BIG TIME FENDI (2) - came up with the lid losing considerable ground. VEGAS CHOPS (4) - shouldered with HOMEBUSH BRAVE through the initial stages and again entering the bend becoming awkwardly placed on heels and losing ground. PACHINKO (6) - boxed first. Jostled with FOR YOU PAGE approaching the bend. Checked from behind entering the bend. MY BRO JET (7) - raced in restricted room in the run to the bend checking inwards off heels. Awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend becoming unbalanced and losing ground. FOR YOU PAGE (8) - jostled with PACHINKO approaching the bend. Checked and turned outwards entering the bend.
Race 2	50th Duke Of Edinburgh Silver Collar 13 June Sprint - C1 - 318	PACEMAKER (2) - shifted up the track checking off heels in the run to the bend RAINY RIVER (3) - jostled with NIGHT ACE in the run to the bend. MY SNUGGLES (4) - placed in restricted room in the run to the bend. NIGHT ACE (5) - jostled with RAINY RIVER in the run to the bend.
Race 3	Morgainne Sprint - C1/2 - 318	AUDRETTE (1) - shifted up the track in the run to the bend. Coursed wide exiting the bend forcing AMMONITE up the track. IT'S COMPLICATED (2) - began awkwardly before shouldering briefly with GET ME HOME. GET ME HOME (3) - shouldered briefly with IT'S COMPLICATED early stages. BORN KATIE (6) - crowded for racing room entering the bend losing ground. AMMONITE (8) - dictated wide exiting the bend.
Race 4	Jo's Wholesale & Sports Bar Taipa Tavern Sprint - C3 - 318	PRIDEFUL (1) - awkwardly positioned on the heels of checked runners entering the bend losing its balance and falling to the track. Referred to the Veterinarian with a precautionary 5 day incapacitation issued. MY MATE SPEIGHT (2) - shifted up the track in the run to the bend hampering the racing line of SHERLOCK SQUASH before having its hindquarters raced on by COOLIBAH KID. Placed in restricted room entering the bend. SHERLOCK SQUASH (3) - racing line impeded early stages. COOLIBAH KID (4) - raced on the hindquarters of MY MATE SPEIGHT in the run to the bend before jostling briefly with STONES. Placed in restricted room entering the bend losing ground. STONES (5) - jostled briefly with COOLIBAH KID in the run to the bend. Checked from behind entering the bend.
Race 5	Cheeky Bonnie Sprint - C1/2 - 318	MISS HONEY (4) - forced down the track approaching the bend. OPAWA DONAL (7) - jostled with BIGTIME CUTIE in the run to the bend. BIGTIME CUTIE (8) - jostled with OPAWA DONAL in the run to the bend. Shifted down the track entering the bend placing MISS HONEY in restricted room.
Race 6	Barbie's Zorro Sprint - C1 - 318	SADOWSKI (4) - collided with KNUCKLES NUGGET early stages before shouldering briefly with SMASH TRUST. KNUCKLES NUGGET (5) - collided with SADOWSKI early stages. SMASH TRUST (9/3) - shouldered briefly with SADOWSKI early stages. Made contact with the running rail approaching the bend losing ground. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be lame in its right bicep and left calf muscles along with bruising to its right for toe with a 14 day incapacitation issued.
Race 7	Fairfield $10k Terminating Pick6 Stakes - C1/2 - 527	BIGTIME ALFIE (3) - awkwardly positioned to the inside of OPAWA NIGEL entering the first bend. MAX VOLUME (5) - brushed with NANA MOLLY early stages. Lost momentum when awkwardly placed to the inside of NANA MOLLY entering the first bend. Obligated to check off heels entering the back straight when crowded for racing room. NANA MOLLY (6) - brushed with MAX VOLUME early stages. Crowded and lost momentum when contacting REACT RESPOND entering the first bend. OPAWA NIGEL (7) - hampered entering the first bend when racing to the outside of BIGTIME ALFIE. REACT RESPOND (8) - crowded the racing room of NANA MOLLY entering the first bend being turned as a consequence.
Race 8	Mt Wellington TAB Sprint - C3/4 - 318	STARLIGHT RIA (1) - coursed wide exiting the bend dictating ELECTRIC DANCER up the track. ELECTRIC DANCER (4) - dictated up the track exiting the bend. OPAWA VIKING (5) - weakened rounding the bend becoming awkward in its gait. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Carol's TAB Taipa Tavern Stakes - C4/5 - 527	FEDERAL MORGAN (1) - briefly brushed shoulders with ZIPPING HEWITT approaching the first bend. ZIPPING HEWITT (3) - collided with SILENCI early stages. Placed in restricted room entering the first bend after briefly brushing with FEDERAL MORGAN. SILENCI (5) - collided with ZIPPING HEWITT early stages. Crowded this runner entering the first bend and was turned outwards as a consequence. DANISH DELIGHT (8) - checked outwards of heels entering the first bend losing ground.
Race 10	Qualified Pet Services Sprint - C5 - 318	NANGAR HURRICANE (1) - slow early. Faltered in the run to the lure and was subsequently referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have sustained a fractured hock with a 84 day incapacitation issued. Must also complete a satisfactory trial prior to resuming. THRILLING HUDSON (2) - lost ground when placed in restricted room entering the bend making contact with the hindquarters of CHOO CHOO as a consequence. OPAWA OSCAR (4) - slow early. Collided with JUST AS MUCH entering the bend. CHOO CHOO (5) - boxed first. Crowded the racing line of THRILLING HUDSON entering the bend having its hindquarters contacted as a consequence before faltering and pulling up from the race. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was established the greyhound had sustained a fractured right fibula and tibia along with a fracture right hock with the greyhound being euthanised on humane grounds. CANYA MONEYMAKER (7) - hampered by CHOO CHOO entering the bend. JUST AS MUCH (8) - collided with OPAWA OSCAR entering the bend.
Race 11	Thrilling Brat Stakes - C1 - 527	Stewards conducted a further track inspection before the track was conditioned for this race after the injuries sustained by 2 greyhounds in the previous event. It was the opinion of the Stewards after this inspection and consultation with GRNZ's track advisor Mr N Rugg that the track was in a safe and consistent order and the meeting continued as programmed. DIAMOND TIGER (1) - heels clipped entering the first bend shifting up the track as a consequence. MASTER BRADY (2) - hindquarters raced on by TRIGGERED in the early stages. Checked from behind entering the first bend. TRIGGERED (3) - raced on the hindquarters of MASTER BRADY in the early stages. HAPPY MEDIUM (5) - clipped the heels of DIAMOND TIGER entering the first bend. OPAWA CAMERON (6) - awkwardly positioned to the outside of GO HOME DUKE entering the first bend checking DIAMOND TIGER as a consequence and losing ground. GO HOME DUKE (7) - raced in tight quarters for a brief period through the early stages. Placed in restricted room entering the bend.
Race 12	Sportsbowl Function Centre Sprint - C1 - 318	TAP OUT BILL (1) - bumped from the outside by UP YOUR QUOTA early stages. UP YOUR QUOTA (2) - jostled briefly with OTAKI RIVER on jumping. Forced down onto TAP OUT BILL in the early stages. OTAKI RIVER (3) - jostled briefly with UP YOUR QUOTA on jumping. Crowded entering the bend being checked and shifting up the track as a consequence causing further checks to MAYBE MEGAN and FALL GRACEFULLY. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. RUBY EXPRESS (4) - shifted down the track early stages forcing UP YOUR QUOTA down onto TAP OUT BILL. APOLLO TOM (5) - crowded the racing line of OTAKI RIVER entering the bend being checked as a consequence. MAYBE MEGAN (6) - terminally checked entering the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. FALL GRACEFULLY (7) - terminally checked entering the bend.
