Auckland Greyhound Racing Club - 13 Jun 2021

1). Stewards have concluded their investigations in relation to the wagering during the course of this race meeting by Starter D Laing necessitating him being stood down from duties after Race 4. This investigation has found that from the period starting 4 June 2020 to 13 June 2021 Mr Laing engaged in 201 betting transactions at meeting in which he was the official starter. As a consequence to these finding Mr Laing was charged with breaching GRNZ Rule 12.2 (d) in that he directly or indirectly engaged in betting transactions at a Meeting at which he officiated in the position of Starter.

The Adjudicative Committee, after taking into account all evidence and penalty submissions tendered by Stewards and Mr Laing disqualified Mr Laing for 2 years commencing 5th August 2021.

Raced greenly final bend shifting wider then tightened making contact. THRILLING SNIPER (3) - checked start. Collided first turn losing ground. Shifted out off heels first turn. Checked final bend shifting out getting on heels becoming unbalanced. SMASH MISFIT (4) - collided start. BRANDI CHASER (5) - contact back straight. Collided first turn losing ground.
