1). Trainer C Steel has advised Stewards that THRILLING MERLIN had returned to his kennel presenting with mild swelling and pain on palpation to a wrist/stopper tendon.

General:

1). Selected greyhounds competing in solo training trials were required to provide a sample of urine for the purpose of out of competition testing.

BIG TIME BONITA (2) - collided with DONNING early stages before jostling with this greyhound through the run to the bend. Raced wide rounding the bend becoming awkward in its gallop before shifting across heels entering the final straight. Referred to the Veterinarian and found free of injury. SCOOBY BLUE (3) - place in restricted room in the run to the bend. Raced on the hindquarters of RED CONQUEST entering the bend. Jostled with this greyhound rounding the bend. DONNING (5) - collided with BIG TIME BONITA early stages before jostling with this greyhound through the run to the bend. Contacted from the outside by SMASH QUIZZER approaching the bend. SMASH QUIZZER (9/7) - contacted DONNING approaching the bend.
Race 2	Jo's Wholesale Taipa Tavern Sprint - C1 - 318	GINGER MASCARA (1) - shouldered with TEN AFTER FOUR approaching the bend. PORTLAND ETHAN (2) - hindquarters raced on early stages. ALLEGRO BRYAN (3) - slow early before being obligated to race in tight quarters. Shouldered with SMOKIN' CHIMNEY in the run to the bend. Raced in restricted room rounding the bend. Checked outwards off heels exiting the bend. SMOKIN' CHIMNEY (4) - raced on the hindquarters of PORTLAND ETHAN early stages. Jostled with ALLEGRO BRYAN in the run to the bend. Bumped with SPRING FORWARD exiting the bend. SPRING FORWARD (6) - slow early. Bumped with SMOKIN' CHIMNEY exiting the bend. TEN AFTER FOUR (8) - shouldered with GINGER MASCARA approaching the bend.
Race 3	Trophies Plus Sprint - C0 - 318	CREAMING SODA (1) - hampered early stages when contacted by MINERVA MINX. Clipped the heels of MEG'S MUNCH entering the bend shifting up the track in consequence before shouldering with SCOTCH MIST. SCOTCH MIST (2) - placed in restricted room early stages. Dictated wide entering the bend before shouldering with both CREAMING SODA and GIRL HOPE. Shifted across heels exiting the bend. KETTLE POT (3) - placed in restricted room early stages. MINERVA MINK (4) - placed inside greyhounds at an inconvenience when shifting down the track abruptly on jumping. MEG'S MUNCH (5) - shifted off heels when crowded entering the bend before having heels clipped. GIRL HOPE (6) - dictated wide entering the bend before shouldering with SCOTCH MIST.
Race 4	Pump & Engineering Services Ltd Stakes - C1 - 527	BIGTIME ALFIE (2) - hindquarters raced on entering the first bend. THEA WHO (6) - raced in tight quarters early stages and again entering the bend contacting the hindquarters of BIGTIME ALFIE. Jostled with BIG TIME JONAH back straight. BIG TIME JONAH (7) - raced in restricted room early stages. Raced in restricted room rounding the first bend losing ground. Jostled with THEA WHO back straight. OPAWA TRUMP (8) - hampered entering the first bend.
Race 5	Book Your Function @ Sportsbowl Function Centre - C3/4 - 318	ZIPPING AUBRY (1) - shouldered with ROCK IT RED early stages and again approaching the bend. ROCK IT RED (2) - shouldered with ZIPPING AUDRY early stages and again approaching the bend before being placed in restricted room and losing ground. PORTLAND BLONDE (4) - hindquarters raced on early stages. ALLEGRO PEACHES (5) - raced on the hindquarters of PORTLAND BLONDE early stages.
Race 6	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Sprint - C1 - 318	ALLEGRO ROBBIE (5) - awkward out of the boxes brushing shoulders with HILLBILLY BREWED. HILLBILLY BREWED (6) - brushed shoulders with ALLEGRO ROBBIE early stages. BRANDI CHASER (8) - raced on the hindquarters of GRUMPY JOCK entering the final straight. GRUMPY JOCK (9/1) - hindquarters raced on by BRANDI CHASER entering the final straight.
Race 7	Jo's Sports Bar Taipa Tavern Sprint - C2 - 318	BIG TIME LAD (1) - shouldered briefly with COOLIBAH KID in the run to the bend. Crowded and had to check entering the bend losing ground. BOOT CAMP TIARA (2) - raced in restricted room early stages. Crowded entering the bend before climbing on heels rounding the bend losing ground. COOLIBAH KID (3) - shouldered with BIG TIME LAD briefly in the run to the bend. BIG TIME CHARM (4) - raced in restricted room early stages. MEDUSA WHO (5) - hindquarters raced on approaching the bend. ALLEGRO VEY (6) - shifted off heels early stages. Became unbalanced when racing on the hindquarters of MEDUSA WHO approaching the bend. Checked from behind rounding the bend losing ground.
Race 8	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C3/4 - 318	LUCY MIRKO (2) - jostled with PINA COLADA in the run to the bend. Hampered exiting the bend when racing to the inside of PINA COLADA. OPAWA LUKE (4) - crowded early stages losing ground. PINA COLADA (5) - jostled with LUCY MIRKO in the run to the bend. Shifted in off heels exiting the bend hampering LUCY MIRKO.
Race 9	MPS Fencing Sprint - C2 - 318	LOYAL REDEEMER (1) - crowded entering the bend being obligated to check off heels and shift up the track. DUBSTEP (2) - raced on the hindquarters of PORTLAND ART early stages. PORTLAND ART (3) - hindquarters raced on early stages. Shifted in off heels approaching the bend. NANA MOLLY (6) - checked entering the bend shifting up the track and forcing BATTLE CRUISER wide. Turned outwards rounding the bend when crowding BIG TIME GUCCI. BIG TIME GUCCI (7) - lost ground when awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend. Crowded rounding the bend becoming awkwardly positioned to the inside of NANA MOLLY. BATTLE CRUISER (8) - dictated wide entering the bend.
Race 10	Easter Stakes - C4/5 - 527	ZIPPING HEWITT - late scratching at kenneling. TUFF ADMIRAL (3) - shifted up the track early stages before having its hindquarters raced on by OPAWA KIRK. Failed to race to market expectation with a Veterinarian examination no abnormalities. OPAWA SLICK (6) - hindquarters raced on early stages. OPAWA KIRK (7) - raced on the hindquarters of OPAWA SLICK and then TUFF ADMIRAL early stages.
Race 11	Carol's TAB Taipa Tavern Sprint - C5 - 318	DRIFTER DODGE (3) - contacted the hindquarters of WHEELHOUSE exiting the bend. WILD KIWI (4) - obligated to race in restricted room entering the bend. WHEELHOUSE (6) - hindquarters raced on exiting the bend. ZIPPING DEREK (8) - slow through the early stages.
Race 12	Mt Wellington TAB Stakes - C3 - 527	BIG TIME PEDRO (3) - awkward into stride. Placed on heels entering the first bend losing ground. Again placed on heels back straight losing further ground. DUBLIN EXPRESS (5) - checked from behind entering the first bend. Crowded prior to exiting the first bend. OPAWA ROWAN (8) - slow early stages.
Race 13	Sportsbowl Function Centre Sprint - C3 - 318	KIRKBY (1) - shouldered with ALLEGRO ELLA approaching the bend. ALLEGRO ELLA (2) - shouldered with KIRKBY approaching the bend losing balance and causing an inconvenience to ALLEGRO ASHER. Jostled with this greyhound in the run to the finish line. ZOE STAR (3) - weakened late in the run home and last to the lure. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have cramped with a 5 day incapacitation issued as per the Cramping Policy. BELMONTS (4) - hindquarters raced on early stages. ALLEGRO ASHER (5) - awkwardly positioned on the hindquarters of BELMONTS early stages. Hampered entering the bend when racing to the outside of ALLEGRO ELLA. Jostled with this greyhound in the run to the finish line. OTAKI RIVER (8) - coursed wide in the run to the bend.
