Supplementry Report:

Waikato GRC - 5th September 2021

1). Trainer S O'Neill has reported to Stewards that GOTCHA POPEYE was showing signs of Hypoxia post race and it was his intentions to give the greyhound a brief spell before trialing it on several occasions prior to resuming racing.

Late Scratchings:

1). All greyhounds from the R & N O'Regan kennels were late scratchings due to transportation issues.

Race 1	Follow Waikato Greyhounds on Facebook Sprint - C0 - 375	SHANMARIA (1) - placed in tight quarters entering the bend. LET EM TALK (2) - shouldered with SMOKIN' CHEESE early stages. SMOKIN' CHEESE (4) - shouldered with LET EM TALK early stages. DYNAMIC EMPIRE (6) - considerable slow to jump.
Race 2	Farmlands CopRice Sprint - C1 - 375	FORD MAN (1) - shouldered with SMASH MISFIT approaching the bend. Crowded and had to check entering the bend. SMASH MISFIT (3) - placed in restricted room early stages racing on the hindquarters of DUBSTEP as a consequence. Shouldered with FORD MAN approaching the bend. Again placed in restricted room entering the bend losing ground. DUBSTEP (5) - turned outwards early stages after having its hindquarters raced on when shifting down the track.
Race 3	The Clubhouse Cambridge Stakes - C1/2 - 457	THRILLING LENNOX (2) - lost ground when racing in tight quarters entering the bend. SMASH ZONE (4) - lost ground when racing in tight quarters entering the bend. LUCCA (7) - hindquarters raced on briefly on jumping. BORING (8) - raced on the hindquarters of LUCCA briefly on jumping.
Race 4	Mayhounds Greyhound Rehoming Group Sprint - C1 - 375	MEANDERING (8) - slow early.
Race 5	Garrards Horse & Hound Sprint - C3 - 375	THRILLING SPRITE (1) - forced down the track in the run to the bend. Placed in restricted room entering the bend. BORN KATIE (3) - came together with ASHEN exiting the bend. ASHEN (5) - came together with BORN KATIE exiting the bend. PREROGATIVE (6) - turned inwards early stages after crowding RAILING RACCOON. RAILING RACCOON (7) - crowded early stages. BUGSY BROWN (8) - crowded RAILING RACCOON early stages.
Race 6	Affordable Pet Accessories Sprint - C2 - 375	SMOKIN' CHIMNEY (1) - lost ground when squeezed for racing room entering the bend. NANA MOLLY (6) - slow early.
Race 7	Vetora Cambridge Sprint - C4/5 - 375	THRILLING NORMAN (1) - forced down the track early stages. Lost ground with the field in the run to the bend appearing to gallop in an uneven fashion. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a strained left tricep. BEAU BEAU (2) - forced THRILLING NORMAN down the track early stages. Hindquarters raced on for a stride entering the bend. JUST AS MUCH (3) - raced on the hindquarters of BEAU BEAU entering the bend. THRILLING NEVE (5) - lost ground when awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be lame in its left wrist on flexion
Race 8	Mike Stent Decorators Ltd Stakes - C3/4 - 457	SAKICHI (1) - crowded and obligated to check off heels in the run to the bend. SMOOTHIE (2) - jostled with PORTIA in the run to the bend. TRIGGERED (3) - obligated to check off heels early stages. ANTONIO (4) - raced in restricted room approaching the bend. PORTIA (5) - jostled with SMOOTHIE in the run to the bend.
