Wanganui GRC - 27 April 2021

1) Following the adjourned inquiry and subsequent investigation trainer Mr. W Hodgson was issued with an official warning for the manner in which he addressed another licensed person during the qualifying trials.

Warnings.

1) Handler R McArthur was issued with a warning when being late to collect her runner in Race 8.

Swabs.

Selected Greyhounds competing during the pre-race trials were subjected to swabs for the purposes of out of competition testing.

Race 1	WELCOME TO HATRICK C0 - C0 - 305	BLUEY (2) - in the run to the bend he bumped and jostled with BIG TIME PAISLEY for some strides. He was checked into the bend losing some ground. Recovered good ground across the top bend to the line. BIG TIME PAISLEY (3) - soon after the start she came together with BLUEY as this runner moved outwards. Nearing the bend she was bumped again a couple of times then severely tightened and checked causing her to stumble losing her balance and contacting FRECKLE as they entered the bend. She lost all chance thereafter. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. FRECKLE (4) - severely hampered soon after the start when tightened and bumped between runners. He was then bumped again as BIG TIME PAISLEY came out and bumped again with this runner and lost ground as they entered the bend. FROSTY PARADISE (5) - hampered racing from the start as HOMEBUSH TAYNA angled across. Angled sharply across the line of BIG TIME PAISLEY entering the bend. AHUROA LADY (6) - checked racing off the mats as HOMEBUSH TAYNA angled across her line. AL'S CASINO (7) - checked racing off the mats as HOMEBUSH TAYNA angled across her line. HOMEBUSH TANYA (8) - angled across sharply from the jump causing checks to several runners.
Race 2	LASER PLUMBING C0 - C0 - 520	BIG TIME ADISON (3) - checked at the jump as BIG TIME CHASE ran into her, she was then checked again as EFFORTLESS RUN ran inwards. She was checked again entering the first turn as EFFORTLESS RUN improved along her inner. She drifted to the rear into the back straight and was unable to improve to the line. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME CHASE (4) - angled inwards sharply from the jump. He was then hit and pushed into BIG TIME ADISON as EFFORTLESS RUN barged across. He caught this dogs heels and stumbled for a stride or so losing ground back to a clear last in the running. He came back off the heels of BIG TIME ADISON in the run towards the back straight, then made ground thereafter to the line. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. STAY ME BROKE (5) - slow away then checked as EFFORTLESS RUN angled across his line. EFFORTLESS RUN (6) - angled across from the jump running into BIG TIME CHASE. He then ran inwards sharply again across the line of BIG TIME CHASE and contacted the rail hard. He recovered quickly back into stride making good ground to the line. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. BIG TIME AUBREY (7) - hampered soon after the start as COOL RUN angled across jostling for a couple of strides. COOL RUN (8) - angled across in the run towards the first turn bumping with BIG TIME AUBREY for some strides. BIG TIME BLAZE (9/1) - led into the first turn. Weakened in the run to the line.
Race 3	LANCE GREEN ACCOUNTANT C1 - C1 - 305	ALAMEIN BEAUDEN (2) - slow away by several lengths. made ground steadily to the line. BIG TIME TED (3) - began awkwardly for a stride or so contacting ALLEGRO RYLEE as they came off the mats as HARDCORE KYLIE ALLEGRO RYLEE (4) - contact as she came off the mats and went outwards onto heels ,then angled across to the rail. ALLEGRO MOSES (6) - fav- angled across heels into the bend becoming crowded between runner's for a few strides. Made good ground after clearing runners.
Race 4	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C1 - C1 - 305	AL'S WITCH (1) - angled wide across the face of the field in the run to the bend racing wide thereafter. ALAMEIN GRAEME (4) - tightened and checked racing from the start checking losing his initial momentum. Settled back ran wide onto the top bend losing ground and finished in the rear at the line .Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. ALLEGRO VEY (5) - angled inwards from the jump tightening ALAMEIN GRAEME BIG TIME MELODY (8) - angled inwards entering the bend crowding runners to her inner for a few strides and was bumped and jostled for some strides in the run onto the top bend. WHITMAN (9/3) - angled from the jump contacting and tightening ALAMEIN GRAEME.
Race 5	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C1 Ht1 - C1q - 305 Heat 1	BIG TIME NOAH (1) - began awkwardly for a stride or so. Tightened and checked into the bend losing several lengths. MOTHER'S TOUCH (2) - contacted in the shoulder and checked back racing into the bend. MITCHAM NIKORIMA (3) - angled into the bend onto the shoulder of MOTHER'S TOUCH and crossed her line entering the bend. HARDCORE BRUTE (6) - angled across heels racing wide and was unbalanced entering the bend as KING THEODEN angled inwards. HOMEBUSH MILLIE (7) - attempting to improve wide across the top bend, then angling in across heels losing some momentum. KING THEODEN (8) - improving wide and became unbalanced and lost some ground entering the bend hampering HARDCORE BRUTE.
Race 6	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C1 Ht2 - C1q - 305 Heat 2	BIG TIME RICKY (1) - awkwardly away for a stride or so. Improved into the midfield and was tightened and checked back entering the bend. He settled in the rear to the line. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. ARIANA SUNSET (2) - Soon after the start she was bumped and pushed inwards then came out checking across heels. Became awkwardly placed angling into the bend losing momentum and ground. SADOWSKI (3) - checked racing off the mats as DILLER angled across her line. DILLER (4) - angled sharply across from the jump checking runners to her inner. ALLEGRO GRACIE (7) - dictated runners across into the bend, forced to race widest onto the top bend.
Race 7	PRESIDENTS DASH C1 Ht3 - C1q - 305 Heat 3	FATHER LEO (1) - Settled handy when clipped from behind and jostled, then angled out between runners racing into the bend. LOUDRED (2) - dwelt at the jump. Jostled with DONALBAIN entering the bend catching hindquarters and checking back losing momentum as he looked to clear the hind of LOUDRED. CLIFF TOP MOLLY (4) - led into the bend and was clipped from behind as BIG TIME QUINN ran onto her heels dragging her down for a stride or so. She lost momentum finishing in the midfield at the line. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. IDOL ZIGGY (5) - contacted in the shoulder and dictated inwards then came back off heels entering the bend. DONALBAIN (6) - jostled with LOUDRED was then checked as FATHER LEO checked out over heels into his line resulting in LOUDRED contacting his hindquarters. BIG TIME QUINN (7) - fav- angled into the bend and soon after ran onto the heels of CLIFF TOP MOLLOY checking this runner.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 Ht4 - C1q - 305 Heat 4	AL'S LOADED (3) - went up with the lids. Soon after she was severely crowded and jostled between runners going back onto PARADOX PRINCE . She was tightened and hampered for some strides as ELLE improved on her outer. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. PARADOX PRINCE (4) - went up with the lids and was awkwardly away. Soon after he was tightened and crowded being checked and ran into the hind of AL'S LOADED being unbalanced and ran wide into the bend. He appeared to be uncomfortable in his galloping action for some strides. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. LUCY LINGERS (6) - contact in the hindquarters racing off the mats. Soon after she bumped with PARADOX PRINCE as she angled across . She was unbalanced and went into the body of the field being tightened and jostled going back off the hind of HOMEBUSH SUGAR.
Race 9	LANCE GREEN ACCOUNTANT C1 - C1 - 520	BIGTIME AVA (1) - racing towards the first turn she was severely tightened and checked contacting the rail. She lost momentum and ground. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. ALLEGRO RUBY (3) - in the run towards the first turn she was severely crowded and forced to check off the hind of HERE'S HEMI as this runner was forced inwards. Racing around the first turn she was hampered for some strides when attempting to clear HERE'S HEMI. Bumped with HERE'S HEMI entering the far bend. HERE'S HEMI (4) - soon after the start he was pressured across the face of ALLEGRO RUBY and BIGTIME AVA tightening and checking these runners .He jostled with ALLEGRO RUBY for several strides in the run around the first turn. Bumped with ALLEGRO RUBY entering the far bend. STORMY JAY (5) - soon after the start she was bumped and pressured across onto HERE'S HEMI forcing this runner inwards for several strides. JETLAG JAG (6) - slow away. Angled across the line of checked runners entering the first turn. ALLEGRO PEACHES (7) - angled across in the run to the first turn causing severe tightening and checks to several runners.
Race 10	ACCELL "LEADING THE WAY IN CANINE THERAPY" C2 - C2 - 305	JUSTIN LINCOLN (1) - began awkwardly was then checked losing his initial momentum as ALLEGRO LEXI was bumped in across his line. He settled back angling out to race wide into the bend VIKING ASH (3) - checked racing off the mats as BAILEY AND CREAM angled into her pushing her onto ALLEGRO LEXI. Soon after she was jostled between runners and checked over heels losing ground racing into the bend. BAILEY AND CREAM (4) - angled in from the jump contacting VIKING ASH. Soon after he was bumped as DOUBLE QUEENIE was pushed across. Checked and ran wide on the top bend as BIG TIME YONKERS checked across his line. TESTING TIME (5) - dictated inwards from the jump, then angled in between runners being bumped and jostled for a few strides. made quick ground along the inner when clear of runners across the top bend. DOUBLE QUEENIE (6) - in the run towards the bend she was crowded contacting the hindquarters of BAILEY AND CREAM. BIG TIME YONKERS (7) - angled across in the run towards the bend hampering DOUBLE QUEENIE for some strides. She caused herself to check on the top bend as she ran onto the hind of MEXICAN CUTIE losing ground. MEXICAN CUTIE (8) - leading towards the top bend and lost ground when checked as BIG TIME YONKERS onto her hindquarters. ALLEGRO LEXXI (10/2) - checked racing from the start .Ran wide and lost ground entering the bend. Was unable to improve thereafter. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 11	KERNOW CONSTRUCTION C2 - C2 - 305	SEDGEBROOK SALLY (5) - pressured across onto the shoulder of BIG TIME LORNA entering the bend. Soon after she was checked when tightened between runners and unbalanced for a couple of strides. BIG TIME ARI (6) - angled across towards the bend pressuring SEDGEBROOK SALLY inwards and was checked as XANTHONE improved to her outer. She was hampered across the top bend when looking to clear heels. ZIPPING LUTHER (7) - dwelt at the jump. Settled back angled inwards into the bend and was held up when looking to clear heels. Made good ground to the line XANTHONE (8) - fav- angled into the bend contacting BIG TIME ARI and ran wide losing some ground. He raced widest thereafter. BIG TIME LORNA (10/4) - led out into the bend where she was contacted and became unbalanced going outwards and was further contacted in the hindquarters losing ground and finished in the rear at the line. Assessed by the vet and cleared of injury.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305	SHAMROCK GREEN scratched due to change of trainer. DOTTIE BELL (1) - began awkwardly. In the run to the bend she was hampered for some strides and clipped heels stumbling for a stride running wide onto the top bend. BIG TIME TATUM (2) - dwelt at the jump then soon after had trouble clearing heels for some strides. RAINY RIVER (4) - bumped soon after the start. AHUROA PRINCESS (6) - angled across from the jump bumping into RAINY RIVER. HYPOTHETICAL (9/3) - soon after the start he bumped and jostled with DOTTIE BELL for several strides. Racing into the bend he was checked and went back onto DOTTIE BELL becoming awkwardly placed going out over the heels of BIG TIME TATUM.
