Judicial report: Special report: This meeting was run under Level 3 Government restrictions and Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid-19 protocols.

General:

1) - Trainers P Ferguson & B Bond were granted approval to leave the course and then return after providing satisfactory reasons.

2) - Trainer E Potts was cautioned for failing to comply with Covid protocols when not wearing a face mask in the parking area.

3) - Stewards opened an inquiry following a complaint being lodged by Trainer A Christiansen in relation to comments allegedly directed to him by several other handlers immediately following the running of Race 10. The inquiry was adjourned sine die to enable Stewards to investigate the matter.

4) - Stewards opened an inquiry into the late arrival of TYPICAL (S Ross) to the start of Race 7. The inquiry was adjourned sine die to enable Stewards to investigate the matter.

Adjudicative referral:

1) -Co-trainer K Williams admitted a charge under Rule 45-11 in that she presented "HARDCORE JET" up 2.8 kgs from its last recorded weight at its previous start at Cambridge on 14 October 2021. As this was the Trainers' 4th breach within the 120 day reset period the matter was referred to the Adjudicative Committee for determination.

Referred to the Vet after being distressed immediately following the event and found to have recovered with no abnormality detected . RAMBLIN' HARDY (2) - crowded entering the turn and shifted out across heels checking outside runners and lost its chance. WAITERIMU RIPPER (4) - checked entering turn and lost its chance. Referred to the Vet with no obvious abnormality being detected. HARDCORE BART (6) - slow to begin. Hampered entering turn losing its chance. Ran wide entering the home straight. OPAWA OLIVER (7) - slow to begin. HOMEBUSH FURY (8) - checked entering the turn and lost its chance. Referred to the Vet and found to have soreness in the left triceps with a 15 day stand down imposed.
Race 3	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Sprint - C2 - 375	FORD MAN (6) - shifted in across heels rounding the turn. OVERTAKING (7) - got onto the hindquarters of ASHEN entering the home straight when at the rear. Referred to the Vet and found to have soreness in the left triceps with a 15 day stand down imposed. DIAMOND TIGER (8) - slow to begin losing several lengths. ASHEN (9/1) - dragged down entering the run home when towards the rear. Referred to the Vet and found to have a strained left wrist with a 15 day stand down imposed.
Race 4	Yvette Bodiam Photography Sprint - C1 - 375	BIG TIME BERT (3) - slow to begin. Contact early. Bumped early in the run home. BEAUDEN JOHN (4) - contact early. Checked entering the home straight. BOOT CAMP TIARA (5) - contact early. Checked entering the home straight. MONEY TRAIL (6) - slow to begin losing several lengths. Contacted NIGHT ACE rounding the turn losing some momentum. Bumped early in the run home. NIGHT ACE (7) - contacted and turned sideways rounding the turn. HARDCORE KOBE (8) - shifted out entering the home straight checking several outside runners.
Race 5	Nightrave Rehoming Agency for Greyhounds Sprint - C2 - 375	THRILLING TUCKER (1) - shifted wide early in the run home. BIGTIME ALFIE (2) - hampered and lost ground early. Trailed the field throughout. ISN'T SHE BLISS (3) - checked for a distance early. RAILING RACCOON (4) - shifted in on jumping checking an inside runner.
Race 6	Farmlands Virkon Stakes - C1 - 457	THRILLING LENNOX (3) - bumped early. Crowded entering the turn. GIRL VIENNA (4) - bumped early. SIROCCO (7) - went up with the lids losing several lengths.
Race 7	Garrards Horse & Hound Sprint - C3 - 375	OPAWA CAMERON (2) - shifted out across heels approaching the home straight. BORN KATIE (4) - contact early. Crowded entering the turn. BUGSY BROWN (5) - contact early. Crowded entering the turn. Checked out across heels rounding the turn losing ground. THRILLING TESSA (6) - contact early. Shifted in entering the turn crowding inside runners.
Race 8	Affordable Pet Accessories Stakes - C2/3 - 457	THRILLING MERLIN (3) - shifted out after the start checking an outside runner. Contact entering the turn. MR BLACKJACK (5) - checked on two occasions shortly after the start and lost ground. BRICKMAN (6) - shifted in after the start checking an inside runner. NANA MOLLY (7) - contact entering the turn losing some momentum. GREAT WORK (8) - contact entering the turn losing some momentum.
Race 9	The Clubhouse Cambridge Sprint - C4 - 375	PAPA SMURF (2) - hampered early. THRILLING RAPPER (3) - hampered early. ALLEGRO RYLEE (4) - crowded and lost ground shortly after the start. FLAPPABLE (5) - shifted in early hampering inside runners. Hampered approaching the turn. MY MATE SPEIGHT (6) - shifted in approaching the turn hampering an inside runner. PINA COLADA (8) - slow to begin.
Race 10	Pinny Mack At Stud Distance - C1/2d - 650	BAILEYS NICE (4) - hampered entering first turn. Weakened final stages. Referred to Vet and found to have no abnormality. ADOBE NINJA (5) - hampered entering first turn. BAD BRO BAD (6) - shifted in entering first turn hampering inside runners. SHELLY POM (7) - bumped after the start. Race 12	Mike Stent Decorators Ltd Stakes - C4 - 457	Acting under the provisions of Rule 51.2 this event was declared a "No race" after the Lure lost power entering the turn and Stewards were of the opinion that this had affected the outcome of the race.

BRANDI CHASER (3) - checked shortly after the start and again for a distance approaching the turn. Checked entering the turn losing ground and hampering trailing runners. SADOWSKI (4) - checked shortly after the start. Hampered approaching the turn. BIG TIME LENNY (5) - checked shortly after the start losing ground. Hampered entering the turn.
