General:

1). IRON EYES ( E Potts) - Ms Potts reported that this greyhound sustained a metatarsal injury when trialing during the week necessitating its scratching from todays meeting. Ms Potts added the greyhound would now be retired from racing.

2). Trainer S O'Neill was given permission to scratch his greyhounds engaged in todays meeting on compassionate grounds.

Stand downs Rescinded:

1). BUGSY BROWN (W & T Steele) - was represented today after being late scratched at the Waikato GRC's meeting on the 13th May 2021 and has been found free of injury.

Warnings:

1). J Udy & D Cottam were cautioned for presenting OUR HOTROD for kennel after the prescribed time.

1) . YOU READY BOOTS (T & L Craik) - Satisfactory trial required

Late Scratching:

1). LILLY STAR (H Mullane) - on Veterinary advice upon retrieval from the kennels.

Race 1	Follow Auckland GRC on Facebook Sprint - C0 - 318	LILLY STAR(9) - was a late scratching after presenting with toe pain in its right front foot on retrieval from its kennel. FOR YOU PAGE (3) - collided start. Contact first turn. Collided entering the final straight. PACHINKO (4) - boxed first. MY BRO JET (6) - checked first turn. Collided entering the final straight. YOU READY BOOTS (8) - stood in the boxes as the start was effected. Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards questioned the continued conduct of this greyhounds inability to leave the boxes in a competitive fashion. Co Trainer L Craik advised Stewards it was their intention to spell the greyhound. Notwithstanding this the greyhound has been stood down to complete a satisfactory trial. BIG TIME BETH (10/2) - collided start. Gave ground rounding the bend. Veterinary examination revealed left fore metacarpal pain with a 28 day incapacitation issued.
Race 2	Sandy Shane Sprint - C1 - 318	AMMONITE (1) - bumped first turn. SMASH OUT (2) - inconvenienced first turn. Collided final bend. APOLLO TOM (3) - contact back straight. Held up final bend shifting in off heels making brief contact. TIDES RISING (4) - bumped start then tightened making contact soon after losing ground and shifting in off heels becoming awkwardly placed near the running rail. NIGHT ACE (5) - bumped start. Collided back straight. Collided first turn. KNUCKLES NUGGET (6) - bumped soon after the start shifting wider. Collided first turn. Obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event. Collided final bend becoming unbalanced. BIGTIME BREMNER (7) - bumped start. Contact first turn losing ground. Collided final bend. JUST NIA (8) - bumped start.
Race 3	Lochinvar Brando Stakes - C0 - 527	BIG TIME FENDI (1) - began awkwardly losing ground. THRILLING SPRITE (2) - collided first turn. CHINESE BYRNS (4) - collided after the start. LADY QUINZEL (6) - tightened and hampered after the start. Shifted wide final bend. MARRAY PRINCE (7) - collided start. Angled in contacting hindquarters first turn shifting out then shifting in coming together with EYE SPY LUNA EYE SPY LUNA (8) - hampered first turn becoming unbalanced.

COOLIBAH KID (3) - collided start. Tightened first turn and contacted from behind losing ground. Contact rounding the bend. FERNANDO CHARM (5) - collided back straight. Bumped first turn. Bumped final bend. ALLEGRO RORY (6) - slow away. Hampered after the start getting forced inwards. Steadied first turn when tightened. Held up for a distance rounding the bend. ROD'S GIRL (7) - contact start then shifted in onto ALLEGRO RORY. Checked first turn getting on heels losing ground. Tightened and checked rounding the bend losing ground. PORTLAND BERRY (8) - bumped start. Collided back straight. OPAWA DONAL (9/4) - slow away then hampered losing ground. Contact rounding the bend.

Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. NANA MOLLY (5) - tightened and hampered for a distance first turn losing ground. Tightened leaving the back straight. BIGTIME ALFIE (6) - hampered first turn shifting wider. OPAWA DELIGHT (7) - collided first turn. Bumped leaving the back straight. ROMANTIC DANCER (8) - slow away. Contact first turn.

Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a laceration to its right fore arm with a 10 day stand down imposed. HOUSE SURGEON (3) - slow away. Tightened making contact first turn.
