacted shortly after the start. ALMOST EXACTLY (3) - crowded shortly after the start losing ground. REGAL JOCK (4) - Shifted inwards shortly after the start crowding ALMOST EXACTLY and then making BRIEF contact with THEROUX. GOLDSTAR QUINN (5) - raced wide final straight. HUSTLE ACE (7) - raced wide on the bend and throughout the final straight. HOMEBUSH DREAM (8) - lost ground coming entering the bend dropping to the rear. Performance noted.
