Palmerston North GRC - 23 December 2021

1) Following the late scratchings of the W Kite & F Kite runners due to a traffic accident the following dogs were all vetted and cleared of injury by Dr. M Jansen BVSc. PRETTY BELINDA, BIG TIME CHASE, WATERLOO PINK, SEDGEBROOK SALLY & WAITING GAME.

Palmerston North GRC - 29 December 2021

1) This meeting was postponed from 29 December 2021 until 30 December 2021 due to safety concerns with the track which Stewards were not satisfied could have been rectified in a timely fashion prior to the scheduled start time.
2) The Club, in consultation with GRNZ and TAB were able to move the meeting from 29 December 2021 to 30 December 2021.
3) Trainers were afforded the option, by Stewards, to scratch free of penalty due to the change in racing days.

Trials:

1) TUFF DYNAMO (B Mitchell) - completed a satisfactory trial wearing blinkers.

Stand downs:

1) DRUNKEN LULLABY (R Waite) - for 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial for Failing To Pursue in Race 4.

BIG TIME CRUSADE (3) - began awkwardly contacting BIG TIME BALLET, losing some ground as a result. Contacted BIG TIME BALLET from behind when improving on the point of the bend. Tightened BIG TIME BALLET entering the home straight when attempting to move to the rail. SHAKE A LEG (4) - began awkwardly contacting BIG TIME BALLET. Brushed BIG TIME FONZY shortly after the start. Bumped BIG TIME FONZY nearing the bend. Coursed wide entering the home straight. BIG TIME FONZY (6) - brushed SHAKE A LEG shortly after the start. Bumped nearing the bend. Raced wide through the bend and early stages of the home straight.
Race 2	Nightrave Greyhounds Adoption C1 - C1 - 457	MAD WORLD (1) - moved up the track through the back straight to race wide from entering the bend. DEFER FIRE (2) - tightened entering the bend. Buffeted ALLEGRO RUBY nearing the winning post. ROCK ON ANNIE (4) - began very awkwardly, then tightened becoming unbalanced and moving up the track bumping ALLEGRO RUBY shortly after the start. LOSING DAYS (5) - tightened ROCK ON ANNIE at the start. ALLEGRO DRAKE (7) - tightened DEFER FIRE entering the bend. ALLEGRO RUBY (8) - slow away. Bumped shortly after the start. Buffeted nearing the winning post.
Race 3	Great Mates Rehoming Programme C0 - C0 - 410	EXPRESS WAY (1) - jostled with BIG TIME RAINBOW shortly after the start for a distance, eventually losing ground entering the bend. BIG TIME RAINBOW (2) - jostled with EXPRESS WAY shortly after the start for a distance, eventually clearing that runner entering the bend. BIG TIME GUCCI (4) - began awkwardly. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the bend needing to move up the track to gain clear racing room. Inconvenienced nearing the home straight and dictated up the track to race wide thereafter. ALLEGRO BOW (5) - slight contact from behind entering the bend. Contacted from behind and lost ground on the point of the bend. Checked entering the home straight. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury. BIG TIME ZOOM (6) - slow away. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the home straight needing to move up the track, checking ALLEGRO BOW as a result. BIG TIME MOSSY (9/8) - contacted ALLEGRO BOW from behind entering the bend. Contacted ALLEGRO BOW from behind on the point of the bend. Raced wide through the home straight.
Race 4	KiwiKiwi Hounds Adoption C0 - C0 - 410	HAVE A YAK (1) - contacted entering the home straight. Buffeted BIG TIME BUCKLE in the home straight. BIG TIME TINK (2) - tightened at the start. Contacted the rail nearing the bend losing ground and out of contention thereafter. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury. BIG TIME DAWN (3) - tightened at the start. Moved up the track through the back straight bumping DRUNKEN LULLABY. Contacted from behind nearing the home straight. BIG TIME BUCKLE (4) - began awkwardly tightening runners to her inside. Contacted from behind nearing the bend. Buffeted in the home straight by runners either side and lost ground. DRUNKEN LULLABY (5) - bumped in the back straight. Turned his head outwards, free of interference entering the home straight towards BIG TIME BUCKLE, then buffeted BIG TIME BUCKLE in the home straight. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury. Stood down pursuant with Rule 55.1(b), Failing To Pursue, for 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial. BIG TIME GIRLY (6) - began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. BIG TIME MYSTIC (8) - contacted BIG TIME DAWN from behind nearing the home straight.
Race 5	Greyhounds As Pets Reverse Criteria C1 - C1 - 410	SUMMER GLEE (2) - awkwardly placed behind runners on the point of the bend needing to move across heels to gain clear racing room. Contacted on two occasions nearing and entering the home straight. OPAWA GRAVEL (4) - contacted IDOL REIGN from behind on the point of the bend, losing ground. SHOT OF CLASS (5) - slow away. IDOL REIGN (6) - contacted from behind on the point of the bend. JACK MARJEN (9/8) - slow away. Contacted SUMMER GLEE on two occasions nearing and entering the home straight.
Race 6	Mayhounds Rehoming Group C1 - C1 - 410	PRETTY BELINDA (1) - began awkwardly, slipping shortly after the start. Checked entering the home straight, becoming unbalanced and tightened MOTHER'S TOUCH shortly after and bumped AL'S LOADED. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury. ALLEGRO SCOUT (2) - slow away. AL'S LOADED (3) - jostled through the bend with BIG TIME EDDIE, losing ground, nearing the home straight, as a result. Contacted BIG TIME FABIO from behind entering the home straight when attempting to move up the track, checking PRETTY BELINDA in the process, then bumped shortly after. MOTHER'S TOUCH (4) - bumped shortly after the start. In restricted room entering the bend needing to move across heels to gain clear racing room, dictating BIG TIME PEGGY wider as a result. Tightened entering the home straight. Raced wide for the latter stages of the home straight. BIG TIME EDDIE (5) - bumped OPAWA JADE at the start, then bumped MOTHER'S TOUCH. Jostled with AL'S LOADED through the bend, losing ground, nearing the home straight, as a result, raced in restricted room shortly after. Tightened OPAWA JADE entering the home straight. OPAWA JADE (6) - bumped at the start. Bumped BIG TIME FABIO shortly after the start. Tightened entering the home straight. Race 7	Big Barrel Palmerston North C1 - C1 - 410	AL'S CASINO (3) - brushed BIG TIME VUITTON at the start. Bumped shortly after the start. Squeezed TAKAKAWE entering the bend. Raced wide through the home straight. BIG TIME VUITTON (4) - brushed AL'S CASINO at the start, then bumped that runner. Buffeted nearing the bend, losing ground. Tightened on the point of the bend appearing to contact the rail, losing ground again. Referred to the OTV and cleared of injury. TAKAKAWE (5) - bumped at the start. Jostled, briefly, with BIG TIME CHARM nearing the bend. Squeezed between runners entering the bend, losing ground. Tightened BIG TIME VUITTON on the point of the bend. CHECK ME OUT (6) - began awkwardly bumping TAKAKAWE. Buffeted BIG TIME VUITTON nearing the bend. BIG TIME CHARM (7) - jostled, briefly, with TAKAKAWE nearing the bend. Squeezed TAKAKAWE entering the bend.
Race 8	World's Fastest Couch Potatoes C1 - C1 - 410	BIG TIME CHERRY (1) - contacted entering the bend. BIG TIME CHASE (6) - began awkwardly. AL'S WITCH (7) - raced wide for the majority of the event. BIG TIME VIOLET (8) - slow away. Contacted BIG TIME CHERRY when improving to the inside of that runner entering the bend.
