Checked entering the first bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. GO JOHNNY GO (3) - shifted down the track on jumping hampering inside runner. Raced in restricted room entering the first bend having to check and lose ground. GOLDSTAR BUTTERS (4) - checked and lost balance entering the first bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. KNOW EGO (8) - checked and lost ground entering the first bend.
Race 2	Springston Hotel Feature - C4 - 295	BRUNO BARBARELLI (2) - shouldered and forced down the track early stages. Checked from behind rounding the bend. OPAWA BOYS PAID (3) - shouldered down the track onto BRUNO BARBARELLI early stages. DENARAU DELIGHT (4) - slow early. Raced on heels entering the bend. HOMEBUSH CHLOE (5) - shouldered OPAWA BOYS PAID down onto BRUNO BARBARELLI early stages. Dragged down entering the bend. Crowded exiting the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. EPIC ADDI (6) - crowded and had to check entering the bend losing ground as a consequence. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend. Turned outwards exiting the bend.
Race 3	Active Electrical Christchurch Feature - R/A - 520	WILLENE BALE (1) - crowded and placed on heels having to check entering the final bend losing ground and causing a check to OPAWA CHRISSY. OPAWA CHRISSY (2) - checked off heels approaching the final bend. Checked rounding the final bend losing ground before being dragged down losing further ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. OPAWA PICK (4) - hindquarters raced on in the run to the first bend. Raced in restricted room entering the first bend. Awkwardly placed on the heels of OPAWA CHRISSY rounding the bend having to check abruptly. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. MONEY BAGS (5) - raced on the hindquarters of OPAWA PICK in the run to the first bend. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the first bend. OPAWA WAYNE (6) - shouldered with GOLDSTAR TANNER early stages. Placed on heels first bend. GOLDSTAR TANNER (7) - shouldered with OPAWA WAYNE early stages. HOMEBUSH RANGER (8) - crowded and lost ground entering the final bend.
Race 4	O'Shea's Public House Feature - C2d - 645	BRONSKI BEAT (1) - weakened final stages. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. SPEED MACHINE (3) - hindquarters raced on early stages. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the kennel block turn shifting outwards. ELLIAS BALE (4) - crowded for racing room early stages. Shifted off heels entering the home straight on the first occasion checking NANGAR RIDGE as a consequence. HAIRPIN TRIGGER (5) - crowded for racing room early stages. KNOW GRIZZLES (6) - crowded for racing room early stages. NANGAR RIDGE (7) - hampered early stages. Checked and lost balance entering the home straight on the first occasion.
Race 5	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Feature - C1/5 - 295	GOLDSTAR LINDA (1) - jostled with TROUSSEAU early stages. Crowded entering the bend losing ground. TROUSSEAU (2) - jostled with GOLDSTAR LINDA early stages. PITCH MARK (3) - hindquarters raced on early stages. BIG TIME PRADA (4) - raced on the hindquarters of PITCH MARK early stages before being placed in restricted room losing momentum as a consequence. Again raced in restricted room entering the bend contacting the hindquarters of DIAMOND HARMONY as a consequence. DIAMOND HARMONY (6) - hindquarters raced on rounding the bend.
Race 6	Len, Jane & Penny Hart Memorial Feature - C3 - 520	AMURI FURY (J McInerney) was a late scratching at kenneling with a nail injury. OPAWA COREY (2) - jostled briefly with LONGSHANKS early stages. LONGSHANKS (3) - jostled briefly with OPAWA COREY early stages
Race 7	2021 The Fitz Sports Bar NZ Galaxy - C5f - 295	CHARLOTTE LU (3) - hindquarters raced on early stages. NEVADA PHIL (4) - came up with the lid and was slow to jump. BIG TIME BRIE (5) - jostled with TYPHOON TIM early stages before being placed in restricted room having to check. TYPHOON TIM (6) - lost its footing racing off the mats before jostling with BIG TIME BRIE. VICTORIA LU (8) - hampered entering the bend.
Race 8	Balcairn Stockfoods & CopRice Dog Food Feature - C4 - 520	OPAWA ALBERT (2) - placed in restricted room entering the first bend. BIG TIME KAYLEE (4) - shifted up the track exiting the final bend hampering MUSTANG CHARLIE. IT'S A BABE (5) - checked from behind entering the first bend losing ground. BLINKEN LILY (6) - came together with DIAMOND WARRIOR early stages. Jostled with MUSTANG CHARLIE exiting the final bend and through the initial stages of the run home. MUSTANG CHARLIE (7) - slow to jump. Jostled with BLINKEN LILY exiting the final bend and through the initial stages of the run home. DIAMOND WARRIOR (8) - came together with BLINKEN LILY early stages.
Race 9	2021 Suck It Up Ltd NZ Greyhound Cup - C5f - 520	TOKYO BIRD (1) - jostled with FAIRLY ABLE early stages before being crowded by LEONARD BALE. Checked off heels back straight. FAIRLY ABLE (2) - jostled with TOKYO BIRD early stages before being crowded by LEONARD BALE. Checked rounding the bend by LEONARD BALE. LEONARD BALE (3) - crowded inside runners early stages. Faltered rounding the first bend free of interference losing ground rapidly checking FAIRLY ABLE. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have sustained a fractured right hock with a 90 day incapacitation issued. Must trial prior to resuming. CLARKE'S SARKI (5) - raced in tight quarters approaching the first bend and again entering the first bend. OPAWA SUPERSTAR (7) - forced down the track through the initial stages. Raced in tight quarters approaching the first bend. Checked entering the first bend. BIG TIME PANDA (8) - forced OPAWA SUPERSTAR down the track early stages. Checked and shifted up the track entering the first bend. Again checked rounding the first bend.
Race 10	Selwyn-Rakaia Vet Services Feature - C5 - 520	Stewards inspected the point of the track where LEONARD BALE faltered free of injury sustaining a fractured right hock. Stewards were satisfied the track surface remained in safe order with racing continuing. EPIC CRUZE (2) - hampered entering the first bend. JILLIBY LITSA (4) - assessed by vet and found to have a strained wrist. QUINCY BALE (5) - hampered entering the first bend. OPAWA TRAVIS (7) - assessed by vet and found to have a split webbing.
Race 11	2021 Camside Stud New Zealand Stayers Cup - C2df - 732	HE'S ALI (4) - awkward off the mat before being contacted from the outside by DIAMOND CRUSADE. STUDENT LOAN (6) - dragged down entering the first bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. DIAMOND CRUSADE (7) - collided with HE'S ALI early stages. Lost ground when climbing on heels first bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 12	Garrard's Horse And Hound Feature - C5 - 295	CURVE CRUSHER (5) - crowded entering the bend shifting off heels and up the track causing an inconvenience to HOMEBUSH SIRIUS. PENALTY DROP (7) - lost momentum when placed on heels approaching the bend. HOMEBUSH SIRIUS (8) - inconvenienced rounding the bend and forced to race wide.
