Special Report.

This meeting was run under Level 3 Government restrictions and Greyhound Racing New Zealand Work Safe Covid-19 protocols.

General:

1) - T Green was authorised to drive the lure for the entirety of the meeting.

2) - Only side on footage was available for the purposes of reporting.

3)- A selection of greyhounds performing training trials prior to the race meeting were subjected to having samples taking for the purpose of Out of Competition testing.

Satisfactory Trial:

1) - SABALAN (H Mullane) - completed a satisfactory trial as required.

Race 2	Jo's Wholesale & Sports Bar Taipa Tavern Sprint - C1 - 318	MY BRO BOBBY (1) - inconvenienced rounding the bend losing ground. LET EM TALK (3) - bumped first turn then tightened losing ground. ZIPPING SPOOK (4) - bumped first turn. FIRST LIGHT (5) - slow away. BIG TIME BOOTS (7) - raced wide.
Race 3	Pump & Engineering Services Ltd Stakes - C1 - 527	WHO IS COOPER (2) - contact start. SERBIAN ACE (3) - contact start. OPAWA BIG (4) - checked first turn. THEA WHO (6) - jostled after the start. OPAWA KIRK (7) - slow away. OPAWA TRUMP (8) - jostled after the start. Hampered first turn getting on heels becoming unbalanced losing ground. Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
Race 4	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C3 - 318	START BAILING (2) - contact start losing ground. Shifted wider away from heels first turn. Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Co Trainer J Smith advised START BAILING would derive benefit from the event. BIG TIME FELIX (3) - contact start becoming unbalanced losing ground. THRILLING HUDSON (7) - tightened between runners first turn losing ground. YOU READY BOOTS (8) - raced wide rounding the bend.
Race 5	MPS Fencing Sprint - C1/2 - 318	FOR YOU PAGE (1) - tightened and checked after the start losing ground. Collided first turn. HOUSE SURGEON (2) - collided for a distance after the start. AMMONITE (3) - tightened after the start losing ground. BLACK BRIDGE (4) - collided for a distance after the start. MARCUS (5) - contact after the start. ZIPPING PANTHER (6) - shifted wider off heels back straight. Collided first turn. MEDUSA WHO (7) - tightened making contact first turn shifting out across heels losing ground. YOU'RE GORGEOUS (8) - collided first turn.
Race 6	Mt Wellington TAB Stakes - C5 - 527	ZIPPING HEWITT (1) - raced wide back straight then shifted in entering the bend into the line of THRILLING FREDDY. Shifted wider final straight. THRILLING FREDDY (3) - steadied off heels racing toward the first turn. Tightened and checked leaving the back straight losing ground. Inconvenienced final straight shifting out away from heels. ZIPPING BARTY (5) - shifted in rounding the first turn making contact. PORTLAND DREAM (7) - slow away. Tightened making contact rounding the first turn losing ground.
Race 7	Sid Nancarrow Memorial Stakes - C2/3 - 527	OPAWA DELIGHT (1) - bumped after the start. Tightened first turn shifting out off heels making contact. Checked round the first bend losing ground going back onto BLACK MAVIS. BLACK MAVIS (2) - checked after the start then made contact. Hampered first turn losing ground. Checked rounding the first bend losing ground. MIRKO (3) - bumped after the start. Placed between runners final bend making brief contact. DOBBY WHO (4) - slow away then made contact. Checked first turn making contact losing ground. Raced in restricted room final bend. FEDERER (5) - bumped rounding the bend into the back straight. OPAWA SLICK (6) - tightened and checked first turn shifting out off heels. Contact final bend. OPAWA LIGHTNING (7) - bumped rounding the bend into the back straight. Collided final bend. ZIPPING LOCKETT (8) - slow away. Hampered first turn and forced wider. Collided final bend.
Race 8	Carol's TAB Taipa Tavern Sprint - C4/5 - 318	ZIPPING DEREK (1) - collided start. Tightened making contact first turn. Collided rounding the bend. ALLEGRO RORY (2) - slow away then checked. Tightened first turn. GOLDEN FERN (3) - slow away then checked. Hampered first turn shifting off heels losing ground. ZIPPING SAINT (4) - contact start. Hampered first turn becoming badly unbalanced losing all chance. Veterinary examination revealed pain in the right gracilis with a 10 day stand down imposed. WHEELS ON FIRE (5) - contact start.
